Hey guys,
I want to show you my first app "Exquisite Drawer" which I have just released to Play Store.
You can get it right here:
Lite Version: Exquisite Drawer Lite
Pro Version: Exquisite Drawer Pro
You want to know which changes made it recently to the app?
Here you go. Changelog in Post #2
This app I wanna share with you is a replacement for your standard App Drawer.
Now you might think:
"What the heck? Nobody needs this since every phone has already an App Drawer"
Click to collapse
And you are right. But then. Go into your apps and look......
Does it look good? Really?
I don't think so. And this is the reason why I created Exquisite Drawer.
What is different with this app? Why would you want to download?
That's a good question. To answer this let me show you some screenshots:
From these Images you can get a lot of information what the app is able to do but I will list the main features here:
- Change Colors of Text and Background individually (so there is no dependency on other elements)
- Enable or Disable sertain UI Elements for your liking (such as Actionbar or Titlestrip)
- Change Textsizes
- Use system or inbuilt font
Also you have the ability to display two different images within Exquisite Drawer.
One on top of the Applist and the other below.
So every time you want to launch an app you will see your favourite image.
The best thing about this is that those images do not affect your workflow since they scroll out of view.
Another exciting Feature is the inbuilt Theme-Switcher. For now there are 6 different designs which can be applied by only one click. At the end of this Post you will see them all.
What else to mention?
The lite version is a stripped down version of the app.
But you get a bunch of features over there too:
- Theme Chooser
- Change background color of Titlestrip
- Change fontsize of Titlestrip
- Hide Applicationicons
- Hide Actionbar
- Enable/disable Headerimage and/or Footerimage
- Choose a custom picture
- Choose side of Navigationdrawer
What are the pro only features?
- Use a custom Font from your sd-card
- Change background and font color of Actionbar, Applist, Navigationdrawer
- Change Textsize of Applist and Navigationdrawer
- Disable various Itemdividers
When I say you can change the color you propably thing about a list of predefined Colors which you can choose from.
But this is not the truth.
Infact you can choose any color you can imagine.
This screenshot shows the Colorpicker:
The same for Fontsizechanger which can be choosen incrementally.
So this was a quite long post. And when you reach this point I wanna thank you. Now there are only some Images to come. At first you will see the whole bunch of settings which are available and after that you will see all of the available Designs.
I hope you like it.
Ocean Blue:
Red Fire:
Purple Rain:
Gaucous:
Soft:
Black 'n' White:
Here are the links again. Just for convenience:
Lite Version: Exquisite Drawer Lite
Pro Version: Exquisite Drawer Pro
Thank you so much for reading all of this. If you have suggestions, problems or other genereal feedback please feel free to comment to this post.
I will try to answer it as fast as possible.

Changelog
Version 1.5.7
- Two new Designs added "Xda Light" and "Xda Dark"
Older Changelog:
Version 1.5.6

Thank you very much

ok having to write this all again cause it failed previously and message disappeared
anyways i wasn't really expecting anything special when i came here but was curious to see what it was about. so i decided to take it for a quick test drive and i must say im pretty impressed. even considering that it was just a lite version an all lol
the theme options are pretty cool even on their own. (pro allows more color/customizing of course). i was digging the simplistic black n white look too! also like the long hold app option that allows you to go pro, launch app, show app in play store and uninstall app. nice job there!! although i was slightly curious why purple rain & black n white theme didn't have these options?
overall was working smooth, don't remember coming across any bugs which is very good!! couldn't test battery life cause only used for a short period but im pretty sure it wouldn't have affected it much!
well want to say, keep doing what your doing dev! thumbs up from me!! :good:

Great app, keep up on the designs.

Really promising I like to keep my device nice and minimal looking and this does the trick nicely. Cant use it as my default just yet as I rely on custom groups and categories to organise my millions of apps. But it looks like thats on your to do list so keep up the good work. I'll be sure to keep checking back!

What a fantastic app! Have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect, but I have to say it is awesome and I've already purchased the pro version. Well worth $1.30. I would've paid twice that. Very functional and visually impressive. Can't wait to see where the development goes in the future. Great, great job!

