To be honest I just used the firmware that came with my phone.. But since it worked with you before (except for the keyboard crash)... It should work again.

[MOD/THEME] Hangouts Smileys for stock Samsung messaging app!

Tired of the standard green "ugly" emojis in Samsung's stock messaging app?
This mod will replace the stock green Android emojis with new shiny ones ported from Hangouts app.
It's a tiny mod but I really put some effort in getting the mod perfect.
Smiley's are 1080p sharp 'n crisp and resized (75x75) to fit good, plus I added a black outline stroke for best visibility on any chat bubble style.
* Requires root, custom recovery and deodexed system.
* Even tho you probably are very evil, a thanks for my effort never hurts.
* Removed CM10 version for now as it doesn't work.
I flashed the CWM zip using PhilZ Touch, but using any other custom recovery should work fine.
Installation script uses "vrtheme" and mods your current SecMMS.apk so this mod should work fine on any I9505 firmware version.

I git cloned the AOSP MMS app (branch android-4.4.4_r2.0.1) and entirely redesigned it from the ground up. Features are slowly being added in, but being done so carefully, as not to break anything.

I set the minimum API to 19 (was testing some stuff and forgot to drop it). I'll be pushing an update to fix that shortly.

It should work with other android versions

well, the Mms.apk FC-s on Xperia mini pro with CM10. I first tried installing it as an update, and then pushed it to system/app/ and the result is same. I also tried clearing the app data, still force closing.
didn't try contacts, so can't tell anything about whether it's working or not.

I am deeply saddened. I used to just pull Mms.apk from cm's rom and manually replace my messaging app and it used to work with no issues. Now, offical cm and this app does not work with my device. It instantly force closes. I really want to get this to work with my phone as it used to work back in early april.
I attached my logcat file. I launched mms.apk 3 times within the log. I hope this helps.

@Reinvented Is the new version compatible with the GS5? Also do I have to be on CM for it to work? Because I am using a GS5 (as stated) and running a TouchWiz based ROM (4.4.2).

My previous device was Xperia S and i used to love its walkman player with Clear Audio settings, so when i moved to G2 i was searching something similar and i found this Z2 walkman player mod by ibanez7. I gave it a go and it worked flawlessly on the stock D802 ROM and to my surprise, the audio quality has been improved a hell lot.

This player uses as much RAM as would any other music player.. didn't noticed such stuff.. I have been using it for more than 2 weeks..

Yeah, i had a feeling it was just me. I disabled the app and i noticed a lot less lag than with it running. Need to look more into it on my end. I probably have to much stuff running at the same time.
