[MOD][5/7] - Advanced Power Menu - 1.55.605.2 Base - Odex / De-Odex - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Here is the Advanced Power Menu (APM) that gives additional reboot options as shown below.

Odex is for the stock ROM or CleanROM.
De-Odex is for the de-odex base'd ROMS. However, if you are running a de-odex based ROM it may be a custom ROM, and it may already have this! I do not recommend flashing this over any custom ROM without verifying it will work with your favorite ROM dev.
My collection of 1.55.605.2 Based Stock ROMS are HERE! These mods work on both the odex and de-odex versions!
Thanks to @AngioNicholai for originally porting this to the old base. I just ported it to the new base.
Notes
I dont recommend this on ART mode!!!
This does not remove kid mode! You just need to delete the APK that is called "kid mode" for it to remove from the menu. I did not script it in as the intent of this mod was to add the reboot options :highfive:

Nice, I can remove some xposed modules now. If only it had screenshot option though, then it would be PERFECT.

I hear ya!
You can do a screenshot by holding Power and Home Key.
But I may look into adding screenshot at a later time!

Oh I'm aware of the various ways. It's just that I have a slim fit case on so it's hard to press both power and volume the same time. Also I've disabled soft keys and solely use lmt to free up screen space (always hated on screen buttons) so it's pretty awkward tryna swipe and hold down power lol.
The advanced power menus on other roms I've used usually have that screenshot built in. I've found xposed modules that do the trick but I like the look of this one.

Do I need to do something to activate this? I have installed the zip but I'm still not seeing a different power menu.

Did you press restart after holding power? Thats where the extra options are. You wont see anything different until you do that.

I was trying to mod dotview apk to replace HTC voice assist with Google Now and maybe you can help me.
I decompiled the apk and stuck in logcats so I can follow the execution path but I cannot seem to get it to run.
First time I forgot to sign it, so that crashed.
But even once I signed it and pushed it to priv-app I couldn't boot my phone. It may be because I'm in ART... Idk.
I guess I'm a bit lost... Lol. Maybe you can help me...
How does odex/deodex affect apk modding?
Does art affect apk modding?
Do I need HTCs certificates or is the default test cert OK?
What would be the rough outline to mod an apk?
(I'm comfortable modding the smali, I just don't know how to put the apk back properly)
Thank you so much.

Finally got it after slaving over it past couple of hours... completely built from T-Mo's version... forgot what a pain smali hacking was
Think I'm going to add ringtone & maybe another volume slider too... should be pretty easy
Also, reboot doesn't seem to be working for me... anyone else confirm/deny?

I could post up a guide on how to just enable settings that came with the stock SystemUI, but the ones that weren't there with this build (Vibration & Silent for instance) require some java/smali knowledge.
Anyways, I was going to wait to release this but I'll attach the one I had in the SS.

A simple way would be to use a file manager that will let you access root files (such as ES Explorere) and look in the folder /system/app - if you see any files that say .odex and .apk then you are still odexed. If you only see files that say .apk then you are deodexed.

That would be cool, thanks! It seems that with the tab setup some of my notifications no longer display (i.e. K9 / Kaiten mail, etc) Also somehow some scren resolutions seem different now with a few launcher menus (folders) running off the screen now.
Stock N7 running 4.2.2, rooted.
[ EDIT ] Whatever the issue was with notifications went away once I switched to Apex launcher (which I was going to do anyway). Not quite sure what the issue was before the switch..

Thanks! This was overriding my dashclock stuff for me too. How does the Samsung widgets actually work? Tapping or sliding on them do nothing, so they're kind of useless in that sense.

May I suggest pinging rovo89 in his Xposed framework thread? He might have a workaround for this.
I doubt he has an I9505, but he might know of ways to work around SELinux's Enforcing policy.
Disable first time on boot?
Hi MohammadAG,
First of all thank you for this and other great XPosed mods.
This and you're other "Multiple Widgets on Secure Lockscreen" mods are what i've been searching for months (after having waited Samsung to release 4.3 SGS3 update for ages )
I have one request though, I've seen that this mod makes the widget obviously fullscreen also on boot, this is resulting in an empty screen first (no widgets, because those have not been loaded yet), I would like to know if it would be possible to avoid this, thus enabling the mod after the device has fully booted up.
Let me know, thanks again for your awesome work!

Great mod, though!
I just got a Nexus 7 and tried finding a deodexed 4.3 ROM, but I couldn't find one. Do I need to deodex it myself or is there a ROM I can download? Thank you.

ummm...slight problem when I try to revert back. It won't put things back exactly. For instance, I'm on Advanced Rom and instead of the tablet restoring back to battery mod the rom comes with, it gives me a stock battery. Also, it doesn't give me the Advanced Power Menu that the rom came with. Not a biggie, just testing it out and I'd thought I'd let you know...

Could you please upload screenshots in portrait mode...I am planning to have my unit deodexed just to get this but I'm using my device mostly on portrait mode so If I like what I see, I'll go ahead and run this one.
