Hello all,
i got some issues with my Nexus 5.
After some days of uptime i do sometimes face the issue that my screen is flickering.
I do not see any direct reason why this could happen.
I cannot fix the issue by turning off display and on again.
Even if i do what e.g. 10 Minutes the problem remains.
If i reboot the device everything is normal again for ~ days.
I searched for issues but did not found anything that reads like my issue.
Following a short video of the issue.
So my question is quite simply:
Do you guys think this is a hardware issue and i should try to replace the phone?
I am currently running CM11 Nightlies with stock CM Kernel.
No custom changes like overclocking or so have been done.
Hi,
It happens since the beginning? With the last CM nightly or other nightlies?
Maybe in first try to return to stock and see if the problem persists: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701.
Or try the CM M6 (or another rom)?
EDIT: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/nexus/o_Hj782Y_aY.

I have the same problem, i'm using elix-r rom too with elementalx 0.38 and sometimes it happens this, i don't know if it is the kernel because since i installed that problem didn't showed up
can you use a SlimPort cable or cromecast to mirror the screen to a TV and see if the flicker still happens?
So you'll know if the problem is in GPU or screen?!

[GALAXY TAB 2.0 7"P3110][SCREEN PROBLEM] my device is afflicted by some strange lines
Hi there! I have a problem with the screen of my tab..
If the background is dark, I can see some refreshing lines (flickering?).
For example I can see them on this page:

I'm using "[ROM][GT-P31XX][JB][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 official", the last one but I have this problem since I moved to this rom.
I already had try to change the kernel but nothing changes . I also tried to force gpu rendering cause I discovered that maybe I don't have this problem while playing but it doesn't work..
I did a short video of that:
http://dfiles.eu/files/h9t0srbr1
https://mega.co.nz/#!lggnyZKQ!TGH1hVkkQ1TO3tBItXVpg1zgogOsRboqodtVDfSBxOQ this is a flash in an .mp4
Edit: I opened the screen I posted in this post and I discovered that images with the same color aren't afflicted.. Ideas?
Ps. Yes I know, my English is bad
Uh, it isn't a problem... Cyanogen's settings backgroud have this effect!

Oh, no.. I'm talking about dynamic "lines", not static.. Please have a look at the video.. I'll re upload it with mega
I saw the video.
However, you do realise that the issue is specific to your LCD screen, so one would have to see your actual device to determine if there's a problem. So the video you uploaded would play fine on any other screen.
Regarding flickering, I have heard about this issue on this forums several times already although in my local forums there are no such complaints. I did suggest it could be a batch problem in certain markets that requires servicing.

That's not a problem.you can unroot it.
Use triangle away first un remove flash count and then flash stock

Which will cause the counter to increase again -_-.
Best way to unroot is to install stock rom. root it using cf-auto-root or ketuts root but the samsung recovery version. then triangle away. then click unroot in supersu.
Thank you guys! I only hope that these lines are in stock too or it will be a waste of time

have the same issue a bit lower on my screen(broken digitizer) and it can be fixed only with a new display
Screen Tile Not respondig
Having the same issue here, as described above , but it only happened like 2 weeks ago tops , like when i updated to latest Kitkat (slimKat stable 3 back then )...
Is this definitely a hardware issue or some broken code?
Been reinstalling some kitkat here, but the problem persists,...
I thought the problem was the firmware because of some post i spotted pointing at slimkat or something...
Did any of you get this problem AFTER installing slimkat or even latest TWRP (2.7.0.0) ? (i updated both kind of the same time)
I had that problem on 4.1/2/3 roms. Disappeared on kitkat, fyi.

I advice you to flash fastboot images of latest CMOS12 and the procedure for the same can be found [URL=" http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/general/guides-bacon-timmaaas-how-to-guides-t2839471" ]here[/URL]
This will probably resolve all the existing issues on your bacon

I have the same problem with my wife's oneplus.
It has 44s installed. Suddenly, the downright side of the screen became unresponsive, but not all the time. With the trebuchet or the app drawer it works ok and I can tap on the icons at the desktop in that location, but if I try to install an app I can't, because I can't tap on the "next" and "install" button. And I can't write a whatsapp because I have no keyboard (I tap on the box where I want to write, but it is unresponsive and the keyboard does not appear).
I've clean flashed the last cm12.1 via fastboot, but the same.
Does someone have any idea, please?
Try this program from the play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rn.yamtt
There is a function of drawing
Try it and make a screen shot. Get a ticket from one plus support.

Was waiting for a few days of use before replying. This made quite a difference, but there were a couple times where a restart was needed - I don't know if it was from the same issue though. It's better now, anyway... no longer restarting 2-3 times a day.

Yeah, a simple restart seem to do the trick for a day for me. Still have to restart once a day or every second day.

Hiya peeps. Id just like to ask you experts with a little help.
For the past week my phone suddenly started locking up and freezing and rebooting itself and ive had its for like 2 years. ok its always suffered from a little lag when like typing but i got used to it. I recently wiped its cache but nothing has changed. Its always had issues with the battery with random shut offs at from anything from 30% to even 50+% ive replaced the battery before and i guess its time to replace again.
Main question is my phone just literally just restarted itself now and has come to this screen which i will upload a photo.
I cant remember installing a custom rom since buying it. i did buy it 2nd hand though.
But what does this mean in the photo?.
last night i downloaded marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware because i wanted to see if re firmwaring my phone might later this evening will help in the mean time while i will buy a new battery.
.its been stuck on this screen for like 20 mins already and im scared to turn my phone off

Ok after like 40 mins i did take the risk of taking out the battery as i'd assume my phone wouldn't be doing anything in its state. It rebooted again but still suffering from the issues i mentioned previously.
Im guessing this wouldnt be the last time this will happen and probably will see this screen again in future.