This is definitively on my To Do list. But I actually don't know when it will be available. The next thing I am working on is to improve the overall performance and loading process. When this is ready for primetime I will implement new features such as:
- custom Categories
- hiding Apps (with a special feature )
- Exporting and Importing Designs
- Iconpack support
and many other things.
Thank you for your suggestion.
Also to everybody:
If you feel that anything is missing just write me. Also when you think that some strings should be improved just say something and I will look into it.

Really great. Thanks

Is there any way to make this the default drawer from the home screen when you push the app drawer button? Would quite like to give it a try with the Google Now launcher.

My current experience with Sidebar as of now.
There are not as many little bugs, most are limitations in Android itself, but nothing that affect myself.
Those limitations being, the notification glitch, without having the notification android kills it.
Apps take longer to launch when current app is your default launcher.
The look is amazing, originally I was looking for a unity-esque side launcher, but this is so much more.
First, it looks cleaner than unity, by coping the aesthetic of windows 7.
Also it allows for task management, which I find conflicts with the Android's built in task manager and appears to duplicate app instances, but overall looks and functions pretty well.
You simply slide the icon off the bar to kill the app, or touch the icon to naturally open it.
A plus with the pro version, is that you can pin as many apps as you'd like. Plus there's the ability to pin widgets such as home, pause song, wifi and many more toggles. Currently shortcut to activities have been removed, but with the new, better caching system, I have a feeling they'll be added back
The scrolling of the sidebar could be more fluid; as in keep up with my finger better, but overall performance was fine and the app itself has a very small resource footprint.
This app has come a long way, and I can't wait for themes and easy icon rearrangement.
Good luck Mohammad.

BUMP, people need to see this app!

I'm not sure why this isn't getting more attention, but this is the best side launcher app yet! You need to add the ability to manually change the icons (unless that's already there in the pro version...) and incorporate a multitasking function, where it showing running apps with favorited apps, however the running apps are highlighted to show they're running, much like Unity for linux. Great app nonetheless!
EDIT: I found a significant bug on the free version. When you add the max allotted apps, then delete remove an app, it won't allow you to add anymore back, even if you remove all of them, it just says you need to upgrade.

They have a completely different UI and feature set. That's like asking what's the difference between Nova Launcher and iOS. Sure they both have the same task but they're surely different. Try them both (they're free) and you'll feel the difference.
The best one out there.. Period.
I've tried various quick-launch apps over the past few weeks. Stumbled onto this just today. This is by the the best one available.
Very minimal layout, & customizable. Will be buying the paid version for sure. Kudos. :good:
One suggestion - can we get customizable animation time. Currently it's a bit too slow and without the animation its just too dull

Re: [APP][2.1+] Sidebar
Would be great if apps could have this layout
Just purchased the Pro version, and so far very nice! If you're taking suggestions however, i'd like a way to disable the notification, as well as a way to move the icons around into whatever order you like (rather than having to delete and reinstall to your liking). It would also be nice to be able to position the icons where we want as well, say from the bottom up, rather than the top down. But great job overall!
thanks

Here is an old version of the app. Is this better than Sidebar as it is on the Market?
Major differences:
- Uses a tab
- Solid color
- Less Settings
- Sidebar tears at screen edge when docking by draggin the tab
- Some lag on the dragging on lower end phones
Try it out (SUPER OLD VERSION): https://www.dropbox.com/s/pltw4vui9e2gbpl/Sidebar.apk and tell me if it is better or worse than the released version.

No it's definitely worse. The solid color is terrible in my opinion. It isn't as smooth, and also the constant tab is dreadful. Believe me you're heading in the right direction, don't go backwards.

