Factory reset - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Hey guys
I seem to have goofed up trying to enable power save mode. I'm still on stock and s-off/root. Can I just go into the bootloader mode and do a factory reset?

Or there is a pure stock twrp backup available you can download an place in twrp backup directory if you can still boot android. I would just flash Ruu myself.

I went ahead and just flashed a stock rooted rom. Basically I had managed to corrupt the secure.db when I was trying to enable the power save mode.

[Q] Unrooting n8013

Hi,
So I'm new interms of Andriod and rooting, but have had an account for sometime. I just recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (n8013). I rooted it with the second method seen here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1831152
On the website that the OP listed to go to, it has a unrooting file that is named n8000_stockrecovery. My problem is that he said use the PDA part of Odin with that to unroot it. However, since I have a n8013 do I use that file or a different one to unroot it?
Thanks,
renn
Just download the tar file for your device from samfirmware. Com and use that with odin.

Yea, just save the file somewhere youll be able to find it easily. I just move it from the browser and drag and drop it to my desktop andfrom there move it to a folder i have on my desktop i named rootnote10.1 then just open odin and go to the pda spot and browse for the file in that folder and you should see the tar file. Make sure only auto reboot is checked in odin, make your tablet go into download mode and plug it into your pc and hit start after it recognizes it. It'll take a while to boot up initially so be patient. But if it takes more than 10 minutes id just boot into recovery mode and do a full wipe. I had to do that and it was fine after that.

[Q] Powersaver quick settings toggle

Now that we can use powersaver by turning off the hide powersave function. Is there someway that we can have a powersave quick settings button to toggle it on and off? It appears that this exists on other versions of the phone, but as the original option was hidden I'm guessing this is too. After looking at the quick settings buttons it appears that the toggles are given a numeric id, ie 0 is user card and 2 is wifi. Does anyone know the id for powersave or if we can even enable this toggle. Thanks very much in advance for any help.

Ya we got the shaft again... If you look at other variants they have several toggles that we don't have. I want the screenshot toggle like the AT&T version has!

When I enabled the external SD card, I first had to install the insecure kernel to remove built in write protection, then edit the platform.XML to add permission for apps to write to the SD card. Otherwise, it undoes the edit on boot. Where did you find the setting for the toggle??

I hope kernal works as I need the screenshot one an some others I found were nice. Like music playlist tile was another cool one. An it lets you put mutple of the same tiles too which would be good for playlist tile.

Updates from SD card?
Phone is an Alcatel One Touch Pop Icon (A564C) though.
Like official updates, or if anyone ever figures it out you could get root by flashing a zip using the stock recovery. But that would have to be specifically made to work with the stock recovery.

Idk what he's linking. Pretty sure it's a supersu.zip or something...
Will what he's suggesting have a high chance of bricking my device?
It might but I don't understand why it's flagged or why he's making mirror links to what is the easiest to find rooting file on the Internet. Will it brick? Probably not, it most likely won't even flash successfully.

Renamed zip to update.zip but it wouldn't show up in stock recovery...is it supposed to be in a specific location? Tried with it in internal memory as well as onsd card...
While in recovery ended up on a screen with android laying down on back with a triangle with exclamation point...what exactly does that mean?
