usb strapping htc 8x to an android device (wip) - Windows Phone 8x by HTC

Its a work in progress but I was able to get a galaxy nexus to recognize my HTC 8.1 then strapped together with usb otg powered cable with a charging micro usb connected to the otg
This worked in the bootloader mode and booted mode on the 8x. Didn't work when android was booted in tarp recovery. Android gallery on the galaxy nexus attempted the sync photos but failed.
I'm thinking the possibility of using a parallel usba to usba ustarcom cable might might be successful at reading the window phone file system.
I will add pics when I get to a pc.
Any suggestions or comments are apprecieated.

I have a card reader and a 1gb microsd.
Can someone teach me how to connect them? I tried and the card reader's led is always off. And the phone just remains on "Enter USB Host Mode"
Edit: I found out that when I use a thumb drive, it did have power but my card reader no
But my card reader works normally :/

According to this inside settings and storage i have an option of external usb mount.
But when i tried it. Nothing happens.not even the led in the pendrive works.
I tried it about 30 different cables so there is no chance that every cable is faulty.
And my personal 16 gb pendrive. It works fine on pc.
When i insert the cable with pendrive.
Nothing happens. This option remains locked. And nothing happens to device not pendrive.
Plz solve this problem. And grately i am not rooted. Nither this device shows any optuons in recovery.
I have recovery amd fastboot mode.

USB device not recognized anymore

I recently had my phone's board replaced so I lost root. Now, I'm trying to unlock my bootloader again, but I keep on getting this error when connecting my phone. Dev option is already enabled, OEM unlocking and USB debugging are enabled as well. Also, phone charges so nothing's wrong with the cable. And I'm using the same PC I used to root my phone, but that's 2 or 3 years ago. Anyone has an idea and can help me?

Potato inc.
Active now
It looks like a defective usb port on the PC or an incorrect repair.
And if you connected in Fastboot or simply to transfer photos, what happens?

Usb to C-usb android table to PC

I have a USB to C-USB to connect my android tablet to PC win 10 ,i can see it's connected but nothing show and no way to make files show, do i need a special usb to C-USB cable? or is there a way to connect Device to PC without cable?
If tablet's USB mode is set to "MTP" you should see the tablet's files / directories in Windows Explorer.
