After learning about an AirCrack apk for Android, I wasn't sure if bcmon supported the wi-fi chipset on the Atrix 2 or not.
The guide at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233282 is pretty good, but I can't find any mention of the chipset the Atrix 2 uses.
Any ideas?
Buddy A2 uses TI's OMAP 4430 chipset not the broadcom's
Thanks! For future reference, where could I have found that info?

Hi, i wanted to ask which processor is faster:
The 400mhz Samsung of the Tytn or the 400mhz Qualcomm of the Tytn II ?
What are the advantages of each processor?
I heard that the samsung has a better connection to the flash, but i couldn't find much information in the web. Thx!
i would like to know that too.....
me too...
but i think the advantage (only of the chipset, not the devices with the chip!) of qualcomm are the all-in-one-chip-technology..
its all in one chip.. the gpu, fm-radio, gps, and so on....
According to Adama over at Brihthand, the Samaung chip is slightly faster than the MSM7200 and exactly the same speed as the MSM7500. Not sure where he gets his megaflop test data.

... and, currently, the lack of proper driver support....
however, I'd still go with the Qualcomm.
Samsung better see here

Hi all, I have read many articles that say to be able to use adobe flash player 10.1 you must have armv7 processor, I was wondering,
what's the difference between armv6 and armv7?
Is it possible to modify the armv6 based phone to be able to use that?
wht r phones that use armv7?
thx b4..
Hi and welcome
You can not change the processor, it would be like making your P4 a core i5, I think the difference is in the architecture and the instructions.
However you can check if your phone supports it or not, devices with qualcomm snapdragon should support flash, you can find a comprehensive list of device specs here - pdadb.net

i see, so just the phone with qualcomm snapdragon that will support flash right?
is there any chance the other phone with different processor could do the same?
Because if not, it will affect the price of all entry level android phone in the future and it means we have to buy an expensive android phone to just be able to use flash
The samsungs with the ~1 Ghz CPU will probably support it, as well as tegra and tiomap, just check the particular device you want
Hi there. I was reading this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032
And it says that we can do this in any phone wich have an ARM proccessor.
So, i googled the atrix 2 specs and i read that our Atrix 2 has an 'Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor'
AND, it says that we have this: 'ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 AP20H chipset'
Is this true or false? Do we have Tegra 2?
Because i research in many webs, and all say the same.
I think they're wrong.
Well, bye.
Thx for reading, and sorry if i had mistakes writting in english.
The Atrix 2 has a TI OMAP4430 processor in it, and the Tegra 2 you mentioned is what's in the original Atrix 4G. (Both are ARM processors, in fact almost every Android phone besides the Motorola RAZR i has an ARM based processor)
Now as for the entropy seeder, I can confirm that it works with the Atrix 2. The only place I've really noticed a difference though is when I unlock the phone and it loads the home screen - that used to lag and no longer does. But as for gaming performance, I can't tell any difference with or without it.
I can't figure it out. I have an old phone which can run apps meant for ARMv6 processor but the apps made for ARMv7 or higher processor force close on my device. This means that my device has ARMv6 compatible processor.
Now I'm planning to buy a new phone & found one to my expectation. That phone has Mediatek MT6592 processor.
So I want to know whether I will be able to use apps which are compatible with ARMv7 or higher processor on the new phone with Mediatek MT6592 processor?
Please help me...!!!
Oh Yes!! I got it...
& thanks for giving no ideas
Hello everyone ! So I opened this thread to talk and get some clarifications on some of Broadcom SoCs. People with knowledge are wellcome to share some light !
Let's get started ,today the culprit is Broadcom Bcm2157 SoC . Tried to find detailed hardwer informations ,but I only managed to find that this bad boy it is a dual core 500mhz armv6. No infos about gpu or memory interface. So I looked deeper but i found nothing. Then i found about BCM21553 , armv6 with a supposed VideoCore IV Gpu. Could be possible bcm2157 to have the same GPU? If yes , how easy would be to port the android gpu drivers from 21553 source code to 2157?
Found my answer ..... really dissapointed !
