Don't know if it's still relevant, but I have the Wolfgang AT-AS 40D2, its successor, and was able to root it with Framaroot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2130276

try moboginie ,and then simply download super su.then update the binary.........
there other method to Root Your Smartphones other than framaroot and Sony Xperia C Root.exe ..!
So, why not use Eroot_V1.3.4_P6 ...?
I have tried using my xperia c to use Eroot to root xperia c ..,, fruitful and successful in Smartphones now I have superuser ..
if you want to try it .. but I can not be responsible if there is any damage ..
but I really have to try it once and I own a successful outcome of risk-taking and Smartphones I have no problem especially Xperia C2305

you do not really need .. I know you learned about development .. so, show us all what you've done .., I just let the people who do not know how to root .. on the already learned about it there's no need use this way .. out there still do not know and millions use the XC would like to know where the easiest and most effective way....

http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/help/qa-rooting-locked-bootloader-ota-method-t2999665 <- You should check this. This works for any device model (even D2403), just don't try it into the .15 firmware compilation number, 'cause the rooting method differs a little.
