[Q] Stuck on boot - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Screen is stuck on the red verizon screen on boot. I tried holding down the power button, like I could on my DNA, but it doesn't work. Any way I can force it to turn off, or do I have to wait until the battery eventually dies?

[Q] Battery Issue Soft Reboot

I had my phone charging tonight and it was at about 35% battery when all of a sudden it rebooted. Now, it's in a loop, vibrating every 1-2 seconds and when it's in the loop, the volume or power shortcuts don't work. If I take the battery out and back in, the Samsung logo flashes and then it goes into the loop. By inserting the battery and a USB connection at the same time, it'll go to to the battery charging screen for a moment before it goes into the loop, and if I hold the Volume up and down at the same time I put in the battery and plug in the phone, it'll go into download mode, but it only stays there for maybe five seconds before the screen flashes blue and goes into the vibrating loop again. Up until today it's been working perfectly. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated! I'm running SkyJelly with no previous issues. I think it's battery because if I plug in the phone without the battery it'll go into a loop until I plug the battery in, and then it'll go into the charging screen briefly until it goes back into its loop. Ideas..."

Nevermind. Tried the pin fix on the power button, worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip.

[Q] Galaxy Note GT-N7000 can't reboot after screen freeze running some app

My Galaxy note GT-N7000 is freeze when running some app (missed it!), the it turn off when I long pressed the power button.

I had done pull off the battery, waited a while and put it back and try. No luck.
I had tried boot it into recovery mode by pressing volume down + power button. No respond.
I tried to plug in the power cable. No repond (charging image not showing, only black screen)
Anyone please help!!!!

Recovery is Vol Up, power and home key at the same time until it boots into recovery. Try that first while it's plugged in. If not try Vol down, power and home key, this is download mode see if that shows anything.
If you're getting no response at all I'd suggest a new battery first of all or try someone else's, the batteries have a funny way of dying very suddenly.
Post back with updates and we'll go from there.

Hi there,
Thanks for correcting me on the recovery mode method.
I tried all the necessary method on my own, nothing is working.
Hence, I bought it to the Samsung service center for a check. They confirmed the motherboard was dead. And it cost me quite a lot to fixed it.
At the end, I decided to let my galaxy note rest in peace after serving me for 2 good years (even though I expect it to serve another year or 2)
Now I jumped to Google Nexus 4. Kinda love the experience of pure android and all the other benefits.

[Q] Is the phone or the battery dead?

before my phone completely died, it randomly shut off a couple of times. when I turned it on, the battery said it was completely low and of course I had to put it in the charger. Now whenever I try to turn on the phone unplugged, it can't get passed the samsung logo. it just goes off and on intermittently. In fact it stays that way whenever the battery is in the phone. it will not just stay off. when plugged in, the battery sign flashes on and off and will not show progress of the battery being charged.
If you put the battery in without touching the power button, does the phone turn on?

Well, your power button is broken, then

[Q] Maybe bricked? Idk? Help please

Hey everyone
Verizon SGS3
Earlier today, phone shut off randomly during use.
Phone won't power on without a battery pull.
Trying to boot normally: can see "samsung" for a split second, phone shuts off.
Trying to boot to recovery: get to screen where in the top left corner it says "recovery booting...", lasts for a split second, shuts off
Trying to boot so I can use ODIN: before I can even hit volume up to go into download mode, powers down
I was hoping I'd be able to get into recovery and then just do a factory reset, but I'm not given enough time before it powers down.
Is there any way for me to factory reset from pc?
Would this even work?
Any help is appreciated

You aren't bricked, it sounds like either a battery issue or a power button issue. Does it turn on completely when it's plugged in?

It does not turn on completely at all and hasn't for several hours now. The best I can do it get it to begin powering up, into the different modes, and then i get a black dead screen. Even if i try to power back up right after getting the black dead screen, nothing happens at all. I need to do a battery pull to attempt again.
Up until this day I've never had any battery or power button issues

I think it's your power button, if it were hard bricked it wouldn't show anything. Those symptoms sound like the power button is stuck in the on position when you're powering it up.
If you're under warranty send it into Samsung and they'll troubleshoot it.

Do you know if Samsung is going to give me a hard time because it's rooted?
Verizon will for sure. Why dont u find another s3 battery and check it first. If battery is bad it will not turn on regaurdless of whether its plugged in or not. Power goes through the battery.

Yes do that first, Verizon will care of you're rooted, but Samsung won't.
