Hi,
I have got a Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and installed the "Junos Pulse for Samsung" and started an IPsec-VPN, which is connected after a few seconds. Now I try to connect our citrix servers through this VPN, but nothing happens.
All traffic is going to the internet directly and ignores the vpn-connection.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

Hey so I rooted my Nexus 5 recently and pretty soon after I noticed that I can't connect to my main computer on my LAN. I use apps like airdroid and it refuses to connect over LAN mode and goes to remote mode. If I use terminal and busybox to send out pings, I can ping my router, along with most other devices on the LAN, but just not this computer. Firewall is turned off for testing purposes. I use apps like XBMC remote almost daily so this is become sort of a nuisance. I had a Galaxy Nexus before and it didn't have any of these problems. Any ideas?
I dug out my Galaxy Nexus and tried it again. Same issues. So I'm chalking this up as more of a network issue than a device issue. Still, anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
Sorry for the triple post guys. I solved the problem though. Turns out it was just my ****ty Telus all-in-one router acting up and was refusing to forward packets to my computer. Rebooted it and all is good again. Suppose this thread can be closed if that's something you guys do here.
Hello, Norwegian here. I just downloaded the latest update from my carrier, Telenor. The current version is now "G930FXXU1BPLB/G930FNEE1BPK1/G930FXXU1BPJJ".
Now suddenly my phone can't connect to my local web server or file shares (SMB sharing in programs that I use for backup phone etc). The servers are on the same subnet as my Wifi and it works fine on other devices like my laptop and my Samsung Galaxy Tab A.. Example http://10.0.0.59/ , a webcam, wont work anymore. Chrome browser says ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE.
Do anybody have a clue what this is?
I bought a straight talk Samsung galaxy j7 sky pro and can't find the hotspot if it even has one. So I installed a hotspot from the Google play store and it says I have to root before it can be used with this phone. Can someone please tell me what that is and how to fo it? I tried looking it up on Google but I couldn't make heads or tails of it.
This works
I have this phone for straight talk and i use PDAnet for android. If you have a laptop with hotspot capabilities, you can use PDAnet on there for a USB tether. The other alternative that might work for you ( did not work for me due to some dumb error) is FoxFi. FoxFi is compatible with PDAnet too. You can use a Bluetooth connection too for some devices.
Hope it works!
What does it matter what "hotspot" capabilities you have on any other device other than a standard wifi connection? And pdanet is used on the pc or other device? What exactly turns wifi hotspot feature on on this phone according to your solution?
So I was able to connect my windows laptop to the network but not my other android phone. I have PdaNet installed on it too. So if anyone has any tips on how to get android to Android to work with this phone pls advise. I'm using the j7 Sky Pro for straight talk

I also have a J7 sky pro and have noticed when trying to connect to a pdanet hot spot (using wifi direct hotspot on another device and connecting to it with the J7) that some devices have communication issues that are hit or miss. My wife has the galaxy note 9. When hers is used as the wifi direct hot spot it will connect to the network using WPS but pdanet bugs out or something. After wps process finishes it says "WPS complete, Waiting for wifi connection. It remains stalled out there. However I did manage to get it to sucessfully connect to it ONCE (1 out of about 400 attempts) I did manage to get it to connect outside of pdanet for internet connection by using the wifi connection settings and connecting to the network there but also hit the advanced options and then set the proxy to manual then used 192.168.49.1 as the proxy address & port 8000. that allowed me to gain internet with the j7. As i said though it so far has just been with the Note 9. A friend with an S9 set his up and I could connect to it just fine. So I don't know if it is pdanet actually nerking out and having issues or if it is the communication between the devices. If you are trying to use your J7 as the hotspot set it up as wifi direct instead of the foxfi hotspot then use connect to pdanet hotspot from the other device to connect to the the J7
hi....I don't know where to post this, but I need help.
up until 3 days ago, I had no problem using my VPN through Google wifi. worked beautifully.
however, for the least 3 days, I cannot get connected. I've tried both on my android phone (Galaxy note 8) and my android tablet (Galaxy tab a; both android v9). spent an hour+ with VPN support, then realized that I COULD get connected on phone if I turned Google wifi off (just used phone data). i still can't get connect with tablet, which is only wifi.
for some reason, Google wifi is blocking the VPN connection (recent update?). why? and more importantly, how do i fix it?
thank you!
Hi!
I bought my Samsung A20e phone before 1 month. I work remotely through VPN, so my phone is very important for my work. I configured my work VPN on my Samsung phone through Settings->Connections->More connection settings->VPN and it used to connect successfully. But these days it keeps failing with the status 'Unsuccessful', it does not connect anymore. While I use the same VPN (with the same configuration) on a Xiaomi Redmi phone and on my HP computer.
Please has anybody of you faced this problem? Can you suggest any solution?
With respect,
Megi
