Hi guys,
I have got a no sound issue on my Global Moto G and my father's Dual Sim one after update to the latest version of stock KitKat. All are not rooted.
Suddenly, there is no sound when I have a phone call, no sound from the back speaker when play music though I changed to normal profile, no silent, no vibration. After reset, everything is back.
I am trying to disable all application switching profile automatically like Assits. Don't know it will occur again.
Did anyone get this issue?
Thanks.

I've been having an issue with Bluetooth streaming audio on every original development rom I've flashed. I'm currently running Slim-4.2.2 build 5.
The problem is that when I'm listening to music through my bluetooth headphones (LG Tone HBS-700) and an incoming call comes through, the music I'm listening to through my headphones comes blaring out the phone's speaker instead of being paused. This happens only when the phone is in vibrate or silent mode. If I have the phone in ringer mode, then the music will pause and the actual ring tone will play out the phone's speaker as it should.
I use Poweramp for local music and Pandora and Spotify as well. For some reason the problem doesn't show itself when I'm listening to Poweramp; only when I'm listening to Pandora or Spotify. (I haven't tried any other apps).
It's only incoming calls too, notifications don't play out the phone's speaker while in silent/vibrate mode during music playback.
A temporary solution for me is to set my ringtone to "none", but then when I have my phone in ringer mode, I have to remember to manually set the ringtone to the one I want and vice versa. I could use something like tasker to handle that, but I'd prefer to fix the root problem if possible vs. covering it up with a hack.
Has anyone else encountered this and hopefully been able to fix it? I'd really like to leave my phone in vibrate mode at work without the possibility of my music blaring out the phone if I get a phone call.
Not a single person has encountered this issue?

Have you tried an app called Soundabout? It is not just a bluetooth issue even with wired headsets this happens also. You will have to get the paid version for Bluetooth settings.
Yeah, I tried out Soundabout with the pro license. I messed with every setting and I couldn't get it to fix the problem.
I never use wired headphones so I didn't know that was an issue too. I just tried out some wired headphones to see if it behaved the same way and there's actually zero issue with wired headphones in relation to an incoming call on my phone. In silent mode, the audio continues to play out the wired headphones and I see a phone call on my screen.
As it turns out, now setting my ringtone to "None" doesn't work as a temporary solution anymore. Media audio from Pandora and Spotify will reroute to the phone's speaker for an incoming call on silent or vibrate mode. I'm going to try out Slim's weekly build 5.5. If that doesn't work, I'm going to check out a custom kernel. If nothing, I may need to revert back to stock as this is a deal-breaker. I can't have my phone making unnecessary noise in a quiet area in the slim chance I get a phone call.
Any and all solutions are welcome if anyone has any ideas or troubleshooting methods they'd like to suggest. Thanks!
same here on stock

very f'n annoying when i get calls at work and i got jams playing and all the sudden just blares out the phone speakers.

Having the same issue with LG Tone+ using PlayerPro with local music. I don't know if it makes a difference (I guess I could test it), but I use last.fm to scrobble all music live.

Hi, I have had my Moto G since Christmas, I am having some problems with the sound on calls.
When I make or receive a call the sound is very quiet and even on loud speaker I can only just hear the person talking. I have turned up the sound all the way during calls but nothing. I have looked at a few settings but nothing seems to help.
My volume control is set to max for everything and the only way I have found for the volume to come back is to turn my phone on and off but after one call its gone back really quiet again. My speakers work fine for music and games it just seems to be during calls.
Any ideas that could help me would be very appreciated,
Thanks, Kim.
In my phone the problem showed up after the KitKat update. While we wait for Motorola to fix this (hopefully), there is a workaround: just lower and raise volume during the call. Works like a charm.
Yesterday night after returning home from a busy day at office, I inserted earphones to my moto G to listen to some songs and i instantly found out that there was a very low audible music playing. My finger instantly went at the volume switch and to my horror i found that the volume is already at max!. I tried to lower volume, with no change in earphone volume intensity and again increased it, still no change.
Then i removed my earphones assuming they are faulty and the loudspeaker had same issue!
I tried changing ringtones to check if those sound play well, but still problem persisted and I instantly realized that my moto g haven't been playing ringtones even at office while receiving messages (Which obviously i had ignored since i was busy with work).
Now a fear gripped me, and thought of my moto G having hardware fault ran through my brain
The only old school option that came to my mind is reboot.
I rebooted keeping my fingers crossed, and to my joy, volume worked fine on speakers and earphone as well.
The concern now is why that happened suddenly ? I run my moto g on stock with no apps that may tinker with my sound / volume.
Has anyone else ever had similar issue ?
From yesterday, Annoying sound s coming, At time of voice call, while am putting loudspeaker in my moto g 1st gen.. but while playing songs/videos it works good.
Factory reset was done. Dailer cache also cleared. But no use. Am using stock lollipop 5.1.
Yesterday i was unlocked my moto g. TWRP mode installed.
So I've had some issues with my G5, including the issue of no output sound from the speaker. When in phone calls, I'd would switch to speakerphone and still nothing. So I went in and had it replaced. At the store, when it was turned on, I didn't hear any sound. I went in and restored my phone, apps and data, still nothing. This weekend, I'm going to do a clean wipe of my phone and try it again.
Am I the only person having this issue?
Just got a G5 for the husband last night and today while he was setting up the alarm clock he was selecting a sound and noticing it was very quiet. When he set an alarm to test it, there was vibration but no sound. Checked everything in the settings we could think of, but the phone was silent until we restarted it.
I'm concerned.
My LG G5 850 EU model just "died" randomly on me today of its speaker... I just turned it on, and I have no audio anymore via the bottom speaker. I cant imagine this is a hardware failure...
