I own a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 GT 3100 and I
wanted to know what type of scratch resistant
glass is used in this particular tab.? Some of
the blogs mentioned that tab 310 uses
Samsung's patented scratch resistance glass
but on the other hand in many of the blogs it
mentioned that the display glass of the gt310 is
not scratch resistant.. I am totally confused.
I also got in touch with the customer care of
Samsung here at India but to my dismay I
didn't get a satisfactory reply. They failed to
clear my doubt.
Hopefully my doubts will be cleared in this
forum by the esteemed members.. Help is
highly anticipated and will be appreciated..!

Wow. That is all... wow
Help me..!
Can anyone find out if any other scratch resistant glass is used in Tab 2 aka GT P3100. I did read on a blog that Samsung has used a hardened glass with oleophobic coating.. Can anyone confirm the claim.
Help me......please.....

Well I have still not received a definitive answer to my query. I would request the senior members to find out the fact and update me. Please admins. HELP me. I am really looking forward to get a confirmation..! HELP ME.. PLEASE..
Not to be rude but everyone that has responded is a senior member. These forums are not a place to have people do your research for you. If anyone knew for sure they would have posted it already or they will when the time comes. If Samsung has even released the info then it can be found with a little bit of research. You could even send Samsung an email. If they give you no response then its something they are keeping a secret for now.

well i doubt this answers your question, but i had placed my tab 7 on the top of my trunk, when my kid accidentally knocked the tab over, falling screen first onto the cement. needless to say, it took it like a champ, no scratch after i buffed it with a cloth.

@ Gizmoe: I believe we all are trying to find/share information regarding our loved android devices. I am just one of them. No offence but I have not asked specifically anyone to do a research or write up a thesis for me.. I am just a normal android user with the curiosity to know something new for the devices..
LONG LIVE CURIOSITY.. LONG LIVE DISCUSSIONS..

Maybe I'm missing something but this sounds like a request that someone find out for you. I am not trying to be mean though. I still think your best bet is to contact Samsung directly. Like I stated above, if they have released the info to the public they will surely give it to you.

Thanks mate.. I suppose no hard feelings..!
Come on guy. Chill out.
As for me, I hope the screen is made of some kind of scratch resistant glass.

I do hope it is scratch resistant in some fashion... I have asked my local ghost armor vendor to get in some tab 2 10.1 screen protectors. The one on my galaxy nexus is perfect!
Well it's certainly not break resistant I've dropped my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0" from hip height onto the street, it hit the street first with the glass and that was it..
Now since the device still works, even the touchscreen still works well, I am trying to find a replacement glass. Does anybody know where I could find one?

Thanks for the links man!
I think I'll go with that one:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Touch-Scree...y-Tab-2-P3100-P3110-P3113-Tools-/111051728473
They include a set of tools and are also quite cheap: 25$ with free shipping from china (every time I order something from there I wonder how it's possible that they can offer free shipping from china to europe, even for 5$ items)
On dx.com you can find 1-2$ items with free delivery... Chinese .
To make it more easily, watch disassembly P3100 videos on youtube.
Yes it has.
I have never used a screen protector ever since I bought mine november last year. the screen is still pristine and scratch less. i use it every and put it in my backpack. my 3 year old son even stepped on it screen side up and nothing happened. so the screen is as advertised by samsung.
FWIW I don't think it's gorilla glass because I can feel the extra drag. GG is more slippery, at least whatever kind is on my gs3.
I much prefer naked screens so will try to dissuade the wife from putting a screen protector on it.

All versions of the s4 are exactly the same except for the internal stuff and software but the outside shell is the same.
That seller, sold out and emailed me a refund option.
Another seller, has 2 left at the time of this posting, started at 7 or 8, I bought 1, and looks like they are selling well.
edit -> just rechecked the page, looks like the seller had updated it is selling more. Might just be moving it up pending sales, who knows.

There is a third seller:

I was hoping to find a classifieds section in the forum, but did not. :crying:
I am curious where the best place to sell a slightly used Nvidia Shield Tablet 32GB - LTE? It has the power cord and official cover. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Looking for a suggestion on a smartwatch. I'll be pairing it with an android phone(s9+ or maybe a71 in the near future) and would like to have heart rate monitor and support to recieve all my notifications would be nice. In particular I need notifications for workplace messenger by Facebook primarily. Being able to respond to notifications would be nice but not totally required. I'd like other heart monitoring functions if possible but realize I can only expect so much from a $50 smartwatch!

I'm legit curious.. Am I asking to much for $50.. I mean I can hop on Amazon and see several options that seems to fit the bill but given the nature of xda I figured I'd reach out here to see if and of the watches I had looked at might pop up in conversation. I feel like I'm asking for a reasonable trade off here in what I can or can't sacrifice, but if not, enlighten me what's reasonable to expect from a $50 smartwatch?
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Maybe it would help if you gave the name and brand of the watches you are wondering about.

You do realize this thread is almost a year old?
Just saw a review of the OnePlus Smartwatch. Looks pretty solid for not much money!
