Everytime I reboot/boot my phone, this window pops up saying "ANDROID-OS upgrading" then like "uograding apps 12 / 86" and it takes time.. so how do I get rid of this and does .odex files have anything to do with it? Thanks in advance

While deodexing the apk and odex file will be one file so it is not needed to delete those than you can better deodex with one of my zip files

Just social medias, root explorer, folder mount, game editor/hackers, and some racing games. I read what @safariking linked, they are talking about Lucky Patcher and removing odex files that way. That's what I did (but odex insted of deodex) before I had this problem.. that's how it started

UPDATE:
I found a VideoEditor.apk in the SGS2 dump. I tried install with astro and it could not be installed. Dragged it to system/app folder and it did not show up in the app drawer. Could anyone be able to get it working?
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18421884/VideoEditor.apk
__________________________________________________________
I took the Videoeditor.apk and .odex files from my buddies Xoom and put it on my G2x but it didnt work
Xoom Obviously is Tegra also so I am assuming in the right hands someone could figure this one out. Let me know if you think this could be possible.
If your interested in trying to get a fix, here are the files:

videoeditor.odex : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18421884/VideoEditor.odex

use root explorer
delete com.android.vending-1.apk in /data/app folder
copy this com.android.vending-1.apk to /data/app with permissions rw-r--r--
click on it and it will install
How do you take screenshots? Just rooted my Play

You can also extract the rar file and install it like any apk.

yea yea its just easier to extract it then install like any other app!!!!!!!!!!
You don't need to uninstall the orginal Market, just run the apk and it will apply updates
I'm using the new market with an APK I got from Android Police.
I really like your theme, where can I get it?

Ok, i have modified my flies.apk using winrar and when i pasted in system/app it was not fine. There were two my files . It should have asked to overwrite...
Then i deleted the old one and copied the new one. Then i rebooted it
Nothing was there. My new modified my files was not there. It was in system/app but not shown in app drawer(it was not hidden). I restored my old one (Thanks to titanium backup) but now it is not shown in system/app.
Well i want to know is there a problem in modified apk?
I have also signed it
I have used this method
Opened my files with winrar
Changed things
Closed winrar
Signed it
Is this correct?

I didn't mean mounting /system R/W
I mean your modded apk file permission, use an app like Xplore or Root Explorer to give it 644 permission in order to see it in the app drawer.
Or just install it as user app and use Titanium Backup to convert it to system app.
But how do i do with titanium backup as its not installed
In titanium backup old my files is shown not new one

Hi there
My experiments come to an end. Pls note the steps below
(1)at first u need a sample zIP download it from below link
http://d-h.st/ZYX
(2)download "PowerGrasp file manager" from link below
http://d-h.st/t3u
(3)open the sample zip from file manager(do not extract) u will see
Folder meta-inf (don't modify it leave it as it is)
now make another folder named system under this make folder app(For apk's)now cut and paste any desired apk into app folder
(4)now file manager asks compression level choose normal(6)
(5)Now exit this zip operation
Hurrey u have created ur first cwm flashable zip from ur phone itself
Goto recovery and flash it. Off course it will work just try and hit thanks
-----------------------------------------------------
Hints
/system/app - all the system apps (SystemUI.apk etc)
/system/framework/ -framework-res.apk,android.policy.jar
/system/media - bootanimation.zip
/system/lib - libraries (*.so)
---------------------------------------------------------------
For rom's flashable zip u need to edit the updater script u can do this also in mobile(like notepad++ in PC)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aor.droidedit
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HIT THANKS if u like my work. Don't think just hitttttt
Great thanks testing

If u want to make flash able zip of boot animation then u need PC
With this u don't need PC. Understand the thread now u can create flashable zip right from your phone
Basically it can be used to make flashable zips/roms. Or edit existing roms to remove stuff you don't want before flashing all from your phone.

There, works perfect now.
Something to do with how many pictures are in a single folder.
Also, cropped out some of the background, and scaled up the image (maybe lost some quality, but I didn't notice it at all).
Download the attachment or, from here (DevHost link).
