I do not know what to say... This is sad, very sad
What? Xperia M have a better processor than XL? Are they kidding me..The GPU is the same in both devices, XL have better cores, the same screen resolution..They are simply lazy a**holes..
This is my first and last smartphone from Sony.
I 'm starting to think that in sony are working idiots msm8230 is capable at playing and recording 1080p videos and have stock clock 1.2 ghz but lovely sony have underlocked it to 1.0 ghz and have distabled 1080p recording and decoding. While msm8227 is not capable at 1080p and have stock frequency 1.0 ghz
Xperia M procesor isn't even on 1GHz, it's on 930-970MHz I think, tested on my friends XM, and our XL is on 1027MHz, and with it isn't cappable running 4.3? Yeah right... I think I'm going to change my phone for some hTC it is simply better than Sony s**t -.-'
Well, at least they released another update... after 3 months... with no visible changes...
Has any of you guys issues with the ENTER button on keyboarf when writting a message? It is usseles on my phone, but on google chrome it works.
And, it will be my last sony phone, I'm sorry, but I think I MUST buy either Samsung, Oppo, or else,
Is there anyone here who could suggest me?

Indirectly SONY(Sorry) wants to say that we should never buy a sony phone again in future!!!:silly:
ok friends .. no more sony for me .. i dont think they not know our xl more powerful than xm, they just too lazy or dont want to bother with low end device anymore ... i cant take it anymore .. F***s sony .. keep make a new smartphone, z1,z2,z3 bla3 .. sorry to say but samsung give more attention to their costumers .. really2 disappointed with this ..
Its all rubbish xperia e1 released with 4.3 has a qualcom msm8210 302 gpu and 512mb ram idiots Sony are a quick Google search confirmed that was completely bull s*!t
I came from a long trip ( HTC Tattoo - Samsung behold 2 - HTC hero - HTC EXPLORER - HTC DESIRE - HUAWEI IDEOS X5 PRO - SAMSUNG GALAXY 2) but Sony I'm not going to do it again

Chill people  I don't think it's true  Sony can never tell that It's fake cos Sony will never answer such questions
hey op answer to them... which means we xperia l users pay more thn xm for lower hardware?
Sony is not much different from the other manufacturers in terms of OS update. You have to spend good bucks if you want the best. Also fragmentation is inherent in the Android ecosystem.
Good luck with the other Device manufacturers. We the L owners are lucky that finally the ROM developers turned their attention to our device and lots of ROMs are coming out one after another. Sony itself should be given some credit for giving us the AOSP.
But updating XM with 4.3 while leaving us at 4.2 is a horrible mistake on Sony's part. They might lose some fans and customers as well with this decision. They should clarify their position regarding L the sooner the better for their own good.

Yeah but don't forget, some people have locked bootloaders and they are stuck at 4.2 because sony are afraid to do an update 4.2 -> 4.3/4.4 full of bugs as 4.1 -> 4.2.

The only thing the Galaxy Nexus really has over the G2x is the amount of RAM...
G2x RAPES the Nexus in 3D graphics/gaming... The Nexus is even more bogged down cause of it's higher resolution.
This tread is depressing. The superior performance was the reason i bought this phone, i mean the damn thing beats out my tablet ( AND EVEN THAT HAS ICS!!!). why cant these companies release at least the source for these phone after they have died?
It's nothing with performance issues, it's based on the fact T-Mobile EOL'd the phone so they don't want to pay to get g2x
but if you ask them they will say it's on LG
If you ask LG they will say it's on t-mobile.
Its not just T-Mobile and LG here, nVidia is playing the worst part here. But, it has been reported by LG that they are doing 'beta development' for the O2x. So maybe, just maybe we'll get ics, unofficially though. :/
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
Unfortunately, all the power the g2x has cant save it from LG and nvidia's stupidity and ineptness. Its a shame, cause this is a pretty decent phone if you know what you're doing

