Morning all, there were about 4 open threads where I could have added this but I thought of the significance it deserved a new thread.
I will reference all the threads I have used to obtain the info from at the end for reference.
So, I was running a pre rooted stock 4.2.2 MH1 without any knox.
Decided to go to 4.4.2 and followed the knox free method for nc5 with mobile odin. It flashed the rom but wouldn't do the bootloader via normal odin, complained that it didnt recognise the device.
So though what the heck, go staight to the latest pre rooted c9 firmware and had a thought. I was still rooted at this point and the phone ran with 4.4.2 nc5 with the mh1 boot loader. I stripped the boot loader out of the downloaded prerooted nc9 rom, flashed that with normal odin, then flashed the whole rom again with bootloader over the top.
I now have official status. No knox flags and root.

knox kernal lock: 0x0

Perhaps there is something of significance here for others or maybe someone can point out what I've missed or done wrong.

I am sure that you are very happy for your success. I am pretty sure that you will have many friends soon. I am almost certain that your phone's IMEI number will be soon used for unlocking some stolen phone somewhere by IMEI cloning.
What is the base of my feeling?
Well, you have provided both, your own mobile number and IMEI number on the screenshots.
Are you sure that you know what are you doing?
The number is wrong

Well, I read something about a flash counter, and i searched around a bit and found this
It's a counter that tells how much times you've flashed custom stuff. If you have a counter different from zero it means that your warranty is voided. Anyway, you can get a usb jig from ebay to reset the counter to zero in case you need to get it to zero. So you shouldn't worry too much about it.

It counts the number if times you flash non-official firmware or kernel etc.
It increases only when you flash a non-official firmware or kernel etc.

And about how to check?
Just go to download mode.
(VOLUME-DOWN + HOME + POWER while the phone is off)

But I didnt see anything in the download mode which would tell me the flash counter?
Anyone tried to check on our phone or anyone knows how to find it?
There is no flash counter for sgsl.. the sgs2 and the note has it..
Edit: this is what it looks like (through download mode)

That's great for us!
Oh, I see.
Ohk Thanks.
Well, a few days ago sgs2 users with no usb jig to reset the counter (like me ) rejoiced because chainfire made an app that removes the triangle (result of flashing un official kernel) and sets the counter back to zero (but requires and upgrade to ics first). But once you removed the flash counter, when upgrading to another ROM through mobile odin or CWM, the flash counter won't increase. It only increases if you flash through odin (PC version)

Well, that's really good that there is a way to reset the counter.
I was getting a bit edgy about it, since if there would be such a counter, the service centre would get to know about the flashes and modding and warranty would get void. But since there is no counter in our phone, no worries for now.
I did a search but couldn't find anything specific to my question, so I'm posting g here. My apologies if it's been asked before.
I was looking at my phone status and I saw that under that information, it says "modified" (see screenshot). I am rooted, via Odin, and running CleanRom. As I was searching, I also found out that there's a flash counter? I, coming from an HTC and this is my first Samsung phone. Should I be worried about this?
I also read about Triangle Away and I looked it up on Play. It said it only works with some firmware. I am running TWRP recovery, and I assume a custom kernel was installed when I rooted, but I've never flashed a custom kernel because I don't see the need.
Thanks for any input you can give!

You should only worry about it when returning your phone to your carrier since you voided your warranty by rooting.
As far as I know, it only counts the number of times a custom firmware has been installed.
Flashing a ROM is okay, but using Odin will trip the flash count. So maybe it's only when using download mode.
It's nothing major to worry about, unless you want to return the phone. It's basically an indicator to vzw/Samsung that you've modified the firmware.

You should have used the rootdebugfs method as it doesn't require download mode thus eliminating the need of Triangle Away.
Is there a way to check my flash counter?

Triangle Away also checks the flash counter. I just use the app and it shows the flash counter as 0 on my phone. Like you I rooted and flashed a custom ROM.
Boot into download mode and hit the up volume key.
(Same process for using Odin)
(Also a thing to note.. Even though in down load mode your phone will say. Do not dissconect or turn off. Or whatever it says. But after you have checked the status of your flash count you need to pull battery to reboot. It will not harm your phone )
At the top left there will be some text.
You will be looking at the custom binary count or something along that line.
It will either say no, or have a number in parenthesis like this. (1)
If your binary count is equal to any number... Then use the app called triangle away from the play store. It is a paid app but well worth it for VZW gs3.
I can confirm it works Haha
Hit that thanks button if I helped you.

No need to pay for triangle away, chainfire offers it free to xda members

You're in the Verizon s3 forum, ask this question in the i9300 forum, the phones are completely different.

And you manually Odin to 4.1.2 with full firmware?? It's not possible to downgrade...Anyway, try to Odin again with PIT file and full factory firmware. Also make a backup of the IMEI folder before you do it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1804117
If still not working you need to replace your SIM card(free from your provider) and call your provider to reprovision the card, just like when you first brought the phone.

What I have learned so far from the community
You Can't Root/Custom/flash a Verizon tab, which has a locked bootloader, neither you can use odin to flash a stock rom or firmware.
these are carrier locked devices and only the company has their way around it. absolutely no support outside their service centers. I am sorry but they won't give it away. don't flash any other device rom, as the device is a CDMA and the other device is either a GSM or a Wifi only tab. the other big difference is the chipset which is completely different from other tab and will never work.
my advice don't take any risk here.
see, if you can access recovery and factory reset the device.
update:
the people somehow got the SCH-I705 bootloader unlocked (it has the same chipset just the screen size difference 10.1 and 7.0 inches)
Check this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536364
some I915 users also flashed the I705 Rom, which resulted in a touchwiz error, I don't know what else issues they encountered. but it seems i915 could be rooted as well. as reported in that thread by a user. you should ask them as well, see all the options, then proceed with care.
Thanks for the info! But i have corrections about the tab its not SCH-I915 its SGH-T779
I found it after i try to go to download mode.
Im confused now, the sgh t779 is a t mobile but at the back of my tablet theres a logo or sticker of Verizon.

there you go, you have got a official stock firmware from samsung.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-T779/
you have working download mode, and there is a firmware.
flash and check.
but before you do, check the recovery option, by pressing the Power and Volume Down(left button), see if it works after clearing data or factory reset
