[Q] LCD issues with Sense - HTC Sensation

So I have an HTC Sensation in possession that had a broken digitizer. Replaced the Digi and LCD but the LCD won't turn on when the phone does. I've taken the phone apart numerous times, inspecting everything very closely. No connecter ribbons show any damage, the motherboard of the phone doesnt show any damage and i put everything back together just as it was when I initially took the phone apart.
Note that the old LCD did work before taking it apart, and I have even tried putting it back to to try with no luck what so ever.
I hope someone can shed some light on this situation, as I've had this phone in my possession for over a week now and I haven't been able to get it back up and running.
update: phone only powers on when plugged in. ugh.
thank you.

[Q] Question, attempted to repair my phone

Hello, posting here to report that I attempted to repair my HTC sensation, though I didn't really break anything and taking it apart when kinda smoothly I ended up putting the phone back together somewhat was more difficult than I thought it would be. Question here is that the phone turns on but the LCD isn't working still. I had to replace both LCD and digitizer...it vibrates to turn on but nothing could it be that I may have not secured a cable tight enough?

Help - water damaged - touch screen doesn't work

I have searched for similar issues, nothing posted. My phone went swimming with me the other day, DOH!
I have thoroughly dried the unit in rice/dehydration powder (works REALLY well by the way). Unit is completely dry, boots up, recognizes sdcard, radios work etc.
Unfortunately the touch screen doesn't work. I have read that the unit may simply need to be recalibrated. I have carefully disassembled the unit cleaned and checked all leads etc. The unit again reboots, everything works but touch screen.
I am thinking about odin new image to see if it recalibrates screen solves problem, any thoughts advice etc?
Might have to replace the lcd

A friend if mine experienced the same problem. And now none of the speakers work nor does Bluetooth. Phone is also going in to safe mode quite often. Is it fixable? I've repaired plenty of iPhones, and did remove the back to try to disconnect and reconnect the flex cables to see if that would work but to no avail.

Did you trip the water sensor? I had a similar issue, did not trip the sensor though. I tried some of the recal methods, not sure off the top of my head but i think you have to hold your finger for a certain amount of time in one of the corner, I am sure someone will know how to do it.
However what I ended up needing to do since the re-cal didnt work. I bought a usb otg adapter to connect a mouse to my phone, followed the steps to return it to stock, odin, unroot, triangle away etc, and sent it back to verizon for a replacement with no problems at all.
Same issue:
Phone was soaking in my gym bag because one of my water bottles leaked. It was in there for a good 10 minutes. I took it out. Dried it and put it in rice asap. 24 hours later I take it out and it boots fine, can connect to my computer move files everything. However, the touch screen will not work. Any tips for self repair? Will leaving it in rice longer fix my issue?

[Q] Help - HTC Sensation XE Coffee damage

Hi there, I recently spilled coffee onto my aging device, and fear I may have damaged it. Though I pulled the battery and followed SOP's for drying it out, it's been drying over night, but the digitzer is completely dead, or at least, the touch screen does not work. The phone also restarted randomly once, so I have a feeling there may still my liquid, or is this more likely to be permanent damage?
As I have no intention of replacing the phone, could anyone give me any assistance for drying out or repairing the device, I bought it on ebay and there's no warranty left on it. Would you recommend I first wait longer / dry further before testing or is a dead touch screen certain death?
Thanks in advance!
Update
I have taken apart the phone after watching a video that made me realise how simple it is inside, so I've taken it apart, given it a few hours under the fan and a dessicant. Put it back together and now the digitizer works!
However the phone is still randomly switching off as if there is an electrical fault, or still liquid in there (even though I cannot see any ANYWHERE. I'm going to give it another few hours in the heating cupboard, does anyone have any recommendations or info?

