Hi! I Rooted my Galaxy Tab 2 3100 with Odin. Because the Memory is SO small I tried to unistall some root programs........I blew it....
Now after the Galaxy Tab 2 logo appears it stays in the SAMSUNG logo for ever. Pressing volume up plus power gets you into Odin with 2 choices
Dowload a Rom....stays for Hours downloading and nothing happens
Cancel and reset......back to the same story......
Is there a way of hard resetting?
The rooting I did after I upgardaed to 4.2.2 android version.
HELP ME!! I promess not to fool arround with ROOT programs anymore!!!! Jajajajaja!
Simple - you have download mode, then use it. You know how to use Odin on PC?
Yeah "download" means you hook it up to your computer and send the stock image over Odin. It doesn't download from the Internet or anything like that.

Ok....

Thanks a lot! I´m not very good at this, as you can tell..........
Questions:
How do I get it into the "comunication mode" with Odin, where do I download the stock image, and how do I install the image in the tablet.
Thanks again!!
Ok........

- Go to sammobile.com and download the latest Stock firmware available for your region.
- On the page where you download the firmware there's also a link to ODIN.
- If the USB drivers aren't already installed just download the "Samsung USB Drivers" (Google's your friend) or install Kies (though when attempting to flash with ODIN _NONE_ of Kies' background processes must run!).
- Unpack the ODIN ZIP archive, right-click the EXE file -> "Run as Administrator"
- Once you're in ODIN click the "PDA" and select the .tar.md5 of the firmware you downloaded
- TURN OFF THE TABLET and DISCONNECT from the charger/USB
- Press and hold POWER + VOL UP
- On the screen that will now show up select "Download Mode"
- Connect the tablet and wait for a second (in case Windows wants to install some driver first)
- Flash
- Disconnect once the tablet restarts and let it do its thing
Thank You!!!

Hi everyone,
I tried to root my Samsung Galaxy following the guide from xda developers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056334).
I forgot to enable the USB debugging mode on the device (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging)
I started ODIN, then my device rebooted. I started SuperOneClick and I received a message saying "device not found".
Then I went to check the guide, and I saw that I forgot to enable the USB debugging mode on the device (Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging).
Can anyone help me to fix this?
I'm from Portugal. If I wrote anything wrong sorry for my mistake and for any inconvenience.
Thank you for any help.
Not sure if you're just having problems with Odin recognizing your phone or not but the basics are to ensure you have the phones drivers installed and enable usb debugging. Afterwards you make sure your phone gets recognized fully from your computer once plugging it in. If so you start Odin AND THEN plug in your phone with the directions for getting to download mode (removing battery and holding volume button etc) and in Odin it should show a connection on a com port tile. Then you load up your files and send them. If anything I am sure you just may have a problem by not being in download mode?

I have the latest drivers from my cell phone operator. I can only have access to Kies on my pc (but now, kies doesn't recognize any device plugged to the pc), my phone don't let me gain access to the menu and to any application.
Get into download mode and go into keis and start a firmware upgrade and initialization. (you will need model number and serial number behind the battery) and go through the process it tells u to. Then you will be back to stock, then try to root from there the proper way.

You could find a stock ROM first (depends on where you bought your phone / country, provider) and flash through Odin. Unplug your phone from your PC > task manager > kill all KIES apps > turn on your phone into download mode > open ODIN > connect phone to PC
Then ODIN should show your phone is connected with a yellow box, depending on what ROM you downloaded you put the needed file in the PDA box (file with the name such as I9100XWLP7_I9100XXLPS_I9100XENLP3_HOME.tar.md5), click START and wait until that box goes from yellow to green. Phone should reboot now. If it gets stuck, get into the recovery mode (Vol UP + home + power) and wipe everything.

Put GT-P5100 in the search box and choose the Rom that you want from the list. You'll need to register to get the link.