Great App
This would definitely take away quite a few icons off my home screen!
really nice app.love it. I will buy donate version
I think yellow icon on social app not too good. Need to change that. Holo icon is really nice.
I will not use it as I am not a social media fan, but congrats on the excellent design and idea!
awesome app idea. only suggestion i have to improve it would be for it to just pull up one text box to update the status of all at once like this other one i've seen called postus, yours is much sweeter though in the notification bar. if only it had its own text box to update and than updates all networks but job well done.
suggestion achieved would donate 5 dollars for as thats what i've been looking for for a long time.
Something like this to just take a quick note would be a fantastic & then option to send note to social etc
Just a thought

Very neat! Reminds me of qTweeter for the iPhone way back...
I like it, and it definitely feels like it has a lot of potential. what i would love to see is a dual posting process, to allow users to simultaneously post to multiple social networks. additionally, instead of a persistent notification, have an option for just an app.
Also, i love the design/look of the notification, i just don't like lots of persistent notifications.
Works really well. Got the donate version. Would be awesome to change the theme color as the yellow is pretty ugly imo. Also it would be nice if there was a setting to default the notification to be expanded
Hmm simple, intuitive, i like it.

And finally let's talk about this great request.
A lot of users have requested it and initially I've explayned that there wasn't that feature cause the nature of the app. notiShare is born to give the possibility to share through your own favorite client, and this is the only way to do this. I was not inclined to include this functionality, but now I'm thinking on a solution.
I'll try to explain:
To add a cross-post share, I need to implement a mini client for all Social Networks in my own app and so it won't be possible to share with your personal favorite client, but only through notiShare. Implementation of internal client of ALL Social Networks would need a lot of work and problem; whitout saying that Google Plus doesn't offer pubblic APIs and it's not be possible to post in G+ through a third-part client.
However, the hopes are not over; if I can find a way to do this in a simple and unproblematic, certainly I would not fail to add this functionality.
Next steps are:
multiple icons color;
possibility to share with an additional app of your choise.
Thanks for all your feedbacks. if you have any other suggestions I'm glad to accept them.

Thanks for the advice, but I think I won't add that feature for now.
I'll think about a fanciful solution on how to include it in notiShare
However if you need something to take note within the notification bar you can try "Notable" from PlayStore.

Do an live wallpaper like the Jelly Bean Easteregg, with floating colorful Jellybeans, no one ever achieved that.
Also, it works on Gingerbread 2.3, im using it on my Galaxy Y
I'm VERY picky when it comes to live wallpapers, I just installed this and all I can say is... WOW. It runs VERY smooth, looks great in full HD (HTC One) and doesn't cause any lag through home screens.
Well done, and I'll be keeping an eye out for a paid/donate version Thanks!
Can you add an option for reducing the hexagon size ???

Really nicely made lwp, it's very smooth. The only request would be hexagon and pulse colours, but it's great as it is.

I bet you'll be interested in Deep Blue Sea and Bordeaux themes coming in next release on monday :victory:
Color chooser feature is certainly on todo list but I need a bit of time to rethink and carry out in some very cool way. There will be color extractor feature as well to pull out palette from any user image or photo. So... keep in touch!

My tests indicates that battery consumption is really low. Of course you can check it by yourself. I would be grateful for any feedback about this

Well, as we know, there will be no Key Lime Pie release of Android so you can set Key Lime wallpaper at least
Here, you can use that.
I'll leave my screen here later, already left my 5 star review in Play Store
This is my screen. I'm using the Hot Chilli theme.

I Develop LWP and you would be surprise how little a drain you can get if your smart with your coding, and considering stripes looks to be rendered on the spot, it can be using close to 0.03% when active and nothing when it isn't visible.
Edit, Also I LOVE YOUR WALLPAPER!!!
PS: If you parent going to release a paid version, you should get rid of the free label on your icon, it can discourage people on Google Play, because they will assume its limited or has ads when it pops up in a search.

Hey, there's a few changes in the live wallpaper since my last post here. For example, it is possible to design your own color palettes and share them with your friends
Google Play download link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.everystripe.wallpaper.free
Anyone created a palette based on Android "L" yet? (http://www.androidguys.com/2014/06/25/get-look-android-l-wallpaper/)
It would look great with Anystripe. Though slight "fan" look and shading can't be done.
EDIT: Found it on Twitter @everystripe

Really loving this lwp, keep up the work.
I just want to request if you can increase or decrease the Stripes. Example there are only 5 stripes to choose from, please ad the feature to increase or decrease.
? cheers.

