As long as this doesn't turn into a my ROM is better than your ROM or a playground for people trying to get 10 posts.....it can stay open.

I'm running beanstown build 20 on my Note 2 and i love it!
I wanted stock android with some of the features that touchwiz offer. Very well put together ROM.

thanks for all answer ,im using stock rom right now  please give thanks to my post please :victory:

Jellybam
If you have one of it's many supported devices, I highly reccomend Jellybam. Jellybam has many features from many ROMs, and is not disimiliar to PAC-Rom, but I find many more options to customize, like custom notification background, and even custom halo color etc.
Overall, for my P3110, the ROM is quite fast, even without over clock, and the Deva update it quite frequently, plus these updates are stable and most of the time quite major and useful

Just recently picked up the Carbon rom and loving it! I use them for the customization and the fact that they boost performance and battery life

The phone I own is a first gen LG Optimus V. The ROM I use now is MiRaGe CM7.2 ROM. The reasons I rooted and flashed was to get better performance, over clocking, USB Tethering, removel of all bloat ware and useless apps, and to be able to make Nandroid backups of my installed ROM, apps, and settings. Before I did all this, I ran stock Froyo 2.2.1 and was plagued with all sorts of problems the LG Optimus phones were known for. And I was 100% o.k. with voiding my warranty too.:good::laugh:

my device is alcatel currently using experia by shinjarey, long battery life and smooth.

I use original rom

My old HTC Desire used Cyanogen Mod, my current HTC One X and S3 are using Stock Roms still.
My tablet at the moment using Ubuntu Touch, might go for another rom as the Ubuntu Touch is missing some key features I want in the tablet right now as it is a Dev release. Will hopefully go back to Ubuntu Touch in a later release when those features are there.

Thanks alot and have a nice day!

I am running CM9 on my tablet right now and I really like it. I would definitely recommend trying it out.
Well that depends on what you are looking for in your rom my friend.I have tried every rom for this device and right now am on cm10 without any problems at all.If you want a more customizable rom go with either cm9/10 or any of the aokp roms.but if you want the feel to remain stock there is an excellent option with the metallice rom.I still think it was the fastest and smoothest so far because it had a great kernel with an oc to 1.38 my tab was so fast.but I just need my cm.lol

I'm in the same boat as you. My wife rooted her T869, and installed clockworkmod and wanted the QuickPanel mod, CRT tv animation, and custom boot animation, that she has on her T989, and when she found out that she couldn't because her rom was odexed, she flashed CM10, and while it did have some of the mods she wanted, it lacked the things she liked about the stock ROM such as the mini apps tray, the music player, and the task manager in the system settings.
She has also noticed that the font is way too small for her status bar, but overall, she misses the look and feel from the stock ICS rom. She just wants something that is exactly like the Darkside Evolution ICS 4.0.4 ROM that she has on her T989. It is based on the stock ICS ROM, but has the tweaks she wants and she has the customization options as well.
I have searched and asked if there was a deodexed/zip aligned rom based on the most recent UVLG7 update for the t869, but despite a few views, no one seems to have an answer. We have been looking into how we can try to deodex it ourselves, and our jobs takes up most of our personal time and so we've no time to learn, but we seemed to have hit a wall, and I am hesitant to ask because I don't want to be judged, warned or banned for asking what others might consider a "noob" question or ridiculed for not having the same level of experience as everyone else around here.
So, in the meantime, I just quietly wait and hope that more options will present themselves.
Actually i can learn how to deodex my tab...bcoz i done deodex my previous device...but, just deodex...i dont know how to tweaks, how to make a custom rom, how to make a custom kernel, how to make a themes(but i know how to change Jpeg file on system.ui and framework-res)...ohh god...i hope we will get dev on our section...

we got devs on our forum. but the support from samsung (the drivers especially) are very bad, they aren't released on the web. so devs find difficulty to make custom kernels.
some devs also tried porting AOKP to gtab+, just stay patient guys

That's just the minimum that are required by them to be released I think, it's not everything. ATM our CM10 relies on some binary blobs for things such as the kernel from the S3 simply because there's no source available to build yourself and there's not enough documentation to write one yourself either.

[Q] Most rocksolid ROM for non techie use.

