Our situation with custom ROMs - Samsung Galaxy Core

Hi!
I would like to summarize our situation with custom ROMs, which aren't based on stock. We haven't got any news from ankur850 and we don't know to somebody builds any ROM. What do you think about it?

I really really hope for a Cyanogenmod ROM, I would even be willing to support it fully by donating or whatever.

maybe someone could ask arnav gosain to build one for us lol

I won't ever buy Samsung products.
They just produce in quantity and forget to sustain quality for their customers.
Next time it will be SONY

which rom is better for core duos
i brought my new samsung galaxy core......
going to try a custom rom. wanna know which rom ism better. monster rom or samykat 4.4.2
or should i keep use stock rom

We have no custom ROM, only stock-based themed ROMs so just use whichever you find "most attractive" looking
[off-top]
I think, for starter, you should use even more emotes to emphasise your post.

Difference between original rom and custom rom

I am new to android...i had updated my galaxy fit with samsung kies with gingerbread 2.3.6. now i want to know that what is difference between original rom (which i had updated from kies) and custom rom (example: razodroid).
is there any difference between performance, battery back, etc.
pls let me know.
theres a lot of difference between them
custom roms have many extra features not available in original roms like battery backup, themes etc
u can increase peformance by overclocking
To actually experience the difference, I suggest you to try it yourself...
Believe me, you won't regret moving away from stock roms...
Sent from my GT-S5670
First difference is "Spelling" !
And then performance and a lot of tweaks which stock dont have
Stock rom is really stable than custom ones but with custom rom you get overclocking, performance, lockscreen gesture.
The real diff is stock.rom has no bugs as far as i know.

I'm currently using Fit-Sense, it's good but it's based on cynogen mod which has some bugs. Anyway i've tried Sabotage, it's good and fast. And i looking forward to try the Chocobread (heard it's quite). I personally like Fit-Sense better than Sabotage and others i've tried but i think you should try custom ROMs on your own. Don't take other's point of view, since not every one has same opinion. Anyway, tells us if you need help flashing a custom rom.

Already update ICS? Comment here

I'm in the same boat as you. My wife rooted her T869, and installed clockworkmod and wanted the QuickPanel mod, CRT tv animation, and custom boot animation, that she has on her T989, and when she found out that she couldn't because her rom was odexed, she flashed CM10, and while it did have some of the mods she wanted, it lacked the things she liked about the stock ROM such as the mini apps tray, the music player, and the task manager in the system settings.
She has also noticed that the font is way too small for her status bar, but overall, she misses the look and feel from the stock ICS rom. She just wants something that is exactly like the Darkside Evolution ICS 4.0.4 ROM that she has on her T989. It is based on the stock ICS ROM, but has the tweaks she wants and she has the customization options as well.
I have searched and asked if there was a deodexed/zip aligned rom based on the most recent UVLG7 update for the t869, but despite a few views, no one seems to have an answer. We have been looking into how we can try to deodex it ourselves, and our jobs takes up most of our personal time and so we've no time to learn, but we seemed to have hit a wall, and I am hesitant to ask because I don't want to be judged, warned or banned for asking what others might consider a "noob" question or ridiculed for not having the same level of experience as everyone else around here.
So, in the meantime, I just quietly wait and hope that more options will present themselves.
Actually i can learn how to deodex my tab...bcoz i done deodex my previous device...but, just deodex...i dont know how to tweaks, how to make a custom rom, how to make a custom kernel, how to make a themes(but i know how to change Jpeg file on system.ui and framework-res)...ohh god...i hope we will get dev on our section...

we got devs on our forum. but the support from samsung (the drivers especially) are very bad, they aren't released on the web. so devs find difficulty to make custom kernels.
some devs also tried porting AOKP to gtab+, just stay patient guys

That's just the minimum that are required by them to be released I think, it's not everything. ATM our CM10 relies on some binary blobs for things such as the kernel from the S3 simply because there's no source available to build yourself and there's not enough documentation to write one yourself either.

Best RoM is always of Cyanogenmod but the problem is it is still not available in stable version. Once it is made it is always best for any device. ParanoidAndroid is also good al like CM.
The best way to find out is to try them all. It all depends on what you think is important. The poster above me is an idiot. Cyanogenmod is a great option for but not even close to always being the best. I know it sucks to have to keep reflashing sometimes, but the best way to find out which features are important and which rom is best for you and your device is to try them out.

What version are you looking at flashing. For the P511X there are only two roms at the moment that are 4.2.1...CM 10.1 and Baked.
I just installed Baked and it is very smooth so far.

I'm running beanstown build 20 on my Note 2 and i love it!
I wanted stock android with some of the features that touchwiz offer. Very well put together ROM.
thanks for all answer ,im using stock rom right now  please give thanks to my post please :victory:
Jellybam
If you have one of it's many supported devices, I highly reccomend Jellybam. Jellybam has many features from many ROMs, and is not disimiliar to PAC-Rom, but I find many more options to customize, like custom notification background, and even custom halo color etc.
Overall, for my P3110, the ROM is quite fast, even without over clock, and the Deva update it quite frequently, plus these updates are stable and most of the time quite major and useful

Just recently picked up the Carbon rom and loving it! I use them for the customization and the fact that they boost performance and battery life
The phone I own is a first gen LG Optimus V. The ROM I use now is MiRaGe CM7.2 ROM. The reasons I rooted and flashed was to get better performance, over clocking, USB Tethering, removel of all bloat ware and useless apps, and to be able to make Nandroid backups of my installed ROM, apps, and settings. Before I did all this, I ran stock Froyo 2.2.1 and was plagued with all sorts of problems the LG Optimus phones were known for. And I was 100% o.k. with voiding my warranty too.:good::laugh:
my device is alcatel currently using experia by shinjarey, long battery life and smooth.
I use original rom

My old HTC Desire used Cyanogen Mod, my current HTC One X and S3 are using Stock Roms still.
My tablet at the moment using Ubuntu Touch, might go for another rom as the Ubuntu Touch is missing some key features I want in the tablet right now as it is a Dev release. Will hopefully go back to Ubuntu Touch in a later release when those features are there.

I wouldn't post this in any forum. You have to decide what's best by reading up on roms and see what features you like. A moderator will close this as they do not like people asking which rom is better. For the future I wouldn't post this again

As noted by others, we generally close these threads. Why? Because there is no best; every ROM is different, and we ask that users take the time to learn and read about what they are doing, so they know what to expect (and what problems may arise). OP, do yourself a favor.. look through some of the more popular threads, and see what feedback the users are giving; look for bugs that may effect you or your favorite apps, and go from there.
