Hi,
I've installed an ATT 4.0.4 firmware from sbf.android.org in a China Cellphone. It's work, but I'm not able to install any other ROM as CyanogenMod, 4.1.2 official leak, etc...
I've tried flash some custom roms and sbf rom in RSD Lite, but for both return the message: "Failed flashing process 6/21 flash "cdt.bin" phone returned fail ...".
I looked for for CDT.BIN and I don't conclude WTF that file is , or how to fix that.
Someone knows somethings about it?

You did a mistake flashing AT&T FXZ to non-AT&T phone. It has increased your cdt number, which can't be lowered now. Hence, you are stuck with AT&T ICS ROM. Though, you can root your phone, install BootMenu Manager from Play Store and then install CyanogenMod or any KEXEC based ROMs.
I flashed ATT firmware to my ME865, it worked fine for me. The official ROM for my ME kept failing with RSDlite.

Hi,
I tried several times to downgrade my firmware Gingerbread to stock Froyo rom but the process end up with a black screen. What is the exact procedure to Downgrade?
My current firmware version is Gingerbread S5570XXKPJ and want to go back to stock firmware.. can anyone recommend me a froyo stock firmware. I tried a one pac installation firmware name S5570DDKC1 and did not workout.
Help me plz
Ive seen with several phones you're unable to downgrade from certain roms and are advised to keep your backups before you go to GB because the only way to go back from a GB rom to a froyo rom is to restore your backup.

try like this: download S5570XXKB1, flash it in Odin...if it doesn't work you can try to use ClockWorkMod to format /system and then it should work...
Thanks a million for the reply guyz... i did figured out by my self.. Actually downgrade does not support flashing one package installer. It requires multiple files flash like, Modem,CSC, Code and all those flash components.
am now using froyo successfully
how did u do it I have the same issue

Hi am having a problem after going back to telstra stock after being on rohans JB build 3. It was really bad at connecting on LTE so I wanted to go back to stock where I have less problems. So now the 4.0.4 OTA update is available which fixes the one of the main reasons I found a ROM, that stupid settings bar.
However when I reboot to install the OTA it just boots into TWRP (v 2.2.2). I cant manually apply update from within recovery. It just gives an error. If I reboot from recovery nothing is applied.
Android v 4.0.3, software version 1.89.841.9
Do I have to get rid off TWRP or find a RUU and and apply that image? Was there some boot locking thing I need to do through abd to get the OTA to work?

Pretty sure you have to relock your bootloader and run an RUU to get your phone to true stock. Then OTA. Although, if the RUU was based off 4.0.4 you wouldn't have to OTA. You can always re-ulock your phone after an RUU as long as you have your unlock token and/or super CID.
Did you just flash a stock ROM?
Also, pretty sure there are 4.0.4 stock ROMs out there that you could flash so you wouldn't have to relock your phone.

Thanks I restored a backup I made before flashing the ROM. Might try and find another ROM to see how 4G goes.
Fixing a connectivity issue on one custom ROM is not a good reason to go stock. I think the OTA needs stock recovery, so that is why you are getting stuck at recovery. Even if it works, you lose root. Its a step backwards, so why would you want to do that?
Just flash a ROM based on 4.0.4 from Development. You can pick a custom ROM, or a stock rooted one (safe to flash from TWRP), if you want stock.
If you are rooted, don't install a OTA or run RUU (unless you are trying to fix a soft brick). Good rule for any Android device.
Hey guys.. i am trying to flash BR full rom using RSD lite 6.1.4. But whenever i start flashing i get this error on RSD " Failed flashing process 13/21 flash devtree "devtree signed" -> phone returned failed . Now my phone is stuck in fastboot. Please help. This is non rooted phone with unlocked bootloader.
Resolved. Damnn.. i overlook unlocked bootloader only. So i unlocked my bootloader and flashed the ROM without any problem.
I had problems after root my device, so I decide reflash it.
First, I reflash with stock SBF Brazilian SBF 7.7.1Q-144, and everything is OK.
Then, I tryed to flash with the new SBF Brazilian 9.8.2Q-8-XT925 and RSDLite 6.0 (tried 6.1.5 too) but resulting a failure.
The error is: Failed flashing process. Unknown fastboot command .(getvar)
What this mean?
Is anyone with this problem too?
What can I do?
Thanks

Please remove getvar line from the xml file and try flashing again. btw i didn't liked the BR retail version.. reason is the bloatware. The most clean rom is Fido canada. Only problem is that its just ICS. Hopefully we will see Fido jelly bean in feb.

OK. Done.
Thank You.
I simply disable unwanted apps.
I'm waiting for new epinters ROM CM10.1 to be stable to use it.
Hi guys,
I have a rooted xt925, and I'm having some problems to take the update. I've read that rooted phones can't update OTA, so I have removed the root, but I still can't update the phone. I've tried to do it via motorola device manager too, but it says that there's no updates to my phone. I've already searched how to solve this, but I'm very noob
Any suggestions?
Thanks
easiest way is to do a factory reset, keep in mind that will erase all your data then try update . You can also flash the OTA but that involves few more steps. Check
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2760840
Because you rooted, that modified the system partition. Removing root might work, but your best bet is to flash an SBF if one exists for the XT925. I don't have an XT925 (I have an XT926), so I have no idea if SBFs exist for XT925.
And before you ask, no. You cannot use and XT926 SBF to flash back to stock.
Oh, I did factory reset two or three times, and ota update continues to fail.
I will try to search more about SBF. And it's possible to flash a kitkat rom without have a kitkat bootloader?
For xt925,you flash European cee 4.1.2 jb, then take the update or flash it itself.
Hi Guys,
I just received the XT1033 Lollipop notification and clicked upgrade.... Unfortunately the upgrade failed and I suspect perhaps that's because I have clockworkmod installed instead of the stock recovery?
Where do I go from here? How do I get my phone so the upgrade installs successfully?
I'm in New Zealand if that matters. Not sure if you get a different OTA update per country?
Also note, the phone is still working fine (ie not bricked or anything), just the upgrade is failing to install
Flash a stock ROM or gpe and upgrade from there.
Sent from my XT1039 using XDA Free mobile app
Which ROM, does it matter?
I keep seeing stock roms for Brazil/India/Asia, but I live in NZ so I'm not sure what to install. There doesn't seem to be any NZ roms
Plus none of the links in "how to restore to stock" tutorials and faq's seem to work anymore
Can you point me in the right direction please?
You can still install official lollipop if your phone has bootloader unlocked and custom recovery but I would suggest starting from scratch. If you bought phone from anywhere in Asia then flash stock asian KitKat ROM and if you bought it from Brazil then flash stock Brazilian KitKat rom. After that you can update your phone to official lollipop.
PS- there is no NZ ROMs for xt1033. Only Asian and Brazilian. It depends on the region from where you buy the phone, not where you live.
I bought it in NZ...
Aha! I found in the phone settings it says 210.12.40.falcon_umtsds.AsiaRetail.en.03
Asia rom it is then, I'll go try it out

Good Luck
You should not need to unlock bootloader to flash the fastboot firmware image.

he has cwm.that means unlocked bootloader.
Flash 5.0.2 firmware.no need to revert to 4.4.4 or use ota since lollipop flashable imge now available for xt1033 asia retail.