Hello ProNewb,
Do you mean the color palettes? You can choose from 1 to 5 colors in palette creator already. For now we don't plan to increase max number of colors but this didn't mean that we don't introduce this in the future. In the meanwhile we plan to release some cool new features in next 2-3 weeks. Keep in touch!
Radial stripes are coming soon:

Hi all and welcome to a new era, nowadays with Google's fantastic platform updates, an increasing amount of applications and launcher are being released. All offering different and unique features. But this launcher however stands out amongst most of them. Why do I say this? Give this launcher a try and you will most likely get your answer straight away. This launcher has a cutting edge interface, all inspired by the formerly known application "Google Search/Google Now" of course we have to credit Google for this experience and they deserve the applaud, because the app is simply amazing.

You can skip this part if you wish, unless you want to know how this launcher came about. So one night (about a month ago). I was tired and went to my room to sleep, all snug and warmed up in bed, this is usually the time when random ideas and concepts flow through my mind. One of these concepts was to design a Launcher that looked like Google's design scheme. I thought this would be a great way to learn about Android development and make my idea into reality. So I quickly noted this idea down, a week passed by and I stumbled upon the note and I wondered a bit. And after a deep thought about this, I hopped on my computer and whipped up some magic in 2 weeks. It's now been three weeks (This will differ in future, since I doubt I'll be updating this story). And I felt like releasing this new Launcher because I want opinions from you guys on how I can make this Launcher work and function. So I present to all, Active Launcher!

@mobihack I am planning to release it for ICS and above, though I don't know exactly when I will do this but it will be done in a few future releases.
Sorry that you cannot test it out, just hold on tight.
Ok man
Looking good so far,
but as you said some apps doesn't open, for example evolve sms for messaging.
And i have some strange really big icons in the app drawer.
Would you mind to open a google+ page for this launcher?

Thanks, and yeah some apps will not open, because the default messaging apps are set.
In future releases I will add a feature where the user can select which app to run.
And as for the app drawer, yeah some icons are random and big.
This is slightly difficult as I'm going to completely ditch that app drawer and implement a different one.
Here, I just created the Google+ page.

@Jamin_1 Thanks for trying Active Launcher. Hopefully this Launcher works out in the future. As for now it's still in Beta and there is currently allot of things to work on. As you stated it definitely isn't made for daily use. But this gives the users a taste of what's coming ahead .

You're right.
Thank you so much for your hard work and the early release :good: Your launcher attracted my interest and I will keep testing it.
At last something new and up to date with Google's great UI design. It's time to say goodbye to still great, but bit old Nova and Apex.
Hope to see this project evolve in to something mature and useful as these two.
Looks interesting! I'll definitely keep an eye on this!
I'll wait out until those app drawer bugs are fixed until I try this out myself
Looks good. for a long time i have been searching for some new kind of launcher and your project is promising
Thanks guys for the support, I will surely continue this project.
Hit me up with some features that you'd like to have in this Launcher.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Hey man, this project is very exciting. I really like the concept and appearance. Great implementation of translucent statusbar. So here's my feedback:
Like the idea of system apps in app drawer. Maybe, instead of removing it completely, make it optional
Always listening feature possible? I definitely tried "Ok, Google" to my own humorous disappointment, lol.
Make app drawer button and blue part under it auto hide and have ability to pull it up just like notification tray is pulled down.
Maybe instead of just cards for each app, there could be multiple "card screens" or homescreens that each house cards with information relevant to particular apps. For example, the Contacts app could have its own cardscreen with contact cards with options to call or text that person at the bottom of their card.
With that said, the following are more far-fetched ideas:
Make app cards launch app with just a swipe. If u could swipe immediately into certain apps, that'd be epic, dude.
Notifications, such as text messages, could come up directly in the launcher as cards ready to act upon.
Yea, so don't have as many far-fetched ideas as I thought.
Anyway, really like where this is going. Hope you continue to imaginate!!
@Justinchi thank you for your feedback! Many of your ideas had already been mentioned on the Google+ page and for the other ideas you have, they're really good. And as for the swipe feature, its possible
I will be debasing the application on a different layout as working with this single layout will mean, too much work.
