Hi
I know how to block them but in Android 4.4 it accepts only one option as default messaging app so I can't use the device's primary app when I get a message.
I use aFirewall.
Any idea ?

are you rooted? if so there is and option in xposed installer called "call blocker" that uses your system ui to block calls and save your battery.

Features
Block outgoing calls is a handy app to stop unwanted calls by your children or any other person
- Two operation mode: block list vs accept list
- Privacy protection: custom toast message, password protected
- Handy widgets to toggle.
- Very small app: 100kb
Use case 1 - Give your phone to your toddler and he makes phone calls randomly.
Use case 2 - Parental control: allow your child to call people in a pre-selected list. Lock down app with password.
Use case 3 - Give your phone to some one and don't want they make phone calls, quick toggle by widget is the best option

The Free will be expired in next two months.
Can you support allow list only to number with specific label in contact list? For example I have cheap calls to some numbers which I mark them
is there any way of blocking all the others?
Also will it support google groups? for example block calls to specific contact group?
And a last question... Does it only support blocking from the default dialer through mobile network or from every dialer that uses mobile network?
(I suppose it doesn't block calls made from sip....)
Hello!
[solved]
I have downloaded the XDA version and try to install it with CM13 on my device GT-I9100.
However, this fails with the following error:
"App was not installed."
How can I analyse the cause of this installation failure?
Regards
Thomas
PRO version is not identified w/o Google Play
Hello!
I have purchased the PRO version of your app "Outgoing Call Block".
Now I have setup a device w/o Google Market and restored the app with Titanium Backup.
However, I cannot use the backup because it is not working and asks me to install the PRO version.
Can you please provide an apk package that allows me to install the PRO version w/o Google Play?
Thanks
Thomas
Greetings,
I have this app called "Messaging 7" (from app store) which if you are aware, is really an awesome windows messaging app. I like its simplicity and have used it before kitkat update.
The problem is, im currently running kitkat in my HTC device and it's annoying that I cannot set it as default sms app. Therefore, everytime I receive a new text message, it will not mark as read until I open it on the device's default sms app. Kinda annoying, I can disable the notification from other sms app, but again, I need to figure out how to set the Messaging 7 app as default.
It is observed that the developer of the said sms app no longer works in it. So I'm thinking that there maybe a work around or solution with this since the app was created before kitkat update. Some other updated SMS apps i have tried to install appears on the selection for default app (from settings) and so I guess there's just need somthing to modify in it?
Any help will be very much appreciated. I really want this messaging app. :good::highfive:

put application in system/app with name mms.apk, and first backup original sms aplication (mms.apk)
I would like to view the blocked sms, Is there any method to restore it back to messaging inbox? Or it was straight away deleted upon receiving the message from blocked phone number?
Unblock them and you should be able to see them. Depends on your SMS blocking method as well.

I am using cm11 built in function. I unblocked it already. However, the blocked messages were not restored by cm11

Hmm... if you use a texting app such as ChompSMS (or any others) that have the blacklisting feature. i know on chompSMS when you add someone to the blacklist, and when you remove them... the text message will reappear as well as the messages they've sent to you before blocking. It could possibly be a limitation of the blacklist feature built into CM?

I think so, I looked around and found some people suffered the same problem. However, no one answered them. I hope CM team should implement this feature. "View blocked Messages" :good:
Guys please let me know if you are facing the same issue in the stock messaging app for emui 5. It's very glitchy to blacklist info messages. Sometimes it works sometimes not. You can't even check from harassment filter to add info messages sender directly.
I guess update is required by Huawei ..
btw, can anyone suggest an alternate sms app which has filter options to turn off notifications and also has mark all as read option.

Ok I tried textra.. I was happy then suddenly my sms stopped working in ultra power saving mode.. Where it default the sms to stock messaging app again.. Again I had to default to textra..
you can use truecaller.
stock messaging app dont have this feature for info message received from AB-XYZ address. if it contains anything as alphanumeric or even AB-12345 then it will work.
How about GoSMS?

Truecaller has problems ... Full of ads .. pro version is costly ..and it identifies spam messages itself.. like sms from ola cabs automatically goes to spam box with silent notification..
I uninstalled the stock sms app (using adb without root) but then the ultra power mode again creating problem .. it is making truecaller as default sms app ..don't know why ..truecaller is imp service in India to search unknown number ..but I don't want to use this as sms app .. this is frustrating ..such a simple functionality messed by emui .. and no call to customer care helped ..

Only alphanumeric number can be blocked as of now. No option to block all alphabetical address on stock

Well other apps can do .. google's stock , textra, truecaller's ..
But when you will use ultra power it again set the stock as default..this is irritating even more ..
I am wondering if there is a way to block SMS by keyword using stock MIUI 12 and Android Messages app? Thank you ?
