Can you add your own images to this? I have a few boot logos that I made and i like to switch them up once in a while. Could i add my own to the gallery somehow so i can easily change between them?

I wasn't too fond of the current CM7 boot animation (mainly the glittery circle arrow thing. I like the CM6 one better.)
So I decided to make my own.
I uploaded it below. Just copy it to /system/media and replace the .zip that is already there. I would advise backing it up in case you want to revert.
Here is a preview, so you know what your downloading before you overwrite your current one.

On a side note, if anyone has any ideas how to make it less choppy while keeping a relatively low file size let me know.

This is pretty sweet. I hadn't seen one that aims to look like a PC's BIOS before. I might have to make one like it myself. I'll just have to read some tutorials... : )
Heh, I completely forgot about those BIOS boot screens. I used to run them on my Kaiser years ago.

You can find his image on the web and the corresponding boot animation. That's the only place where you actually see the new logo.

I haven't tested the animation on our device as I'm using a nexus s now (that's where I found the boot animation) so if somebody could test it and give feedback below it would be great.

motorola also has an app that will change the bootloader animation depending on time of the day or year. this will just give you the stock animation witht the earth, but not the ones with the monster, winter or spring animations
