Hi im sorry if im not posting in correct place but im having trouble getting 10mbs+ on ps4 connection i get 123kbs download speed and upload speed like 106.8kbs can someone help me improve the configure setting so i can have a better speed? Please i have a rooted samsung galaxy s5 with unlimited data and wifi tether router it works fine with my other s5 but not with ps4 connection please help me

How did you get it to work on the ps4 please help???

I am actually having the same problem.. I just picked up a ps4 a few weeks ago and decided to root my phone (galaxy note 3) and downloaded the Wi-Fi tether router from the play store. My brothers iPhone and my girlfriends laptop connects to my Wi-Fi perfectly. But when I try to connect to ps4, the console won't sign me into the PlayStation network. the console will obtain the IP address, internet connection is successful but PSN sign in fails. The internet browser on the console also goes to the Tmobile page asking me to activate hotspot. I tried setting up vpn to try and bypass tmobiles restrictions but it takes me to the same Tmobile page. This is my only means of playing online or enjoying Netflix. Please help

did u ever get it to work I've encountered the same problem

hi i am trying 2 get a wifi signal of my phone so that way i can play online on my ps3 do does anyone know how to do that
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-mobile-wi-fi-router.html
3th party program required
You can do this with the program posted by the guy above ^^
Or, find a ROM with the WiFi router program cooked in..
However mobile internet may be a *bit* slow to play video games over
i already attempted this ages ago, and failed miserably, for some reason my PS3 wont pick up an AD HOC connection from my Touch Pro unless im doing something wrong

hello, I suggest to buy a WMWiFiRouter. It is the best solution ever I think! I use it for two years, it has many usefull features and I have never had problems with that!

PS3 Works in infrastructure mode only, AD HOC is NOT supported.
I havn't gotten a chance to play with the WIFI router cooked into my Energy rom, but I dont think it should be AD HOC.
I actually was trying this yesterday at a friends house for the 4th. He doesn't have an internet connection at his house and we wanted to play battle field and COD online... Well after looking an looking... The PS3 does not support ad hoc (I don't know why... ) The only way to do it is get a cross over cable (yes it is different from a regular lan cable) and plug it into a laptop/desktop and then connect that to the cell phone and set-up internet connection sharing on the laptop/desktop... I really hope they unlock it in a firmware update and I am rather sad they have locked it out...
I am using the wifi router cooked into the energy rom Version May 8th I think and I also had the cab for WM Wifi router and non of them allowed me to connect the PS3 wirelessly.... I hope this answers your question..
*edit* I was using a touch pro 2 btw.

I don't understand...you are basically using your Blackberry/laptop configuration to make a mobile hotspot, right? If the Xoom can access the wifi signal for one app it should be able to for any app. Maybe I'm missing something. Can you give more explanation?

I connected my blackberry bold which has 3g to my laptop which broadcasts the connection via wifi. The chrome browser and android market and other goodies apps connect but installed apps don't connect. Plus I recently bought a huawei e5 mobile 3g wireless router. I got my xoom connected to the network but right now only the browser goes online,. The other apps just do not. I don't know what other piece of detail I can give other than the fact that my Xoom wifi is not connecting to 3g networks broadcast via wifi. Any ideas?
This is really very strange... I switched my 3G-Xoom into flight mode and then activated WiFi (so it basically behaves like a WiFi-only Version) and connected it to my mobile (Samsung Galaxy S) and all apps are able to access the internet. Connecting ist to a UMTS-Router (Option GlobeSurf) also worked like a charm...
Did you try to connect your Xoom to a WiFi-Router at home (= Internet access via cable not UMTS)? Does this work or do you encounter the same probs?

IP address when sharing internet with laptop

I use need to use my phone to get my laptop online a lot. I had the Epic for two years, and rooted that so I could use the wireless tether. I have not rooted my Q LTE yet. Most of the time I don't care how the connection sets up my IP. However, I do have times when I need my laptop to be online and on a wired network connection simultaneously. When I tried to do that recently using Easy Tether, I kicked my IP for the laptop out of the 192.168.1.X range that I needs for the wired network. Anyone have advice on an app that will not bump my IP outside that? I tried FoxFi and can't get that to even work right (heard something about a known bug).

Wifi tether routher slows down for PS4 Help

I decided to root my phone (galaxy S5) and downloaded the Wi-Fi tether router from the play store. I recently got a message saying " You've used 100% of the paid high speed data on your T-mobile plan. Your Smartphone Mobile Hotspot speed will now be limited to 128 kbps until 09/23/2015. Smartphone data will still be at full speeds. My laptop connects at full speed when using a vpn. Last month it also would work using a user agent and the console would be unaffected for some reason this month T-mobile has found a way to stop it. The console will obtain the IP address, internet connection is successful but the download speed says 128 kbps making everything unplayable. My APN and router settings are all correct and I don't know what to do. This is my only means of playing online or enjoying Netflix plz help me.
Hmmm
The ps store and friends list load slow but I can play games without lag for some reason
Same Problem here. The issue is you can use a user-agent switcher for the pc to hide tethering but not for the PS4. There is no way to hide it so Tmob ALWAYS knows you are tethering your PS4....ie data gone...

Help with Samsung galaxy j7 sky pro hotspot

I bought a straight talk Samsung galaxy j7 sky pro and can't find the hotspot if it even has one. So I installed a hotspot from the Google play store and it says I have to root before it can be used with this phone. Can someone please tell me what that is and how to fo it? I tried looking it up on Google but I couldn't make heads or tails of it.
This works
I have this phone for straight talk and i use PDAnet for android. If you have a laptop with hotspot capabilities, you can use PDAnet on there for a USB tether. The other alternative that might work for you ( did not work for me due to some dumb error) is FoxFi. FoxFi is compatible with PDAnet too. You can use a Bluetooth connection too for some devices.
Hope it works!
What does it matter what "hotspot" capabilities you have on any other device other than a standard wifi connection? And pdanet is used on the pc or other device? What exactly turns wifi hotspot feature on on this phone according to your solution?
So I was able to connect my windows laptop to the network but not my other android phone. I have PdaNet installed on it too. So if anyone has any tips on how to get android to Android to work with this phone pls advise. I'm using the j7 Sky Pro for straight talk

I also have a J7 sky pro and have noticed when trying to connect to a pdanet hot spot (using wifi direct hotspot on another device and connecting to it with the J7) that some devices have communication issues that are hit or miss. My wife has the galaxy note 9. When hers is used as the wifi direct hot spot it will connect to the network using WPS but pdanet bugs out or something. After wps process finishes it says "WPS complete, Waiting for wifi connection. It remains stalled out there. However I did manage to get it to sucessfully connect to it ONCE (1 out of about 400 attempts) I did manage to get it to connect outside of pdanet for internet connection by using the wifi connection settings and connecting to the network there but also hit the advanced options and then set the proxy to manual then used 192.168.49.1 as the proxy address & port 8000. that allowed me to gain internet with the j7. As i said though it so far has just been with the Note 9. A friend with an S9 set his up and I could connect to it just fine. So I don't know if it is pdanet actually nerking out and having issues or if it is the communication between the devices. If you are trying to use your J7 as the hotspot set it up as wifi direct instead of the foxfi hotspot then use connect to pdanet hotspot from the other device to connect to the the J7
