Have you ever tried to patch the player with the one of the famous hack tool?
If you did so, remove the .odex files, then try again.

Morning all,
I have about 8 gig of music I would like to put on the SD card of my Xoom. What music player does everyone use to play music on the card, and how do you get the music onto the card? Is it as easy as a copy from a Windows PC where the Xoom is attached to via USB, as I seem to be having issues doing this?
Thanks,
Steve
The stock player will do just fine? Also, the xoom is recognized as any other removable usb device under Windows

Do you have USB Debugging turned on in order to make this work? I cannot seem to format the SD card from a Windows PC. Should this work too?
I failed to mention I am running Team EOS ROM 1.0 for Stingray.
Having problem updating to 1.7.31?! It comes up saying "couldn't install to USB storage or SD card" ?!?! Anyone else have this issue???? I'm running a Lenovo A8 (8" tablet) running Android 4.4.2 the MX Player Pro is in main memory as can't be moved to SD card.

Hmm. there is a configuration for it. But it is not changed for long time since most people uses Froyo.
Would you try any other app if it can be moved to sdcard?
Yes other apps have moved to SD card

"I tried moving an app to SD card and it had a problem so did the old 'switching off and on again' and it sorted out the problem and allowed me to move the app over and also update MX Player Pro so all good now"
Hi. I've recently updated my moto G with latest nighly CM13 .
With CM12 I could plug my otg usb pen drive and browse through it files with any music player. However after installing CM13 I'm not able to do it anymore.
I've set my drive to MTP or I've even formated it as "portable storage" but anything worked. How could I proceed? Is there a way to mount it as mass storage? Maybe with terminal emulator ? Any help will be extremely useful.
From what I've read today, you might need a music player that supports Android's "Storage Access Framework".

Try connecting you device through any Linux environment. Windows can't detect some file systems. If the card is detecting copy everything to pc and format to either exFat or Fat32.

If you have a TWRP recovery go to recovery and try again. TWRP will enable MTP by default
