So with the help of XDA I managed to unlock my Verizon HTC ReZound. I want to move to AIO. Two questions:
1. Has anyone moved a ReZound from Verizon to anything else?
2. Do I need to be rooted or just unlocked to switch carriers?
Thanks everyone!

I have no expierence with your phone but in general you shouldn't have to root to switch carriers.

I am trying to help my brother in law to unlock his sensation 4g. But he doesn't want to root the phone to use methods in Dev section. I know Samsung galaxy phones can be unlocked without rooting.
Is there any method to root HTC sensation phone without rooting?
You can always root then unlock and after that unroot

He just got it 2 months ago so T-Mobile won't give it. I will have to root unlock unroot.

I'm thinking about trading my phone for an unlocked At&t HTC Inspire, they said it was unlocked for T-Mobile and I was wondering if I will have to get it unlocked again if I root the phone.

Has anyone gotten any issues with the mobile hotspot? I am with the 5GB data plan tether and before rooting, my hotspot was working but now its not working... Funny, it works when I tether directly to computer by USB but not when phone is set to hotspot, any suggestions?

Mine works fine on stock. You using a custom rom? I know if you're on an older base and trying to use a rom based on a new base you have to flash a partitions zip to get it to work.
I am on stock Rom actually, the only 3 thugs I've done is Unlock HTC Bootloader, Root (which I removed completely), unlock phone to accept any sim... Any suggestions on how to fix it?

My mother in law has an i4g and is having a lot of lag and app fc so I want to backup everything on her phone including the Rom itself. This is due to the only way of unlocking I have found is through the dev unlock on HTC website. Didn't know if I could do an adb backup without having s-off or unlocked bootloader. Any help us appreciated.
