Hello, today I've installed the MIUI rom.
I found out that some apps when I tap on the input box the app crash (Twitch, stock Browser (tapping on google search bar), Steam).
How can I fix this?
Thank you all.

If the miui thread is in a development forum, this user hasn't enough posts to post there. If the thread is somewhere else, it's not an official thread

Is there any chanches to fix this annoying problem?

The leaked Miui rom is strictly beta and is not available nor fully functional for public consumption yet. This is why its in beta form to stop people from using it and having issues and also to stop the cluttering of forums with posts and threads about things not working. If I was you I would use something more stabler until miui becomes more stable for daily use.

Hi mate, the leaked beta it's much more stable than many half baked roms that i see in the developement forum. The MIUI thread in the General forum is a "friendly" thread and this is a rare thing nowdays here on XDA.Maybe once MIUI will release the official beta we will have a nice thread in the developement forum.

THX,i was keeping an eye on that thread since it was created . Sadly i was to late to apply for beta tester back in the days and i don't think they accept/need new ones.I hope they will release the official one soon.
BTW,the fact that i'm supporting a leaked rom doesn't mean i that i encourage the people who actually released the leak,it's unprofessional and unfair to the people who trusted you and accepted to be part of their team, but this is our world with all the good and bad.

Personally I respect the devs of the "half baked" miui ROMs that made something out of nothing. With a huge demand from the n5 community as well.
We should be grateful for their efforts.

I think you missunderstood my previous post, when i said "half baked" i was speaking about their functionality and wasn't aim to miui based roms, but even aosp, aokp,cm,etc roms that are not even tagged as beta.So basically i was just pointing that for being a beta it's quite stable, that's all.

I can see your point clearer now.
I assumed miui...my bad. Cause it was n7 port or nothing. I'd never expect it to be perfect. Lol
Apologies for the misunderstanding.

It would be very nice if someone takes care of this.
I'd love to see & test a cyanogenmod porting on this little diamond.
I know there aren't kernel sources available yet but is there any chance to get a working cyanogenmod porting soon?
PS: There's also a discussion on the cyanogen board for this. So i'm definetively not the only one who wants this.
Stop posting this crap in the dev section once again no one reads. Unless you ported this then this has zero to do with development. Mods will be notified.

we need a sticky that says we don't have source code yet, thus cant port cm
It wouldn't matter, it's not like these people even read anything before they post... How many threads are there out there about whether or not we have an OC kernel or when are we going to get source code. They'll still keep posting no matter how many stickies we put up (not to say that we shouldn't do it, just saying it most likely won't help this problem). We almost just need to tell a mod and have them come in and black hole/move the thread before it becomes too much of an annoyance.
Lol you all gone crazy.
Did you even read my post where i clearly say i know that we lack the kernel sources ?
There are some unofficial cyanogenmod portings made withouth the kernel sources.
'll wait the kernel sources before posting again.
do sb ever get the source code
what about g14?

Why is there no love for the Skyrocket in ROM-MIUI land?
Becauae we don't have the source code for many drivers.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
as u are a new user to the skyrocket section, first, welcome. Second, the search feature and Google are your friends.
No miui for skyrocket yet, as no source code is available yet. The ics we have isn't even an release candidate, is more like a late beta
Eugene is working on miui. But with out source. Close to impossible
Check my threads.
There's an almost working version that I posted.

I did the requisite search for miui on the skyrocket threads/sections to know success, hence my query.

yea, eugene has been working on miui alongside cyanogen. there is a thread about it in t989 general section.
Is this possible?
I really want the latest Miui
miui[dot]com/a-203.html
I dont have any knowledge of porting or anything like that just flashing a few roms. Im using an old version right now.
I have been using a version from the forums here and I am trying to get a new version of Miui because there seems to be alot missing.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2028368
Not the latest miui but it is extremely stable and updated. Follow his Google + page. He postes the link in the op and he said it again on the last few pages

I am using that version of the rom right now it seems to be missing alot of features. I used to use miui on the nexus and it had so much more than the Gs3
The problem is MIUI is closed source and also the smali edits required are redonkulous. I'd honestly be greatful for what we got. If u were around the d2vzw scene in the beginning the MIUI we had was crap with minimal support

Hi!
I just wonder what custom rom is most stable for everyday usage, preferably based on ics or higher.
Thx
Actually according to xda rules most stable rom topic is prohibited...
It will be good if you try the most roms in the development section by yourself and find out which is more stable...

Oh, well in that case I'm sorry.
I rather not go through the process of testing every single rom myself, I just thought that some of you guys with experience could share your thoughts. I guess I'll continue using the stock rom then, was looking forward to use a rom where ghostcalls isn't an issue, can't belive these kind of bugs are present in stock roms...

Hey!Which KitKat rom works best on Xperia L? There are many fixes, so I think that Android 4.4 is ready to daily use. But I don't know which rom is best:CM11, AOSPA Beta-6 or SlimRom?

I suppose you really wanted to ask was which KitKat ROM is stable and with least bugs at the moment and you got the reply accordingly!
However, to a normal user it might look as ROMs being compared which is against XDA policies. I suppose changing your words of your posts be great!
Every ROM is developed after a lot of hard work and telling one ROM is better than another doesn't seem fair either as everyone has different level of skills ! Not just that, one ROM which you prefer might not be suitable for someone's else daily use!

The developers usually write the bugs in the ROM with screen shots and what exactly the ROM has to offer!
If it interests you, go ahead and flash it !
You can ask for bugs, usual problems etc but not compare ROMs like : this ROM is better than this but you can give opinion like : I like this ROM as I find this x feature useful..

The only reason why I stated AOSPA beta 6 was because I've heard users saying that it's the most efficient Kit-Kat rom. (bug less)
Not because it's better than the others.

No comparison threads between ROMs and kernels as these aren't allowed on xda. Reported.
Attention New Users!
"Best ROM/Kernel" threads are not tolerated on XDA. Why?
Because what somebody may say is a good ROM, may not work well on somebody else's device. Or Somebody else may not just plain like it.
Everybody has a different requirement, and things like this are considered "subjective". To determine what may be best for you;
1) Read the last several pages of a popular rom thread to determine any new issues in the latest release.
2) Try several ROMs to determine which you like, or works better for your taste.
3) Read the "Original Post" for known issues.
This is the only way to determine what is right for you.
Thread is closed.
Cheers!
MD
