Hi,
I'm a noob about rooting phone and I have a few general questions about that.
I bought a Telus LG G2 (Canada), that I unlocked to use on Fido (Canada) network.
• Say I want to root the phone, what ROM should I use? Telus or Rogers?
• In the future, if there are updates, will I get them even if I unlocked the phone?
Thank You for you patience in helping me getting started with rooting.

Hello,
Is there a way to carrier unlock the Moto G XT1031 on 4.4.4 from BoostMobile? I bought it certified pre-owned and I want to use it on TracFone. I read a few posts on the Internet that say that say unlocking the phone won't work past 1/15/2015... is this still the case on pre-owned devices? Or just for new devices bought after that date?
I'm a huge noob at this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You can unlock the bootloader here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537119

Well you don't carrier unlock cdma phones you flash them to another carrier. As for moto g on any thing else but boost sorry it is a no go. Unless like the lg g2 it is possible to say take a rom from vzw and put it on the boost variant and make it a verizon. The lg g2 sprint can be carrier unlocked by flashing a tmobile rom that has been modded. Found that out here on xda and did it.
Hello I have the ATT lg g3 i have it unlocked and rooted, but i know it will not work because the network is not CDMA. So what my question is are you able to flash the device with a stock Verizon rom? If so will it then be able to use the CDMA networks or is the technology just non existent in the ATT LG. Also if anyone else has been able to make the lg g3 work for Verizon please let me know.
Hello everyone, I'm making this thread because Im having some trouble updating my phone to the latest version of Andriod.
I have an LG G3 D850 factory unlocked. This means it's an at&t phone, so I'd need an at&t sim to update it. The problem is, I dont live in the US, Im from southamerica, Uruguay specifically.
As I dont have the sim or anything, my phone is stuck in Android 4.4.2.
My question is, is there any way for me to update my phone? What happens if I download and install the D855 version for this phone (the international version) will it block my networks?

Good afternoon all. I am thinking of switching my phone from AT&T over to TMobile. When I do this, will I then be able to install custom roms on the phone? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello,
I am new to the rooting game, but have done so successfully a few times. My question is, I have both an AT&T V20 and G6 but am on Verizon. Is there a way to put a Verizon build on the device?
Thank you in advance.

No both have locked bootloaders and I dont think the att version has the hardware to even pick up verizon. Long time lg modder. So as said there is prob no root for either surley no twrp. So no flashing.