[Q] Water Damaged LG G2 Works But Won't Show Image On Screen

So like the title suggests, I have a water damaged LG G2 that won't fully work. A little back-story, I went swimming one day at the pool and while I was swimming I totally forgot my phone was still in my pocket. I was only in the water for a few minutes and realized my mistake so I quickly drove home and disassembled it. I immediately soaked it in rice for a few days but unfortunately its fried so I decided to do some tests to see if i could fix it myself. I played with it for a while, scrubbed off the corrosion, replaced the battery and the phone works now but the screen wont display an image. I put in another replacement screen but to no avail so I'm assuming it has something to do with the logic board although I'm not for sure. If anyone could shed some light on what might be the problem or help me with a solution it would be greatly appreciated :good:
thanks

Well, you seem to have already done the things I would have suggested. If you've already dropped in a replacement glass/digitizer/LCD assembly and it still isn't working, then I got nothing. I'd send it in to someone to have it fixed or get a new phone. That said, I was actually replacing that assembly myself this weekend after being dumb/inebriated and having my phone fall out of my pocket, cracking the glass and digitizer. One thing I noticed that I didn't expect is that even if everything is completely assembled, if you take off the back cover and turn the phone on, the phone will boot up and respond to touch, but the screen will not turn on. Looking more closely at the back cover, there are a few contacts on there so apparently you have to have the cover on for the screen to work. You could double check to see if there might still be some corrosion on the back cover on those contacts. That's about all I got though.

Repairing Damaged Screen on OnePlus One

Around May 2016, I jumped into a pool with my OPO in my pocket. About 10 seconds afterwards I realized what I had done, and pull the phone out of my pocket. The screen wouldn't turn back on, and it started continuously buzzing. Eventually it stopped and I tried to dry it off best I could. Blowing out what water I could and stupidly purchased a bag of rice I kept it submerged in for awhile. Nothing worked of course.
Eventually I took it apart. The battery glue was so sticky, the battery started to distort as I tried to pry it away from the body of the phone. I figured at that point, it was pretty much destroyed. But I took it apart and used some alcohol to clean up some of the parts. At that point I just decided to order a new phone since I already had it for about 2 years anyway.
But now I want to get it working again to recovery some data and images.
I purchased a replacement battery, soaked the main board in alcohol, cleaned up some of the connectors, etc. Reassembled it, and to my surprise it worked again! Well, except the display. But the digitizer still worked, the capacitive buttons worked, and I could hear sound even. Seemingly everything worked but the display. I can even see the backlight come on sometimes but with no actual picture and some noticeable water marks. I was even able to fiddle around with the digitizer, unlock the phone, connect it via USB, and recover some of what I wanted. However, I was hoping to get the display working so I could recover additional data.
So I purchase a screen assembly (display, digitizer, and front body) off ebay. But same problem, I see the backlight come on sometimes, but no picture. I tried cleaning all the contacts again and re-seating them several times to ensure all connections were okay. Still, no picture on the display.
So I thought maybe I could have ended up with a bad display off eBay. So I ordered another. Still the same issue.
What could I do? Is there anything in particular I should try that might help? Is it the daughter board maybe? That might be easy enough to replace.

Since the whole thing involves water, there might be several parts which are damaged. I suggest get your device checked from a professional repair shop.
I was hoping I can learn more about what a professional repair shop might do to diagnose the problem.

Do you have multimeter and knowledge of hardware?
Just toss it away after transferring the files.
It's not worth the hassle, trust me.
I repair OnePlus One's everyday and the water-damaged ones take way too much time.

Yes, I do. I've done many laptop repairs and repaired a few smartphones in the past but never dealt with water damage like this before.

Do you have any advice as to what my next steps would be after having tried two replacement screens. Literally everything works on the phone except the screen doesn't light up. Even the digitizer works. Well I can see the backlight come on sometimes, but no pixels. I've cleaned an re-cleaned the connectors many times using 91% isopropyl alcohol.
Is there any particular resistance or continuity I can check that might indicate what component is bad? Information about the pinouts somewhere?
Maybe there's another part of XDA or another forum that goes more in-depth into smartphone repair? If anyone has any recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate it.