You need to quote me in your reply or I don't get a notification.
There's nothing to stop you rooting it again and extracting the data from your nandroid backup once you've installed the Rom
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
You can't really restore them, because they're on a different ROM, it'd overwrite all your fresh and fast ROM.
In two words: you can't.
You will need a country specific firmware, where did you buy your P5100; was it from.. anywhere in the world? Check for a sim card slot.
If it doesn't, get on to reading!
1. Find how much bits your windows is.... this can be done by opening the start orb in the bottom left corner, then right-click on computer. Click Properties, and look for 64 or 32.
Pick 64 if you have 64, or pick 32 if you have 32.
2. Install drivers according to your bits.
These will ensure good experience.
- 64bit: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOB...dows-x64.shtml
- 32bit: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOB...dows-x86.shtml
3. Download UK recovery! That is, if you don't have a SIM card slot.
Find here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/3/?download=22456
Now, I was quite lazy to write a tutorial, so I did copy some sources. they will all be given credit.
1. Download and Install the Samsung USB drivers to your PC from the link above. Reboot your system once after installation. If you have already have KIES installed you can skip this step
Extract the Odin Package you downloaded earlier to your desktop. Look for the Odin exe file. That's the only one we would be using
Extract the downloaded stock firmware zip file to your desktop
On your Tab, go to Settings > Developer Options and Enable USB Debugging
Now Power off your Tab completely. We will now be putting your device into Download mode or Odin Mode as it is also called. Download mode is basically a Samsung Exclusive mode which allows flashing of firmware via Odin. Odin can only communicate with Samsung devices when they are in Download Mode. To get there, press and hold these keys together: Volume Down + Power. Then press Volume Up to enter download mode
On your PC, launch Odin by double clicking the exe file in the Odin folder. Just make sure that Samsung KIES is not running on your PC at this time. KIES and Odin don't like each other very much.
Connect your Tab 2 to PC using the OEM USB cable. Any microUSB cable should work, but I prefer to use the one supplied with the phone to avoid any unforeseen complications. You should see the message Added!! in the main Odin message box like in the screenshot below, as well as as COM Port number in the first slot directly above the message box, which tells you that Odin has recognized your device
odin_zpsc9caf496.jpg
In Odin, click the PDA button, locate the stock firmware .tar file that you extracted in Step 3. If there are additional file for the modem and CSC, add those as well. Make sure the Auto Reboot and the Reset Time boxes are checked and Re-partition box is NOT checked.
Double check everything in Step 8, then hit the Start button to restore your Tab 2 to stock Samsung firmware
Once Odin has finished flashing the CWM recovery, your Tab should automatically reboot. And if the flashing was successful, you should see the word PASS! against a green background at the top-left in the Odin window. This means it is now safe to disconnect your device. *this way worked for my soft bricked SM-t561 Galaxy tab E. and I hope it'll work for you'll too. after this process all the data from your device will be gone as if it was bought new. Pls make sure you charged your device so that it won't shutdown during the process.
Make sure you have installed samsung USB drives latest version before doing this. If not download it from this link. -----> https://droiddocket.com/download/samsung-usb-drivers-v1-7-23-0/
1.type your model number and search google for flashable firmware for your device. Download it, and unzip it.
2.Download Odin latest version, unzip it and double click Odin3_v3.14.4 file .
3.then you'll get a notification probably, click ok. After that you'll get like this, after that take your soft bricked phone and click power button + volume up /down + home button then
your phone will look like this,
after that connect your device to the computer, on your computer you'll see this.
then click "AP" and select the unzipped firmware you downloaded and click enter.
after that click start and it will start flashing you'll see the progress from your device and from your pc. It will take a while so DON'T un plug the device. after it's done you'll see this in your pc then unplug your device and then it's done.
Don't mind my gramatical mistakes. I hope this helped you.

Hello everyone. I need help here.
I have a Samsung SM-T561 & some months ago, I upgraded to version 7.1
Then a few days ago, I wanted to upgrade it to version 10.
That's where things got messed up!
1st. I didn't make a backup of what current ROM.
2nd. I completely forgot to enable USB debugging (again, despite It wasn't the first time I used custom ROM)
3rd. The problem must have been from the ROMS I installed. They didn't work. So I factory resetted EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING. INCLUDING THE SYSTEM.
So basically, I HAD TWRP. I HAD NO OS. I DIDNT TURN ON USB DEBUGGING MODE.
Then I understood that I didn't need ODIN anymore because I had TWRP.
So.
I downloaded the files to flash again. On SD card. And inputted it inside . So it still DIDNT WORK!!
Then I flashed in IMAGE form.
Then my TWRP DISAPPEARED.
IM ON CONSTANT BOOTLOOP.
THE ONLY THING I CAN ACCESS IS THE DOWNLOAD MODE.
AND I CAN NOT CONNECT WITH ODIN BECAUSE I HAVENT TURNED ON USB debugging...
Someone should kindly... please. Get back to me
Howdy,
I've screwed up with installing a custom rom over another custom.
Now I'm getting an error:
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again.
It's a tablet:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (p5100)
In my computer im using windows 10 pro, and adb device is not regonized.
What I neeed to do to get pasted that error?
Thanks for the help!
There is nothing to worry.
It is easy to solve this.
Just download Odin in your pc.
Download the official firmware if your device here.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-P5100/
Now open Odin In pc
Connect your device to the pc .
Now in the app under PDA browse for the firmware you have downloaded and click start.
Wait till it says pass.
That's it you have successfully solved your problem.
Now it will take some time to boot.
In case you feel that you are in a bootloop just go to recovery and perform a factory reset .
Odin download http://odindownload.com/download/Odin3_v3.10.6.zip

Greetings;
I don't know if you already entered Download Mode...
Most problems accessing Recovery and Download Modes are due to having the USB Cable connected.
Remove the cable; press the key combination; and it will boot.
(Except if there's some incompatible ROM flashed by mistake).
After that plug the USB Cable again (if your USB Drivers have also installed for Download Mode) Odin will recognize it (like shown in your Screen Shot).
REMEMBER:
While Flashing do NOT Remove USB Cable, untill Odin Displays "Pass" message.
Further issues: Let us know. We're would be Glad to help.

You have to reinstall the correct firmware for your device.
Flashing Guide:
first download a correct firmware for model of your device(Go to setting>About phone>Model Number(it starts with SM) from www.updato.com or www.sammobile.com and then put it on you computer. then download ODIN PC version.
after downloading them charge your device over 60 percent and then conncect it to the pc.
then power off your device and hold Volume down + Home button + Power button together after that a page will be shown then Press Volume + to Confirm.
Run Odin and unzip the firmware that you have downloaded it(the file extension is .Tar) then click on AP on ODIN and select the firmware file wait for few minutes to file is being read.
Make sure that Auto Reboot is selected and Re-partiation is deselected then start the flashing after that you will get a message(Done with Green Color)
to asure your device has been inserted to ODIN the top of Odin color will be changed to Blue.
Be careful,Odin its a powerful software and if you dont know about flashing dont use it. It may cause to your device to be instable/.
