[How to] Enable particle and water effect and grid settings of 2014 edition - Galaxy Note 10.1 Themes and Apps

hi guys
i have a s4 and i activated particle effect of s5 by this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2702528
guess what i did the same steps on our note 10.1 N8000 and it works
i found another hidden features
if you change the lockscreen_ripple_effect to 4 ,you will get water effect locksceen of note 3
and to get grid settings of note 10.1 (2014 edition)
search for settings_listui and change it to 0
then search for settings_gridui and change it to 1
you will make your settings app looks like the one of 2014 edition
working only on rooted leaked kitkat
thanks to Djimmy for enabling particle effect

Sir.can you share me how to add icon in the lockscreen?

Same to me..I use the Eric mod in leak firmware..only clock when I open lock screen widget.

It works perfectly. Only thing is, locksscreen particle doesn't stick after reboot. I have to do it manually again. In SQL editor, it just revert to value 0 after reboot. Other settings stick, thought.
How to solve this, any idea?

More Lockscreen Options !!
So after opening SQLite Editor and changing the lockscreen effect to 3, I decided to try more options, and it turns out there are options up to 7..
I'm gonna write which is which :
If you change it to 0, you get the original circle lockscreen.
If you change it to 1, you get the water ripple effect..
if you change it to 2, you get the lens flare effect.
If you change it to 3, you get the particle effect.
If you change it to 4, you get the N3 water effect.
If you change it to 5, you get an Xperia-like effect.
If you change it to 6, you get something like the circle lockscreen, but with a line.
If you change it to 7, you get something that's a mixture between original circle lock and ripple lockscreen.
And DONT GO after 7, you'll get a constant systemui FC, I had to find that out the hard way

Page transitions for AOKP ROMS...

Hi everyone,
I am using AOKP ROM build 40 and I want to change page transitions or app opening transitions....
Please can anyone help me with this....I had seen some really cool transition animations like the dialog box popping from the bottom in one of my friends SG ACE ROM....
Thanks

I just use GO Launcher as my default launcher and use the animations/transitions from there. So many to choose from and for different scenarios too.
Personally, I set all my "effects" to Random. That way every time I switch home screens or enter the app drawer, it's different!

I am asking for animations which are for built in things...like the dialog box for everything or any app opening....I figured out that it can be done by editing anim folder in Res folder of framework.apk....but still I need someone to give me some some animations which are in XML format so that I can edit the apk....

[HIDDEN MENU] 5 lockscreen Shortcuts

Hi all,
i know that it gives a thread about the Hidden Torch menu, so i thought i test a little bit for some others.
I tested a lot with the shortcut Maker and found a link to a Setting Menu where u can set 5 App Shortcuts direct to the lockscreen like in other FWs befor.
the string is under Settings:
com.android.settings/com.android.settings.lockscreenshortcut.LockScreen SchortcutSettings
In this Menu u can manage 5 Apps which u want on the bottom of the lockscreen. This functionwas given in other FWs before, so i thought someone will use it when he knows that it is given in the FW now
Isnt this already in the firmware.. it is already enenbled on tmo s4

Ok this part of the Menu is missing in my FW DBT.
So i think the DBT is the problem that this menu point is missing, in the past it was missing to in other FWs for Galaxy S2 DBT versions.
i have it from day one in every firm i tried

Then is the question "why is this menu missing in the DBT XXUBMF8 SuperSlim?" I think not that it is missing cause an app was removed, cause thats are system Settings which are not handeled over an app.
And i heard that im not the only one where this menu is missing, its a little bit strange...
I have DBT too and mine is also missing, kinda annoying...
maybe because i have 9500 ?

U must get a app like QuickShortCutMaker
In this app u must search under Settings for this point:
com.android.settings
/com.android.settings.lockscreenshortcut.LockScreenSchortcutSettings
thats the menu you need.

This worked! I had these same problems with a number of DBM firmwares, this worked perfectly on first official 4.3 release.
Thank you very much.
@OP
I thought the shortcut options for the lockscreen (in the standard lockscreen settings menu) were varied depending on the type of unlock method you used. If you only unlock by swiping, you had more widget/shortcut options available, but if you had a tighter lockscreen security then you don't have so many options.
I use a pattern unlock and the options disappear for me because of my unlock method.
I'll try your guide and see if I can add shortcuts without changing my lockscreen security type.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: I tried the shortcut you posted, it does bring up that settings screen regardless of what type of lockscreen you're using, but with my pattern lockscreen it still doesn't show the shortcuts on there. When I set my lockscreen type to swipe, the app shortcuts appear on the lockscreen, and so does the menu option in the standard settings menu to select/change the apps, as per your shortcut to this screen.

Hi there, thanks for the question.
First of all you need the latest wanam xposed:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/ma.wanam.xposed
So after installation just enable it in you xposed framework and then do a full reboot.
As the phone boots then use wanam to your liking, just to be clear after every change you make do a soft reboot.
Hope this helps. Indeed please say thanks.:good:
Using Note 3 SM-N9005, KitKat 4.4.2.

So what are all your xposed modules?
You may have an module conflicting if indeed you have more then just wanam.

Sure!
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime with glasklart icon pack. I have set the dpi of the overall phone (editing build.prop) to 400, the weather widget is Accuweather platinum widget (maybe the free version is the same widget I don't know) and finally the ram bar is clean master's widget.

In G3 Tweaksbox you can enable the status bar brightness slider under Theme > Status Bar > Enable Status Bar sliding (@ bottom of menu)
Note this isn't a slider in the drop down. You touch the status bar without dragging down and slide to change brightness.

I know, but thats more of a hassle, and I would rather have the slider. Maybe tweaks box will have that feature added to it.
As stated above, only way to get this functionality (somewhat) is to use G3 Tweakbox Xposed module on rooted phone. However this module only gives you ability to change brightness while sliding/dragging your finger on notification bar. Its not what you are looking for but serves the purpose just fine.
However I forgot if this option was enabled in free version of G3 Tweakbox or not. You would have to check yourself since I have already unlocked the premium version so can't go back to verify.

Holy cow....ATT and their typical bull****. First the bloatware now this.
It makes absolutely no sense for them to remove such a useful feature. This reminds me of when ATT removed the mobile data toggle on the S4.
Either way, I hope someone will figure out how to add this feature back.
Did you guys try to tap the edit icon in the list of icons in the status bar? In there you can select the toggles you want in the status bar as well as enable volume and brightness Sliders.
