How can I disable HTC Facebook notification? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Started getting this on my M7 after rooting and now the same thing is happening on my M8. Don't think it has anything to do with rooting and more of coincidence, but anyone know how to disable that other than the obvious of allowing the permission.

You should be able to freeze that setting using titanium backup. I froze it and haven't had any problems.

This is a Sense setting under BlinkFeed that you can turn off social media connectors. At least on Sense 5, so correct me if I'm wrong.
Screenshot attached of where they *would've* been, I root uninstalled the plugins.
Hopefully this helps,

Thanks for the update....how did u get them to display like your screenshot? I didnt find a particular section that said this but had to search each app one by one. Not a bad thing but if im not setup like I should be i would like to make that change.. Again, thank you
No special config, it was just a tile off to the side of the free app of the day that most probably don't look at.

What ROM are you running? I just wiped my whole phone and reflashed a new nightly because this was happening to me. It's driving me crazy but I'm so glad it's not just me. Dying to know what it is. I rely on navigation quite a bit.
I'm on Cataclysm but I've never seen it before until today? Maybe it's a google server issue?

G+ Finger Print Scanner?

So ever since the 4.4.4 update my phone has been chewing through battery life. I decided to monitor my wake locks and battery usage and have found my issue. I guess there's a finger print scanner on my ultra.?

fingerprint_scanner_local (com.google.android.apps.plus.Google+) - Seems to be Google+ related. Try disabling or uninstalling Google+ app to see if that helps. From my understanding, Google+ is a resource hog.
Its probably reading some kind of hash that identifies your device and failing miserably.

Google Chrome Pop-Up Window

Is anyone else seeing this pop-up window instead of the normal one when using Google Chrome? Seems like this started happening after the recent Chrome update. Tried removing and reinstalling it but same result.

Check this:

There's a workaround that might work with your ROM in reply #36.
I saw that work around but I don't want to run Xposed. Fortunately, I have a back up copy of an older version of Chrome and reverted back to it. Maybe the next few updates will provide a proper fix for this.
