It works some times but recently I'm trying to say OK GOOGLE and it just shows a blank microphone in the search bar. I have to reset my phone and it will work for a short time before stopping.
I would like to not have to factory reset since I have some very important documents photos and other items.
I don't have a computer to back it up to so that's out of the question.
Any ideas ?

If it crashes you will see a "so and so has stopped working" message on your screen. If the icon is hollowed then Hotword detection is not currently activated. This can happen most commonly when the speaker is outputting any sound so that it doesn't take the speaker output as the microphone input.

I recently flashed infinity and since then whenever I get a text the message flashes on the screen no matter what app I'm in. It also reads the text out loud if my media volume is up. I don't know if this came with the from or if I changed some settings unknowingly. Has anyone else had this happen?
Check settings-> Accessibility.

Nope accessibility is off and it says I don't have any accessibility apps.
Wipe and reflash. This should solve the issue. Are u using titanium backup?

Have you checked the settings in the messaging app itself?
@vabeach is that an Initial D profile picture?

yes I'm using titanium. And it happened on the 12/04 infinity and after I wiped and flashed the 12/11 infinity. The messaging app itself is just the stock one and I couldn't see any settings about text to voice or anything. Hmm mind boggling.
There's a Text-to-Speech menu under settings as well. Might want to check there.

Long press the home screen --> settings --> there is a switch to activate or not Google Now
Nice find with the long press on homescreen. Hadn't seen that. I just logged out and logged in again.
BTW if you clear the data from search it just reverts all home screens to default and you lose Google Now.

Is there a way to control music without activating the screen.
Case in point, I want to play next/preview while running. Witout having to turn on the screen. I can't blindly find the next on such a small screen.
I don't think a bluetooth headset would work while running.
Any suggestions?
I guess there may be an app that will trigger next song when volume up is pressed and held for sometime..

Hello.
I have a small problem talking on the phone. All the time when I'm making / reviving a call I put my phone to ear and when I'm closing the conversation on my display are open all: clock, viper audio notification, status bar.. Etc.
And yes the sensor is working OK .
I made a test
I call to service ( is free ) and block the lux sensor.
Screen black : - ok
Touching the screen: - ... Not on. All the time when I was pressing the clock and releasing the lux sensor I found my clock app open.
Some help and advice will be welcomed.
Thank you on advance

Try closing all your apps from the "recent apps" menu before making a call. Does it still open all those apps?
Yeap are still opening them. I'm thinking is a hardware problem ( not locking the screen during call )

And you're not rooted?
It's not hardware if it's simply opening apps.
I would recommend either trying other ROMs (If you're rooted), or flashing the factory images (if you're not rooted).

You need a Quickboot.apk as a system app.
There is no point anyways, as it is not really "quickboot".
When enabled, instead of shutting down, it just puts the phone on airplane mode, turns the screen off and blocks every single wake. When you "turn it back on" it just turns off airplane mode, wakes it back up and plays the bootanimation for 2 seconds.
Hmm.. Ok, so how can i get quickboot to work on my phone?
