While using my headphones, whenever I try to cycle between apps, for ex- Chrome to MX player, or Jet Audio, Google Voice Search pops up.
Any solution to this problem?
Hi,
I had the same problem. I don't think it is related to cycleing between apps. It just looked like the Moto G was triggering headphone control commands by itsself sometimes when the headphones are connected. (so sometimes it would automatically pause the music. Sometimes google voice search would pop up).
I didn't really find a fix for it. Tough it has been a long time since this happened to me. I'm running the v176 firmware lately.
For you reference, there is a thread on the official moto g forum about this: https://forums.motorola.com/posts/ae3b9db29a
Kind regards,

So as most people know, the spotify app for android is pretty terrible. I've been trying to get it to work as the automatic player when I start my car. I use NFC Task Launcher so it opens spotify when my car bluetooth is connected and the last problem is that spotify opens to that stupid choose your playlist menu and the play command does nothing on that screen.
Does anyone know of a way to make spotify open to a playlist so the play command works and I don't need to pull me phone out every time?
I also have similar problems. I don't care to pull my phone to start the Spotify. But the problem that I have is that it gets interrupted and distorted randomly. When this happens, I have to either wait for the music to come back or I have to push on the power button, then wait few seconds(problem is sometimes it never comes back). I don't know if it is the bluetooth of my receiver or N4 in general, because I had my n4 rma'd and still same problem with the new one. I didn't have any bluetooth problems with my gs3 at all. I have a clarion cx501 on my car, any input to solve this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I can't seem to shake this issue despite trying a few different ROMs, though I didn't have this on stock, so I'm hoping someone can venture a guess as to what the source of the problem is. I haven't found any solutions through exhaustive searching, and I don't even see anyone with a similar problem.
Whenever the headset is plugged in, I get music and video files playing through the headset just fine, but as soon as I press the Google Search button (to go to Google Search, with the option for voice search and all) whatever sound was playing goes straight out the speaker until I close it or actually complete a search, sending to the browser. I've had this happen a few times in public, loudly disrupting everyone around me.
I'm using CM 11, 0224 nightly
I've disabled voice playback on the search app, but to no avail.
Does anyone have any idea how to correct this?
(Oh, and if someone can inform me how I can get my ringtone to go through my headset instead of speakers, or if I can't, which ROM can let me do that, that would be super great)
Please help me. :crying:
Motorola Moto G 16GB, updated to 4.4.2.
HELP MY EARS!! Most notably when using earphones, I get horrible hissing, static hissing whenever I open an app that outputs sound. Even with something like Google Voice Search popping up and playing the dum-dum sound. This happens even when I turn the volume down to 0. I've gone into Sound settings, disabled Motorola's EQ, put all other volumes (notification etc) to 0 as well but nothing has helped. As soon as the app stops outputting volume after a second or so delay, the hissing goes away. For example when a YouTube video stops playing. It's driving me nuts. Google shows that it's a common issue after the 4.4.2 update or something.
I also use the app Fine Volume Control V2 across all Android devices I use since I find the minimum volume to be too loud, even with my TF300T. Thinking this was an issue I've uninstalled said app, rebooted but alas the static hissing remains.
Don't say you can't hear it, you need some half-decent headphones/earphones to pick it up, but oh dear god it's painful. Same symptoms described in this thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2611599
Hi all,
To begin, I'm running all stock software, unrooted, etc (HTC Sense 6, Android 5.0.1). I've been having a problem every time I stream music to my phone, and I can't find any relevant information or fixes regarding this. Basically, when I stream either through Pandora or Google Play, my phone starts to act real wacky. It lags when switching between apps, when trying to text (either through Textra or the stock app), or even just trying to navigate through the menus of said streaming program. It sometimes seems like it's misreading where I tap on the screen. For example, I go to hit the 'return' button, and the letter 'p' pops up. Weird things like that. I've been searching for awhile, but I can't find anything pertaining to this sort of thing. Anyone have any ideas? I would assume a phone of this caliber is more than capable of running a few programs at the same time. Thanks in advance!

Are you in the habit of streaming music with the charger plugged in? I sometimes get wonky behaviour when using it plugged in but but necessary when streaming music via Google play

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I've experimented with that actually, but I've unfortunately noticed no difference.
Greetings all!
I'm having a strange phenomenon when listening to music on my Pixel from Google Play Music (untested in other apps as I have all-access)... my music will randomly stop/pause. The app and persistent notification show the icon as if it's still playing (not paused or stopped) but there is no sound, seconds do not advance, never gets to the next song, etc. It's worth noting perhaps that this seems to happen towards the end of a song, for instance when there's maybe 20-30 seconds of the song left. I feel like it has something to do with whenever it might start to preload or buffer the next song in queue??
After I give the app a fresh restart it seems to work fine for a while.. anywhere from 15 minutes to hours. There seems to be no pattern that I can tell. The only other thing I'm thinking is that maybe an app I'm using is for some reason causing a glitch but I really only use like Facebook, Gmail, texting, calling, and a time clock app. I've never had problems until I got the pixel so it definitely seems somewhat device-specific.
It does this when listening to music thru BT or with headphones plugged in.
The quickest way I can fix this is to manually press Pause in Play Music persistent notification, and then swipe it away, press the Square and Clear All. With headphones I can just re-open Play Music and press play.. on BT I have to cycle BT off/on (I think, I actually don't think I've ever tried it without cycling BT), then re-open Play Music... Sometimes it will automatically continue where it left off when I re-open the app, other times I have to manually press play again. You can imagine this being quite annoying and potentially dangerous as it usually happens when I'm using BT in my car while driving.
I've tried clearing the cache, clearing data, and even a full wipe. I'm using Pure Nexus ROM currently, but had the same problem when trying Resurrection Remix. I have literally never used the stock OS, I rooted it the day I got it and installed unofficial Lineage... I don't recall having this problem in LOS but I only used it for a few days before trying PN, RR, and then back to PN.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Or does anyone have some potential ideas to fix the problem?
Mine does the same thing the fix for me is not use Google play music. Play music has done this no matter what ROM I was on
