I have messed up real nasty.

I flashed userdata, and it wiped everything as expected.
But I didn't have a ROM installed. So I'm OSless and there is no OS on the internal SD card anymore.
What do I do in this situation?

That's because you've not got adb/fastboot in your System Path. You'll need to extract the image to your fastboot folder and then run the flash-all.bat file again

Nexus 5 freezing - com.android.systemui has stopped

Hey all,
This started a couple of weeks ago and has gotten worse. I'll be using my phone normally and it will just freeze. No warnings, no messages, nothing. If I wait around 5 minutes I'll be booted back to the lock screen and the message "Unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped." The phone will then function normally. Now when it freezes I just hold down the power button until the phone restarts since it's quicker.
I haven't installed any new apps recently so I don't think it's down to that. Sometimes before the phone freezes it will stutter badly for about 20 seconds. Would appreciate any help. Running stock 4.4.4.
Would be helpful if you could post your logcat/dmesg. That way we can have a look and narrow down the problem

Make sure you enable USB debugging. I believe in this case logcat is more important than dmesg.

Unfortunately afaik as of JB you either need root for logcat or access to a computer.
I'm just taking a shot in the dark here but perhaps try wiping the cache partition from recovery? You don't need a custom recovery to wipe cache.

Restart your phone. As soon as the HTC Blue Logo disappears, hold volume-down and the power button at the same time and don't let go I Tim your phone reboots into hboot.
Another method is to hook your phone up to your computer that has adb. Open a command prompt in the folder you have adb and type: adb reboot recovery
That will send you into recovery.

Sounds like you have a update file on your external sdcard and the boot loader is reading it. If you try entering recovery this way, eject your sdcard until you get a chance to rename that file to something else then try this method again. Otherwise, use the adb method for going into recovery.

I noticed that when device is inactive for a long period wifi disconnects and the only way to get it back is to restart. Can't give a exact amount of time, has happened overnight and when I wake I have to restart to get wifi back....it says wifi is on but just keeps scanning. I also just had WiFi completely Crap out for no reason, was not inactive.
Just one question, is smart lock? not in the ROM? The one where if you have Bluetooth device no need to unlock the password
WiFi issue as well on sense roms
I love this ROM its my favorite but I also have this WiFi bug where if I have the fphone

I have to toggle it off and on and it takes a really long time to toggle. anyone
else experiencing this or found a solution. I've only seen this on Roms with

The first thing you need to do is get rid of the toolbox. Nothing but trouble. Plus, if you can't modify your phone without a toolbox you shouldn't be modifying it at all. Uninstall whatever drivers you have installed, reboot the PC, install these drivers, reboot PC again, connect phone, flash stock images (see section 8 of my guide thread).
Exactly how did your phone get into the boot loop?

I'm pretty sure you just got unlucky and had a corrupt persist partition, it's a bug that has happened to a few people, that particular automated flash tool flashes the stock images plus it flashes the persist partition. There isn't really anything you can do it avoid it, but i don't think I've seen it affect the same phone twice.

i think i spoke a bit too soon. everything worked fine, but now my phone is getting stuck when it boots. the screen it totally unresponsive. this was the same thing which happened when i restarted my phone. it might be some app i have installed.
i might have to redo the process.
is there a way to find out which one it is?
The only real way to find out would be to start fresh and introduce apps one at a time to see which one is the culprit. But I'd be surprised if an app was causing this.

Brand new OP, O bricked, x-post from OnePlus forums

So I installed CM12S on my device and now i'm just getting a black screen, the phone still vibrates when buttons are pressed and I can get the device into fastboot mode, although I can not see it on screen, I can see it on device manager.
Now I've tried the various methods on this forum using ColorOS and the OnePlus Recovery tool, neither of these change the state of my device.
Currently dealing with OnePlus support at the moment which is awful to say the least, they have booked me in for a remote session which is in 2 weeks ... no appointments before then, ive disputed on PayPal with them currently as I dont think this is good enough, anyone got any other ideas to get my device back up and running?
Thanks
Id say to install adb on your computer so that that way you can reflash the roms manually from your computer. Or at the very least flash stock and then whatever customs from there. Here is a link to the thread with the links in the OP with straight forward step by step instructions. Good luck!

I have ADB and can succesfully get into fastboot, although I cannot see it on-screen I can see it listed in device manager in windows, Ive tried flashing several ROMs using the fastboot commands and still cannot get the thing to turn on.
I honestly dont believe the device to be completely dead, to note last time I saw this device on I was at 4% battery. But have also left the phone on charge overnight.
