motorola also has an app that will change the bootloader animation depending on time of the day or year. this will just give you the stock animation witht the earth, but not the ones with the monster, winter or spring animations

I recommend nandroid just in case something goes wrong or you want to revert back

Can you add your own images to this? I have a few boot logos that I made and i like to switch them up once in a while. Could i add my own to the gallery somehow so i can easily change between them?
Here is a custom made Flynn Lives Splash Screen using the 89 Forever Symbol(Logo) that is seen on the back of Sam Flynn's motorcycle helmet and elsewhere throughout the movie Tron Legacy. The image was provided to me by "Jahooba" who originally had used this image to make a custom iPhone theme. You can find his image on the web and the corresponding boot animation. That's the only place where you actually see the new logo.

I haven't tested the animation on our device as I'm using a nexus s now (that's where I found the boot animation) so if somebody could test it and give feedback below it would be great.