I have a thread going with a LG rep over at the LG forums. Official word is as follows:
Brian (Official Rep) 4 hours ago
Sorry I've let this thread sit idle so long, but I've been perplexed about why a TMO rep would post what they did and had to escalate this for an appropriate response.
We were surprised and disappointed to hear that a single TMO rep placed all of the blame onto LG. We have brought this to their attention and we were assured they would quickly correct the response.
LG works very closely with each carrier to bring software updates to our phones. It is very much a joint effort and there are multiple layers of testing involved on both sides to determine whether or not the software will provide the best user experience possible.
Based on extensive testing there are no plans to bring ICS to G2x at this time. However, we can expect future LG devices on TMO to have later versions of Android software
Edit: This is in a thread called "can't you please just confirm this already" which was a demand to LG to say yes/no based on TMO saying LG decided not to update the G2x to ICS.
I don't know if I'm putting this in the correct place and if I'm wrong, I'm sorry. I haven't seen anyone talking about the new tablet the book company Kobo is about to launch. It seems quite good though? What do you think? http://www.kobo.com/koboarc

Yeah it's quite fast, and very cheap.
What is a bugger is that without GPS it won't install a lot of apps from the Google Play Store.
And I hope someone here will root it, so I can make it connect to an ad-hoc Symbian WiFi tether... who knows what the future will bring..

Port our device to some nice third party firmware! I'd love to see CM10 running on our Arc. (I work for Kobo :3)
I do know our programmers are working on a 4.1 update sometime in January though. And yes, installing a launcher to disable tapestries and the discover bar really does make it a beautiful tablet. I personally use ADW launcher on all of my Android devices though. Looks great and it's quite fast.
So Sony is releasing an app called PlayStation Mobile. It is currently available on Sony's website HERE for download. It will soon be officially released for the HTC One family (X and S mentioned for sure) soon. Our device (the whole HTC One lineup) (and other select few Android devices) is going to be officially supported meaning we will be "PlayStation Certified" (Sony's words).

Does this look good? Anyone plan on paying for these games once this service is released? It was just recently announced, thought I'd give it a share since our device is soon to be officially supported. Is this a new big thing or just a flop?
Don't understand this post. It's already live. Install the apk and enjoy. Am i missing something.
Read the articles... Sony is working with HTC to make the One series 'PlayStation Certified'. That's the main deal of this thread.
The idea is: does this mean anything or is it just **** Sony is introducing to get more cash? Or are these games actually console-like quality or just mobile rip-offs.

Apparently these screenshots were taken by "some dude" on an AT&T Moto X, to a friend, who then sent them to Brian Klug, a senior editor for Anandtech.
Here are the screenshots:
The phone probably has a Snapdragon 600! Or something similar, because I don't honestly think an S4 Pro could perform that well. Maybe Moto's baked something special just for us!

How does CPU-Z actually ID the hardware? Is the CPU specs ID'd by CPU model number or are they placeholders in this case because it is an unreleased phone?

If not them, never-msrp if they drop the price a bit, $799 is a bit high, when I can get it from handtec for 700 shipped from UK to the states...

Me too, I suppose. I'll be using T-Mobile for the foreseeable future, and I'd like to have its LTE supported. For the record, am I going to be able to buy the Z3 contract-free from T-Mobile?
I was too sad with z1 and I bought a Lumia 1020. I won't but again a Sony, very good material but camera in low light conditions is poor and the updates suck ! Sorry mate

I don't see why not, they really don't have contracts anymore anyway. But if you are saying buy it outright instead of the add to your monthly bill, I'm pretty sure you'd be able to.
I too will probably get it for T-Mobile, more so for Wi-Fi calling unless it's possible to put T-Mobiles Z3 firmware on my Z2 and get it to work
if the verizon rumors are true, ill be getting one. but it needs to be released within 2 months.......
I'll be getting one! From Samsung Galaxy S4.
Hopefully it'll worth the swap.

I had the Z1, now I have the Z2, the upgrade is very noticeable, despite what it says on paper. So the Z3 will deffo be amazing

Dude.....You have no idea how jealous I am right now haha. Where did you get this?
Yatango in Australia are pre-selling. Eta is 29th Sept despatch but expect it will actually be early Oct. I've not had an Xperia since breaking my Z Ultra a few months ago and am looking forward to coming back after a frustrating time with an LG g3
