My phone is stuck in bootloop after installing a rom incorrectly. Would be a simple fix through recovery but the bootloader is stuck trying to install a HBOOT update that has been left on the SD card. Any advice would be appreciated.
Edit: Removed update zip off my SD card. Rookie mistake.

Hello I've just s-off'd, installed clockwork recovery and rooted my phone, set the supercid.
I was following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1471941
I have put the PG58IMG.zip, radio file, super wipe and Android revolution ROM files all onto the root of my SD card. I rebooted into Hboot mode and it asked if I wanted to install the update which I said yes to.
Now every time I try to boot the phone it gets to the HTC quietly brilliant logo and then just restarts itself. I can get into HBOOT mode where it just asks me to install the update again.
Can anyone help please?
You have to remove the firmware PG58IMG.zip file from your SD or it will attempt to update everytime you launch the bootloader
just remove your sd card when you boot then after it boots you in hboot put your sd card back in and go to recovery and remove the file
Ok. I followed these steps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466436 I got to the step and put chinese boot.img onto SD card by creating a root folder and I flashed my phone after rebooting it again...
1) stock ROM is still on there (maybe). tried flashing kernel using All-in-One-Kit and flash your recovery and still not getting anywhere.
Well this would not have happened if I did not forget to flash first before rebooting
help much appreciated? :crying:
Hi all,
yesterday I came across the question how to update radio without a card reader.
My problem: I put PG88IMG.zip into the root folder of my SD card and reboot into boot loader. PG88IMG is detected and my radio is updated. Now the only option I get is to reboot the phone. But the phone gets stuck in a boot loop, since I have to clean cache&dalvik.
But how to do that now, since I cannot enter recovery (bootloader wants to flash PG88IMG again). What I do in this case: Pull battery, remove SD card, deleted PG88IMG in a card reader, put the SD card back and enter recovery to wipe cache&dalvik.
Is there a better way to do this without pulling the battery and removing SD card?
Thanks for any tipps

Try running "adb reboot recovery", assuming you can get an adb connection during the boot loop.

Okay, let me tell you how I soft bricked (Atl east I think its a soft bricked)
It all starts out with me unlocking my bootloader with htcdev, flashing a recovery on it, then putting superuser.
I wanted to install CM 10.1. I don't have s-off, so I read up on how to do it with the procedure of fastboot flash boot boot.img. I put the zip file on ym sdcard and I went into 4ext, wiped cache and dalvik factory reset , and formated system. I rebooted into bootloader and flashed the boot.img. Rebooting it, it got stuck on black screen. With a little research, i found out my hboot probably did not support the jellybean (cm) I was flashing onto it. So I download a gingerbread rom and used the boot.img of that to try and fixed it, it went into a bootloop. Later on after trying this again, it softbricked (Stuck on htc screen). I tried to install another rom onto it , GizRoot. Its a gingerbread rom. It did not help whatsoever.... Anyone can help me with this?
I tried installing Viper ROM tonight and something went wrong and now each time I restart I get a system UI error. I can boot the phone into recovery but TWRP now won't recognize my SD card so I can't flash a new ROM on my SD card. I can get into the bootloader but I can't ADP so I don't know how to push a file to the main memory. Can anyone help? I am kind of freaking out.
Thanks.
Edit: I think I may have fixed it. Seems my SD card got corrupted and I had to reformat it and I was able to copy a ROM to it. Flashing it again now. I hope it works.
