I can see various threads for different American providers, but why no Sim Free or standard m8 thread?
You're not looking hard enough. There is one that just says 'HTC One M8' -- that's what you're looking for.

I haven't seen any other posts on this for the g2 so here 'goes.
Has anyone found a dual sim adapter that works with the g2? I was thinking about trying the one for iphone4 that's a microsim adapter, and just use one of those micro sim to regular sim adapters with it, has anyone else tried this, or just found one that works with this phone? I know there's a few chinese manufacturing sites that you can specify what you want and they'll make it for you.
i'm more so curious as to why you would want 2 sims in a phone?
I've got a sim for work and a personal sim, it'd be nice if I could have them both in the same phone, alot of ppl have dual sims in their phone.
Didn't know u can have two sims in a phone.. any updated info?

some people also move around a lot from country to country, so dual sim would be useful

Yes there are a few phones with dual sims, but they are also dual line.....I haven't seem one in avery long time though. I'm talking back in the days when a BB77XX series was the hottest thing in town.....
I have no clue whether these work. Found 'em when I was searching for a dual sim setup.

anybody tried it?
Simore dual SIM card adapter is compatible with all mobile phone operators and all SIM and USIM platforms (prepaid and subscription).

Taken from the page you provided. Might be that they are compatible, but I wouldn't put my trust in any company whose domain name ends with .ch
I implore you to reconsider.

I gladly reconsidered. At first I though .ch was Chile (FYI Chile is .cl and China is .cn)
If you search online you'll see that simore have a really, really bad reputation for both the product and the customer service. I've used www.magic-sim.com a few times with excellent results

I've seen some chinese made phones that have two SIM slots, it's mainly used when traveling between mainland china and hong kong, I can't see much use for it elsewhere as the geography would be so great you typically would just swap out the SIM card.
I'm considering buying the AT&T HTC One X, but I'm moving to China soon. Will I be able to carrier unlock this in some way in the next month so I can use it on, for instance, China Mobile? And if so, will I be able to take advantage of 3G?
Sorry about the noob question! I tried searching all over here and Google first but couldn't find any answers.
So far I haven't actually had much luck. I tried with cellunlocker.net and they tried multiple databases and had to refund my money.
So, hopefully a sim unlock is available via other unlockers or soon.
International one x doesn't work in china?

Bootloader is still locked. AT&T wont unlock it not yet proabaly soon. Planning to use this for Tmobile as well.
How familiar with china are you? China has their own kind of cdma and I don't know if they even have gsm carriers there. You'll need to see what kind of carrier you'll be using over there, and no there is no way to carrier unlock the one x nor will there be anytime soon.

What he said.
A friend of mine wants to purchase is looking for some information on the HTC One S sold by T-Mobile in the US. According to his email he wants to know the "Product Reference Number" for the One S sold in the USA by T-Mobile. From what I understand he is trying to figure out if the T-Mobile USA version will run HDPA+ and is compatible with Euro frequencies... Then there is the whole S4 vs. S3 fiasco from HTC...
Here are the codes for the S4 version in Europe if that help.

That's a useful answer... Are you usually that helpful or is this just this special time of the month?
Yes, I could try to call T-Mobile, but when was the last time you call any US Mobile Operator and got a satisfactory answer to a question, especially a question like this one? (my last time was when Craig McCaw was still running the business and he had people who both cared and were knowledgeable who answered the phone - but again, you probably don't know who McCaw is).
I did search online and neither of these part numbers brought any specific information. If you can point me to any specific information or resources online I'd be happy to go look.
I could always go to a T-Mobile store that's true, but then, what's this forum for?
Hi, I live outside the US and I'm planning to purchase a HTC One X+ 64GB (AT&T). Is it possible to activate this device outside the US without an AT&T sim? And to unlock it later to use it with another carrier outside the US? Thanks a lot.:fingers-crossed:

How did you miss the sticky..
As mentioned, this forum is only for the One X (dual core version), and the X+ is a completely different device, hardware wise. You'll likely find a better answer in the proper forum.
But while I'm not 100% on this, I think the AT&T activation process is just to get the phone working on their network and the correct AT&T account. I don't think its required to power on the device. You should be able to turn it on just fine, insert another carrier's SIM, and enter in the proper SIM unlock code.
Buying AT&T devices for use overseas seems to be somewhat common on here. So perhaps somebody can chime in with some first-hand experience.
With that said thread closed.
