The process is exactly the same since you are already on stock JB. Just follow the guide and if you get stuck just ask.

Nice! I'm glad it worked for you. Enjoy your new tablet!
I want to root using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1845377
"Extract the recovery with fastboot files zip and open a command prompt in the same folder of the adb and fastboot files (Shift + Right mouse)"
if i press Shift + right mouse in the folder I don't get a command prompt. Do I need to select both files and the run as administrator? I don't get the command promt option.
I am running Windows 8
EDIT: Shift key don't do anything..
Can you please share your stock build.prop file? Important for me

When you have your fastboot folder open press shift and then right click. One of the options in the menu should be "open command window here". That should do it unless Windows 8 has changed this.

TF300T UK Model Build 10.4.2.18
I apologise if help is on another thread which I could not find.
I cannot find on any other forum a hard and fast answer.
My TF300T is a UK model.
It has arrived with Build 10.4.2.18 already installed.
I want to root it and install a custom ROM. Like many others I want to remover some of the pre-installed apps such as Chrome.
I've rooted 4 HTC phones with no problem but I just cannot find a hard and fast post with instructions to rid this 10.4.2.18 of its factory installed ROM.
I have unlocked the device using the ASUS website.
I appreciate your feedback.
Regards

just dl this file
http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/tf300t/openrecovery-twrp-2.2.2.0-tf300t-JB.blob
TWRP Recovery for JB Bootloader. Its an older Versions which runs without any problems. The 2.3 or CWM are giving many problems to many User, so i recommend the 2.2
Take a look here
http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/97
on how to installe via adb or fastboot.
After that you can just go into TWRP recovery with turning on while Power and Vol- pressed at the same time
Than switch to RCK with Vol- and choose it with Vol+.
Once in Recovery you can install all JB Bootloader compatible Roms like you are used to

Thanks So far the performance is just so much better (especially surfing using Chrome and playing games), but performance mode can make my tablet crash (i installed the Infinitys 1.8Ghz kernel so normal i guess?), especially when doing heavy stuff like benchmarking.
I flashed userdata, and it wiped everything as expected.
But I didn't have a ROM installed. So I'm OSless and there is no OS on the internal SD card anymore.
What do I do in this situation?

That's because you've not got adb/fastboot in your System Path. You'll need to extract the image to your fastboot folder and then run the flash-all.bat file again

Find a girl with a number you can text to. Whatever you do, the phone stays!
I rooted My phone, OPO, on CM11S, installed TWRP, flashed SuperSU,, and unchecked CM recovery. Everything seemed working fine. Yesterday I installed the just released OTA, I lost root access. I then re-flashed it with SuperSU, gained root access again. However, I am having problems with fastboot. Problem 1, phone won't boot into fastboot mode when I pressed both power and volumn up buttons. Problem 2, adb command "reboot bootloade" will only reboot the phone and fails to put it into fastboot mode. Problem 3, The only ways I can boot the phone into fastboot mode are either via the option in the power menu or via TWRP. Either way, even the phone showed it was in the fastboot mode, it still refused to take the fastboot command. The system responded with "no permission fastboot" instead. How can it be fixed or restored? Thanks for help in advance.

When the phone worked, did you use an app called BOOT UNLOCKER?
If so, your screwed. You will have to find a way back in to unlock it.
ONLY USE THE FACTORY OEM LOCK. Boot locker runs a script bootloader side that you can't change. (that I know of...).

Yes it is in the right place. But, as my colleague @R_a_z_v_a_n said in your first thread, he was moving it from the XDA Assist section to here, so now you have two threads in the same place. It's ok, we'll probably get rid of the older one so this one can be your active thread.

The other things I'm noticing are...
1. You are in sideload mode when trying to push the rom.
2. There is a space between the filename and .zip (this is ok if that is the actual name of the file, can you copy and paste the filename or a screenshot of the file?)
When you push the file you should be on the main recovery screen not sideload.
Paging @Heisenberg you know more about Bacon then I do ...am I even in the ballpark with my advice?
Your best option is probably to just use fastboot to flash the stock images to your phone, have a look at section 8 of my guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
@BD619, your advice is good! I personally just prefer to use the stock images over using sideload.

Can all of this be done on a Mac using these folders? Where there is an .exe file in a folder, is there a Mac equivalent?
You can still use adb and fastboot on a Mac. Just Google search for a guide on how to install it on a Mac.

Hey guys, first of all sorry for my bad english, its not my mothers language.

So i guess twrp cannot notice that this is a shield, and therefore i cannot install another rom and another OS. Now i cannot do anything..
Any ideas?
Hope you can help. Have a nice weekend

Okay first of all, thanks a lot. Because of you i started searching for those key words you wrote. And i find a solution.
Found another solution, but yours works fine too
For everyone else having this problem:
Go into your .zip with winrar (or something else), go to META-INF/com/google/android and extract the updater-script.
Open it with notepad++ and delete every line with "getpro(xyz)" and insert it again into your .zip
There you go, it works.
Thx alot )
