Cannot create new folder in Documents - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I tried to use ASTRO File Manager to create a folder in Documents. The folder does not show up in Documents but when I tried to recreate it again, Note PRO stated that it has already existed. However, I cannot see the folder listed in Documents. Is this some kind of KK bug? What is the best way to create a folder then? Thanks.

At top right corner

Still can't find it. On the top right corner, there is a symbol with 3 squares. When I clicked on it, only the following four options were available: Select, AddFTP, Scan for nearby devices, Display options.
On my Note 2, I can see a create folder option by pressing the left button of the home button. Since the PRO 12.2 has a different key right now, that option is no longer available. Is that key moved somewhere else?

Click on Device Storage, then Documents, then the circled icon.

PNR_Report

I keep getting a "PNR_Report" folder in my N5. I delete it and it comes back. Anyone have a clue what app is doing it? I've Googled and only come up with "Passenger Name Record"... no clue
+1, well, +2, because I'm having the same folder from a week or so in both my nexus 4 and 10.
Catched. It came from Dolphin Browser. It was updated recently and now it creates that folder.

So is it safe to remove this file I don't use dolphin browser.
Does anyone know if its safe to remove the pnr-reports file on phone I don't use dolphin browser and apparently that's where it came from. Any help would be great, thanks.
You can delete it, it won't hurt anything.
However, if you still have Dolphin Browser installed, it might pop back up again. I'm not quite sure what the deal is regarding the framework of the app and its connection to the folder. Usually "pnr_report" is empty, even when looking at hidden files, and deleting it doesn't affect the functionality of Dolphin at all. I use Dolphin all the time and I always delete that folder out of habit whenever I see it.
So the short answer to your question is yes, you can delete it. You won't hurt anything.

You can use drag and drop option in multi window to drag any locked text to the other window and paste it there

Try this xposed module
DisableFlagSecure
Disables FLAG_SECURE on all windows, enabling screenshots and screen capture in apps that normally wouldn't allow it.

Simplified settings menu on Verizon S8+

For those like myself who don't care for Verizon's "butchered" settings menu, press the 3 for menu in settings and select "view as simplified list".

Been doing this with every phone since lollipop. Just easier to find things in my opinion since Android's settings have looked that way since I can remember.
Samsung Cloud?
Is Samsung Cloud available or did Verizon remove that also, like they did with Note 7?

I actually really like settings the other way, and the unlocked rom and a fresh verizon rom install do not have the option. Any idea how I can put it back?
See not there
I too have no three dot button to change back to the normal settings. If anyone knows of a way to get it back I would love to hear it. For some stupid reason the unlocked firmware doesn't give you the option

This is what you have to enter to bring three dots back. As I can see it is carrier-dependent feature.

Google Files Default Sort

The Google Files default sort seems to be "alphabetical" . Is there anyway I can change the default to "newest".
I've looked into settings but there doesn't appear to be anything there.

Yes. But only works once on my phone, Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite. Newest then doesn't then stay selected as the ongoing default for the next time after the phone has been switched off.

Same here. Only works 1 time. Upon re entry, I have to re sort.
This is true for ANY phone I've had, my current phones, Pixel 4 and S21U.
Any updates on this? Everytime I want to find an image to post, I always have to go to the sort by tab. Very time consuming, especially with small image thumbnails making it easy to post the wrong image. If I wanted to post an image here (or anywhere) it will take me 3 or 4 clicks to find it!

Question Chrome download location

Is there a way to change sownload location?
When I download files it goes under /data/com.android/download folder instead of simply /download folder.
From Chrome settings there's no way to change it

Open up settings, in the search bar type "sites and downloads."
Click on it (it should flash) and scroll down until you find sites and downloads.
Click on that, you will see, "save downloaded files to."
You can't change it from the downloads folder though. All you can do is create subfolders within the downloads folder.

That's setting for Samsung Internet app. For Chrome all you can do is to prompt you where to save which you did already

Yeah, I tested it. It didn't change my download location.
The download location is an Android thing. Microsoft Edge has the same restrictions as Chrome. I can't change the download location.
Nor can I change it for Firefox.
