What should i pick?

Hey guys,
I got an option to replace my captivate with other phones, what should i get?
The newer version the better.. And i want it to be able to access any update of OS any time, if there is any.. Without any hassle..
So guys, what can you recommend? Thanks for reading..

Nexus S is not available through AT&T.
MRQuad, what's the timeframe for you to make a decision? If you want Android on AT&T, there isn't too much at this moment, but the offerings should get better as we get into 2011.

I would recommend wait for 2 more months. Good phones are lined up for release. But this would be feasible only if u have the option to wait, and picking the phone isn't due immediately.

Anything but samsung.

Assuming you want to stay with at&t. Wait and get the Atrix.
That is if you have the option to wait.

Why not research phones you are interested in and decide from there. You don't need people on the internet to make suggestions for you. Would you ask random strangers what car you should buy?

or if you can hold off 4-6 months i would think we will start to see some dual cores with 2.3 out of the box

actually, i have the option to replace my fone for 3yrs. As long as there is faulty on it.. Kinda insurance thingy for my fone, but i paid extra for it.. The sales guy says i can change it as long as it's the same provider.. Im from canada by the way.
Ican tell there is faulty on my fone.. Do you think i should wait for two years and replace the fone with a new one?

[REQUEST] Motorola Triumph Forum

The Moto Triumph will be released here in the US on July 19th and a forum would be awesome. I started this topic over in the Android Hacking section without realizing that this was where it needed to be. About 5 of us over in the other section signed the petition. Hopefully we have more luck here. I predict a lot of themes and roms for this device will surface. It is thought to be a rebadged Huawei Ideos X6, so it might be easier to develop for than other Moto phones.

Full hdmi mirroring, adreno 205, etc. Im excited.

Im sure the photon will be getting a subforum in due time. Im campaigning for the Triumph to get one because I do not want it to be overlooked because it is a prepaid device.

I'm keeping an eye on this phone. Rumor at HoFo was that Virgin was going up to $35 a month, but haven't seen any dates.
I really liked the Optimus V, and plan to move to Virgin sometime soon. A Triumph would be nice. Hopefully some 'slickdeals' happen on it soon.

Worth buying for $95 obo?

Spotted this deal on craigslist. Comes with a car and home charger for $95 obo. looks clean in the pics. Might be stolen though, so I'm not sure if it's worth it.

from price point its a good deal as long as you could make sure ... everything works.
from xda point of view I guess this phone is among the few that got most attention from devs so there is a lot of custom FW available for this little phone.

It's for my lady she played with a galaxy s 4g in a t-mobile store and liked it. she still has a nokia 5800 lol haven't heard back from the person, so... found a galaxy s 4g for $75 lol waiting to hear back as well.

Xda gave the phone gingerbread but that is where it ends. No cm7 no miui. Truthfully, this phone is not getting the support.
Good news is that this phone is a great phone and at that price is worth it.

My girlfriend was running cm7 nightlies. It runs really well, pulls home fast data on i9000 roms. As long as you go custom rom, it's a pretty good phone

we have a thread in the sensation sub-forum about gs2 and a lot of people didn't want to get it because of the quality issues with their vibrants and galaxie's. is it really that bad?

try to get the ime of the phone and call att and ask them to verify the ime if someone just reported if it was stolen or lost.. I did that before I buy a cheap phone from craigslist.. just to be cautious

Verizon is not the same phone and you need to sign up for two years. I think it is a good deal, but that is me.

Maybe you should ask him if he would help first. If he agrees then we might be able to set up another phone fund. Since we just lost are kernel dev it would be great to get another.

If you guys are still selling your phones, I would recommend putting an ad up on your local craigslist. Before I dove into the root world and unlocked my SG4G to its full potential, I posted an ad up to sell my phone for $200 and got all kinds of offers. This was about two months ago.
Sad to see many people moving away from this phone. Although I do believe it is becoming outdated, I still think its a great phone nonetheless. I'm personally holding onto it because I will be spending a year abroad and have already unlocked it for international use.

Hey guys. It's sad for me to say, but I just sold my One X tonight. Someone offered me a price I couldn't refuse. I just bought a Galaxy Note 10.1 so I may also get a Samsung phone to match.
I will miss this community dearly! Like I said in the 'Introduce Yourself' thread, this has been the best experience I've had on XDA since I joined. I hope you guys get JB soon. The wait was tough. If someone wants access to the files of the theme I made a while back I'd be glad to hand it over.

P.S. I usually don't keep a specific phone for too long. I end up getting bored with it no matter how much development there is. It's just that there's so much different tech out there that I try to use as much of it as I can. Maybe it's my OCD, but I think it's just my love for technology lol.

I never thought I'd say this again but I'm actually enjoying the switch a bit. I still have my Note 10.1 to tinker with Android style and this iPhone isn't permanent I don't think.

But I prefer android because there's more potential.

No problem IPhones is a solid piece of hardware. I have the 4s, if it had a bigger screen I'd use it as a daily phone. But then again I get bored with a device after awhile so I'm thinking of trying win phone 8 for awhile.

Honestly? I just got my replacement One X about a week ago, still flawless. If someone offered me the iPhone 5 in beyond good condition (No cosmetic, good battery, etc.) I would take it. It's a solid piece of hardware.
