My notification bar is randomly poppinig up and freezing the phone. Also, time and date settings just come up randomly. You can turn off screen and back on and it unfreezes. Any ideas WTH is causing this? Stock 4.4 Maxx. Same issue with multiple launchers so I don't think that's it. Any help would be appreciated

if you are rooted try installing systemui.apk from someone else or download it from my rom on original development or if you are not rooted, reinstall the firmware again via FXZ.

reboot the phone, I get notification bar force closes occasionally... it'll either restart itself and come back or you'll have to restart the phone
I have rebooted phone a couple times and still does not come back.

using a different launcher by any chance? I know ADW and Go both have options to hide status bar which may be checked by default, also you could look at the Gummy launcher2 options and see if anything's in there
I've been getting this too since I flashed the latest gummy GBE. I'm sure it happens more than I notice. When it doesn't restart itself, I gotta reboot the phone. Also, I'm getting tons of lag. I've flashed twice already, but I think I might give it another go. Anyone have any ideas?

Lots of problems with the latest Gummy GBE. The status bar issue is minor compared to the hot boot issue. My advice is to go back to the RC until they have the problems worked out.
I'm testing the new Endless7 build and I'm having problem sliding out notifications. When I slide one notification it gets stuck some pixels at the right and then the notification system doesn't work anymore (but the phone works).
Is there a way of restarting the notification system? I've tried restarting the launcher, but that, obviously, didn't fix the thing.
The only way I found is to restart the phone
no more...
It fixed alone... don't know how but today the problem wasn't there anymore...
no, my mistake
It didn't fix it. It's just that it doesn't happens verytime but from time to time.
Does anyone has a solution that doesn't involve restarting the phone?
Install ROM Toolbox from market (needs root)
Go to "Rebooter" and "Restart status bar"
Thx!
Thanks Marius! You're THE man. You saved me countless hours of rebooting
Until Endless7 fix that bug I have to reboot my M2 every now and there
I have been using the phone for 2 days and now all of a sudden the lock screen theme with the notifications (Productivity Theme) is not working correctly. The notifications start flickering on the screen and you can not scroll through them. I have tried to reset the phone, increase the brightness and even do a factory reset but it did not fix the problem.
Anyone else experiencing this on their phone? I am not seeing any other flickering issues.
I am actually using the One S but figured its probably a sense thing so i am posting in here.
Thanks!

We haven't the faintest idea try running an RUU and consulting the One S forum.
Im just going to throw this over to the One S forums...
Only for information, i have the same problem in combination with a crashing homescreen when I use the date-overview-widget.
And it seems that we are not alone.
I have an One X and just started having the same issue as well.
Well... I am using the lockscreen wich is more or less empty but once in a while it switches over to the weather-lockscreen on it's own. After a while I can get it to go back to the one I want to use.
I would call that a bug (non intrusive or otherwise non fatal mind you)
Hello! I'm running KK 4.4, rooted and unlocked. I recently had installed a couple of mods, most notably this mod to give me a battery percentage number. Well I installed the back-to-stock files provided by those developers in anticipation of installing Xposed. But inbetween, I noticed that my notification drawer didn't have a complete gray bar across the top (see screenshot, and picture of what it should look like).
After installing Xposed and GravityBox for KK, I tried using the notification drawer color fill option to see if that would correct or override it, but that completely filled the drawer, hiding everything in it. I could still click buttons, but could not see them. So I reversed that, but still have the gap in the bar. Edit: Seems I had to choose "underlay" as an option for the color fill, so it's unrelated/not an issue as far as that goes.
It seems like a minor thing, but given how the color fill reacted in addition to now having this gap, I'm worried that there may be other issues I could run into. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on how I could fix this, hopefully without reinstalling the OS?
Edit: Attached another screenshot better illustrating what's happening.
I'm having the same issues running franco kernel. Any help would be appreciated. Dirty flash does nothing for me.
EDIT: I was able to solve this by flashing this battery percent mod, you might want to give it a try:

Thanks, but I just came back to say that I completely wiped the phone and put a stock ROM back on.
Hello, i recently bought an Idol 3 5.5 and so far im very happy except for one thing: the notification light keeps always on, i tried everything (disable all notifications, reformatting the phone, uninstall all non stock apps, etc.) and the problem persists, the led is always on unless i turn the phone off.
The recent ota updates didn't fix anything, so if anyone had this same problem or know of any possible solution please share it, i wouldn't like spending one month without my phone while it's serviced.
Thanks.

Did you try toggling notifications on and off again? This is not a subtle IT Crowd joke, it's something that has actually worked for me with another setting on this phone.
