So something strange I've been noticing after moving through some time zones traveling is that the stock messages app is reporting texts being received an hour later than they actually are, regardless of the time zone they were texted from.
For instance, I'm in CST and I received a text from someone in MST. The actual current time would be 8:56pm CST but a text from that MST person would say 9:56pm. Upon pressing message details, it reveals the message was sent at 9:56pm and received at 8:56pm. Very strange. Has something gone wrong? Anyone else experience this?

need the stock messaging app apk
I am looking for the stock m8 sense 6 messaging app. I flashed the Extreme power saving version but it does not show how many new text messages in notification. Also it limits the mms size to 300k. Want to flash back the original one or need a fix. PM me or post. Thanks

This actually seems to have solved my issue as well. I didn't realize the extreme power saver mod altered the messages app.

After you ran the command in adb did your phone flash to the white HTC screen for just a moment? If not, I'd try the process again.

I ran the command in ADV, but nothing happened. I attached an image of the command. My phone did not flash to the HTC white screen at all. I have ran it multiple times and nothing happens. Can you send me the original apk from a titanium backup?

The stock messaging app is in the link that I posted. Is adb recognizing your device? In adb, type in "adb devices" w/o quotes & make sure your phone shows up.

Yep ADB clearly shows device is attached. not sure what to next after trying these steps. I was even willing to try and get all the way back to stock, but have not found a way.

If you froze/uninstalled the HTC setup wizard then this won't work. I luckily just froze mine, so a quick defrost and the ADB command worked.

If you guys run into any problems or errors please let me know so I can see whats wrong.
Follow the Video set by step.
Sorry if I talked quietly I'm sick.
Enjoy!
Fixed. If you are getting a adb command not found error. Redownload the big file or download the runmefix.zip (Check your tube video) uncompress the file and put runme in the thunderbolt directory of your desktop.
If you download the big file after April 9th 2011 at 7:30am then you do not need this fix
Saw the video. Got the files. Will be doing this as soon as my phone is charged in the AM. Hopefully it works.

Yes. Worked awesome. Takes a while, but it worked. Just make sure to follow directions to the T, I accidentally hit enter on a command too soon and had to start over. But all works as far as I can see. Super easy, but takes a while.
Thanks again to OP!
This looks great--no messing around in ADB?
Its uses adb but you don't have to worry about it or anything like that.. The download includes what it needs.

Yeah it worked great for me, the first time around the phone booted earlier than it should have and I had to do the whole thing over, and the second time I tried to remover the Verizon Backup via titanium backup (**DO NOT TRY THIS**) and almost bricked my phone, and so the third time everything worked perfect and now Im running Perfect Storm by Chingy and its awesome thanks!
My phone isn't recognized. Usb debugging is checked but the terminal window just says checking for phone over and over. Any ideas ?

I had that happen for me as well. It seems that by default the Mac doesn't recognize it. Click ignore on the pop-up and click okay for charge only. Unless this is what you did. In that case try again

how do you start over? do you just turn off the phone and restart the app on your computer?
Hey all,
This started a couple of weeks ago and has gotten worse. I'll be using my phone normally and it will just freeze. No warnings, no messages, nothing. If I wait around 5 minutes I'll be booted back to the lock screen and the message "Unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped." The phone will then function normally. Now when it freezes I just hold down the power button until the phone restarts since it's quicker.
I haven't installed any new apps recently so I don't think it's down to that. Sometimes before the phone freezes it will stutter badly for about 20 seconds. Would appreciate any help. Running stock 4.4.4.
Would be helpful if you could post your logcat/dmesg. That way we can have a look and narrow down the problem

Make sure you enable USB debugging. I believe in this case logcat is more important than dmesg.

Are you using CM or some other type of themes? I used to see that often. So I stopped using them.

Unfortunately afaik as of JB you either need root for logcat or access to a computer.
I'm just taking a shot in the dark here but perhaps try wiping the cache partition from recovery? You don't need a custom recovery to wipe cache.

To all: Make sure that you do a clean flash when coming to this Rom and to make sure you flash the boot.img that comes with it. You should show 172 apps on boot or so. If not, make sure to reflash. For theme stuff: If you guys have any requests, I'm open to adding in unique color choices!

Restart your phone. As soon as the HTC Blue Logo disappears, hold volume-down and the power button at the same time and don't let go I Tim your phone reboots into hboot.
Another method is to hook your phone up to your computer that has adb. Open a command prompt in the folder you have adb and type: adb reboot recovery
That will send you into recovery.

Sounds like you have a update file on your external sdcard and the boot loader is reading it. If you try entering recovery this way, eject your sdcard until you get a chance to rename that file to something else then try this method again. Otherwise, use the adb method for going into recovery.

I noticed that when device is inactive for a long period wifi disconnects and the only way to get it back is to restart. Can't give a exact amount of time, has happened overnight and when I wake I have to restart to get wifi back....it says wifi is on but just keeps scanning. I also just had WiFi completely Crap out for no reason, was not inactive.
Just one question, is smart lock? not in the ROM? The one where if you have Bluetooth device no need to unlock the password
WiFi issue as well on sense roms
I love this ROM its my favorite but I also have this WiFi bug where if I have the fphone
sitting screen off idle the WiFi disconnect and it no longer scans and
I have to toggle it off and on and it takes a really long time to toggle. anyone
else experiencing this or found a solution. I've only seen this on Roms with

The problem is due to firmware not being up to date and is usually resolved by updating to the latest available firmware.

Hi All,
Im constantly getting the error the process com.google.process.gaps has stopped. As soon as I get the error I click ok and it pops straight back up again. Its basically makes the phone unusable.
I can only access the phone via usb to save any files if I boot into recovery. I've tried various different gapps downloads to no avail.
I cant wipe the phone unfortunately as I have text messages that I need . I'm running the latest cyanogenmod nightly.
If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it.
