Hi,
I just created a flashable zip, which installs the original Nexus 5 KitKat bootanimation. I enlarged it a bit and made it as big as our screen is.

I tested it on CM 11. If it doesn't work reply me.
Spoiler
It's installed to /system/media/bootanimation.zip with permissions rw-r--r-- (644) and owner/group is root (0)

Why? They are an Android 2.x thing. Since ICS Google wants that OEMs use onscreen buttons instead of physical ones.
Even on my old Galaxy Ace 2 I deactivated the physical buttons and replaced them with onscreen ones through build.prop command.
Now I got used to it and I never mind going back to these crappy buttons.

-scrolling widgets supported (laggy)
also code optimization and lots more
oh and it works on all devices with armv7 processor and at least froyo.
You can install the launcher as normal app (only if you not already have a twlauncher on your phone) or install the .zip in recovery which will push the app to /system/app/.
Normal install lacks the feature to uninstall apps (maybe more, not really tested).
See this thread where I posted more details and downloads..
Nice, working on my dhd.

First off AWESOME. I have been waiting for this for like...years? a long time lol.
One request, can you edit it for qHD OR tell me the parameters to edit? I may just jump into it myself lol.
The screen indicator is hard coded as well as the app menu.
Bla as well as widget placement is hard coded. Damn wvga xD.
Is not working on CM7
Seconding a request for qHD or 960 x 540.
Hopefully one day this will see the same kind of support for various displays that the Xperia Arc Launcher has.

I'm not a dev, but from my understanding, touching relies on certain samsung file structures which cm7 doesn't have as it's being built for aosp. I could be wrong, but I think I'm right

Gr8 job....I will try it out on both my phones.......Any other help u need???A thanks....just hit!!!!
A friend spilled water all over my phone and my capacitive buttons don't work anymore, making my captivate pretty much useless and can't get a warranty exchange coz of the water damage. Anyway, I found that the included Eyes-Free Keyboard in Gingerbread has a virtual keypad with Back,Home,Menu and Search Keys. You can toggle the Keyboard/Keypad by pressing and holding the Volume Up Key. Eyes-Free Keyboard is also in the marketplace for those that don't have it. Just thought I would post this for anyone whose capacitive buttons don't work anymore, and needs a temp workaround to get things done until they fix their phone. Enjoy

Better way is to install the ICS launcher.

Thanks ridhi. I'll try it out. I hope the ICS launcher soft keys can be used within other apps, coz the main problem about losing the capacitive buttons is that I'm not able to use the back or menu buttons that are needed when navigating through most of my day-to-day actions or apps.
You could also try flashing an ics rom and then flashing the on-screen buttons mod for the rom and those buttons can be used within other apps just like the galaxy nexus

ICS ROM with virtual on-screen buttons mod works like a charm.

Nope. Really no idea why they insist on doing that. Must be legal reasons.
Thanks you for this

Is there a way to get cyanogenmod options like having the extra settings options or swiping in the right corner to bring up quick settings screen instead of notifications without installing the cyanogenmod rom?

Not yet. You'll have to wait for CM11 nightlies or start working on your own.
I would perfer to keep the stock rom, I just want the extra menus and options like that.

Well since I saw an article about a new ZTE device (Z9) I thought why not get a taste of ZTE on our device? Because we can lol.
Following apps has been tested on G3 stock 5.0 but should run fine on aosp?
What's working
Camera
Browser
MusicPlayer
videoPlayer
Mipop
CameraMirror
Launches
FlashLight
Gallery
Calculator
What doesn't
FileManager
calendar
ZGesture
Er?
Not tested.
FMradio (seriously who use that?)
Current issues:
Launches is pretty much badly sized
Scrolling I launches is very broken as of now it will loop endlessly with a small swipe.
Music player is rather slow.

Installation instructions.
Install apps as normal apk (except browser, since it uses same name as already existing)
If not installing push to system

If you mean navigation buttons then use latest xposed and then download xstana its free but uses in app purchases. But fairly many are free however (that one I use is prime) or should I call it frime? Since I modified the package.