I love my TF101 and I have always had the cutting edge ROMs on it and just accepted any bugs that it may have knowing I can flash a different one later.
Due to my dad going out of town for work and me not needing my TF, I said he could take it to use to browse the web.. He doesnt need it for anything other then that. He has a GNex so knows the basics of how to run ICS/JB. but he is not about to go root anything..
I want to know what is the best and most rock solid ROM to put on my TF for him.. Like once I hand it off to him, everything should work 100%.. No SOD, RR, or any other issues like the dock not charging, etc.. I need to be able to hand it off to him with a Rock solid Daily Driver ROM that just works.. I dont need any crazy customization or anything fancy..
I personally had ran CM10 and AOKP on it and loved both of them, but they both had bugs that wouldnt fly for him..
Would I be better off going back to stock? Is AOSP rock solid? any other ROMs out there that have 0 issues that a nontechie could use?
I recommended you to flash back its stock firmware. As you see, your dad using a stock rom on Gnex. It will lot more easy for your dad to use a stock firmware.

Makes sense.. Just crushes me to take it from JB back to ICS, even though he wont know a difference, it makes a difference to me.. I was hoping someone had a rocksolid rom to avoid me flashing back to stock, but I will probably end up doing just that.
Go rooted stock ICS with G, s 22.6 kernel. Little OC'd to 1200.
I put both the oldies on it and no drama.. Been 5 months..
I just did a trip back home as OS
And checked it.. All good..

Usage isn't the problem..It's bugs in a Rom that he can't deal with. I will flash back to stock and rock a different kernal. Thanks for the help guys.

I recommend Revolver 4 Rom by Gnufabio, it's rock solid and with Guevor kernel v23 it really flies
Jelly Bean: Team EOS Jelly Bean #74 (With K.A.T kernel)
Has all the good stuff like trackpad cursor, launcher buttons work(and notify when they have been used), very smooth
ICS: Revolution or Revolver
Just as solid as the stock firmware, just faster.
CyanogenMod 9 Stable is what I use and found it to be stable as the developer says I understand the desire to test out the latest and greatest but not to actually use it as your main operating system since it's still in the testing phase and has bugs such as crashes, locks ups, random shutdowns/reboots etc personally I would prefer to just temporarily test out the latest and greatest then go back to what's stable.

[Q] Custom Rom recommendation

hi!
for the last few month i was on jelly bam rom which is banned here...
the rom is very nice but it seems like the htc one s will not be supported anymore at the moment.... actual version is 8.1 and the one s stucks at 7.7
the devs are not answering any questions about bringing an update again or not what is really annoying.
i´ve actually installed miui v5 which is running really smooth on my phone but i think i´m more the pure android user ....
in the past i´ve tried pacman rom but had some crashes - that´s why i changed to jelly bam.
so do u have any recommendations for me?
thx in advance !

Tried a lot of AOSP Roms in the past (BB, liquid,...) and was on Venom for a couple of weeks. Venom is pretty nice, but I wanted a sense less Rom and 4.2.2. So actually I am on Carbon Rom with the old kernel and its running amazing! Will wait for kernel issues with 3.4 kernel getting fixed and then do an update. I really recommend this Rom

important is that the rom will get support for the next few months!

I really love Codename_Lungo. It's simple, fast, and pure. You can choose what apps it comes with. It comes with Contacts, Phone, Messaging, ROM stats, Play Store, Calendar, Google Settings, and Google settings.
Apex is the launcher it's fast and stable and so far is one of my favorites. I've tried so many different ROMs but my top are BB8, Illusions, and Codename_Lungo.

ROM comparison threads are not allowed. Try all the ROMs and choose the one you like best, not what others like. Thread closed.

[Q] Alternative CustomROM

Last month i braved upgrading my Galaxy Tab 2 to the custom ROM by CyanogenMod (11).
This gave me what I required with regards to having multiple profiles on Tablet for me and kids. However what i did not realise is that i would lose various bits of functionality.
ie The camera is not as good, the video camera is not as good and can no longer connect device to Samsung TV.
So what I am wondering is "Is there a Custom ROM" that delivers the missing functionality (believe they all need Touchwiz which is not built into CyanogenMod.
is there a custom ROM based on Android 4.3 (Jellybean) which also has Touchwiz? ie it will give me multiple profiles and the Samsung camera/video recorder?
Thanks in advance
Steve
If no one can help, maybe just make a nandroid of your current ROM and try out some others.
Sent from my GT-P5110 using xda premium
I believe sungsonic should work for you. Stock modded rom. I lost my cable so I cant check but its what I was dualbooting with cm11.
Thats the other option, just dualboot. One rom for you, one for the kids.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
This is the one reason why the dual boot solution was made.
Or you could just rollback to CM10.1. I was having stability issues so I did that a few months ago. It's light years more stable than CM11.
