where can i find apps for the gear 2 - Samsung Gear 2

I have a problem, the Samsung app store is region locked where i live. no matter what I tried I can't seem to get in to it to download apps.
With the first gear i could just download the apps and install the APKs.
any help on how to bypass the region lock on the store or get the apps any other way would be appreciated.

Gear manager immediate force close

I can't find anything on this.
So I'm trying to pair my Galaxy S5 with the Gear2 - it can see the Gear 2 on bluetooth, but there's no prompt to pair.
Gear Manager pops up an error message very quickly and force closes.
I don't particularly want to have to sign up with a samsung account and/or use their app store on my phone - is there any way around this?

i believe you need to have a Samsung app store account. how else will you have access to the thousands of great apps for the Gear 2 without one... lol, but seriously, no account no acess. there are few (if any) apps in android play store. Gear 2 runs on tizen, not Android.
as for the F/C, try uninstalling everything and try again. my Gear 2 paired up with my Note 3 right away.

I found a version of Gear manager as an apk download that runs, but you're right - what you can do with it is highly restricted.
I'm a little more privacy-aware than most android users, and as a result I'm probably not going to use the device much if it's locked to a corporate app store.

The apps download to your phone which transfers them to your watch. The only possible apps I can think of that might expose your watch data are fitness apps that transfer your stats back to the phone. Watch faces, games, etc. don't share any data but still, the only way to get them is through the Samsung App Store.

How do you install Tizen apps from non Samsung phone?

I am gonna secure one today from BB. I looked at google play and cannot find a Tizen app that communicates with S2. Samsung phones have a gear app that will communicate with their watches. I looked up Samsung.com and could not find info.
How does one install tizen apps on Gear S2 watch? from the watch itself?
You will need to download the Samsung Gear app.

I'm using an LG G3 and I had to install the Gear Manager app from the Play Store.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.app.watchmanager
Once I connected my watch it prompted me to install a couple other plug ins and sign in to Samsung, but it wasn't confusing to get it going.
I have a Padfone S and the store won't let me install it. I had to download the APK from another APK repository to install it. Seems to work OK so I don't see why they won't let me download the app from the Play Store.

Sideload Apps to Gear S2

Is there a way to sideload apps to the watch. As i don't have all the apps is the gear store. it seems there are regional restrictions
Do You have any app You want to install in file?
Because there is this app - Filesmaster - which will let You upload any file to the GearS2 and view it in the smartwatch (not sure about installer though).
Yes you can with sdb.

hi,
I have found just one watchface that fit well on GearS2.
it's deskclock (present for free on the store)
you can download here :
http://gearfaces.com/?p=13645
you can sideload it with sdb. but before I think you must obtain a certificate file for your watch from samsung
I have a question about possibly plausible.. I have a Samsung gear s2. Bought it to access Google play.. is there a way to get Google play on the watch?

Galaxy store listing update to apps from Play Store

Hi,
I tried searching but did not find anything related to this so apologies if I missed it. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if maybe I have an issue.
I have apps that I specifically installed from Google Play store, one being Zoom, that appeared as updates that need to be done in the Galaxy store. Play store says everything is up to date. So, when checking the Galaxy store, these apps do not appear in the list of "my apps" but are on the available update list. I updated Zoom using the Galaxy Store update and it then became a Galaxy store app not a Play App.
I don't use Galaxy store for anything other than the updates to the Samsung apps. At first, I considered that this could be a Samsung specific update but I don't think that makes much sense. Is this a way that they are trying to convert use to their app store?
Thanks!

Question Samsung App Update cant open

Hello, when I try to press the Samsung apps update on the clock under Settings apps, it says the so is not available or is not possible in my region or clock. Got the DBT Version.
The question is whether it is coincidence or because I installed blood pressure and ekg via ADB.
Has anyone done this and can access the Galaxy Store app?
I was able to update Samsung Health and I have the modified Samsung Health Monitor installed via adb (40mm, BT modell).
hi, I have now set the clock to factory settings.and the Samsung Update App still does not start.
It say with watch or Location is not supportet.
How can i update the s health app without store?
