Could you unlock it?? Im in the same process as someone sold me a blacklisted IMEI phone

I have bought unlock code on eBay and it worked but I'm not sure that my phone was really blacklisted.
it takes up to 25 days from order and there is no 100% guarantee that it will work for you too, but it's worth to try
you can contact this seller
maybe they can help you. and I assume that you don't want to use it in USA

if the phone has bad IMEI at this point the unlock is impossible

I just bought a HTC Elfin from the carrier Claro here in Puerto Rico as a birthday present for my nephiew since its his favorite phone and wanted him to use it in his AT&T service, and was planning to give it to him today but seems like this model is harder to unlock than the elf. i have tried to use the unlock methods posted on this site but they all give me the same code and it doesnt work (looks like my specific model is different thust the code isnt the same) I thought that it was just as easy as unlocking an elf but i was wrong. Can anyone help me or point me to a way to unlock the device for free?? I would pay for an online service but my credit card is maxed out and i cant purchase online with it.
If anyone can lend me a hand on unlocking the phone ill PM the device ID or the IMEI# if needed or at least tell me where i can achieve this please reply

Where did you buy the code from (which site)? Sprint S5 phones can only be unlocked by Sprint and this only for international use and not for domestic carrier (hopefully you are not in the USA)

First of all if you paid by credit card you may be able to get your fee refunded (unless they informed you that this may not work). There are many people working on unlocking the Sprint S5 so don't loose hope it may occur soon. You can follow them on the relevant link:-

I like in Canada and i'm with TELUS... anyway i bought this phone on ebay and it was 150 dollars great deal... I have always just bough an unlock key without issue but i guess this model i535 is different ( damn you verizon)/
I just want to unlock it so i will be able to use my local Telus...
the phone is running 4.42 and kernel 3.4.0
if someone could please let me know the EASEIST way to unlock this - I have never rooted a phone before but have to learn some how! is there no other way to unlock this than rooted it?

It should be sim unlocked out of the box. Have you stuck a sim in the phone and tried to add Telus APNs?
The only root exploit available for the VRUDNE1 4.4.2 OTA is to use Towelroot. There is no bootloader unlock available for this OTA which means there is no chance for AOSP nor downgrading the firmware to anything prior to 4.4.2. Safestrap is available but you would only be able to dual boot another VRUDNE1 based rom, nothing else.

Of course it didn't, the sim card would belong to the previous owners phone number etc. You need a sim from your carrier with your info, phone number etc. See my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=58582227

If you still got tracphone call them they will unlock it. If not a paid service is more than likely the route you will have to take. I've had tracfone unlock devices for me before

I don't think I can call tracfone directly from my country. The phone was a gift from a friend. And I can't get in touch with her. Do you have any idea what will be required of me if I can contact tracfone?

To cantact them for unlock you normally have to have active service through them. I would double check to make sure the device is even capable of being on your network. I have a Verizon j3 2018 and its unlocked but does not support the frequencies of the other carriers in my area
