Honestly, it's fast GPS for me I just had a veeeeeeeeeeery old navigation system with a SiRFstar II chip before, it took 10-15 MINUTES finding satellites and starting route calculation!
After rooting, my favorite feature is blocking adds.

Mine also. The touchscreen response is very poor compared to my previously owned Xperia Sola.

I know it's tft but what's Relevance between kind of screen and touch screen?! I hope sony improve it on next update though it seems hardware issue!

the difference is capacitive touch screen less sensitive than Xperia SOLA coz
sola has floating touch n more sensitive screen
Well to me it appears hypersensitive... It seems that it depends on what someone is used to (and what phones you owned before). I had Wildfire, Desire, Wildfire S, Nexus 7, Galaxy Tab2 10.1. XL has by far most sensitive digitizer...
HOWEVER... i have a feeling that sometimes it registers touch instead of slide and such things... Sony needs to update software to make digitizer work better...

Download SGS Touch Screen Booster on playstore..
My setting :
Sensitivity : 25
Register Touch : 0
Motion : 0
Filter : 46
Multi Touch : 4

go to "Setting>Language&Input>pointerspeed" slide it to left, It will improve touch performance

No and the app doesnt really do anything, I tried and no effects at all. It's hardware issue so we have to live with it.

Added these lines, saved, did a quick reboot and then tried that app. Still no difference.

Just enabled high graphics in asphalt 8 and it's working fine in my tab 2...but there are a few effects which are missing like road shining,traffic,real time reflections etc...etc.but in my bro's canvas HD,everything is working....plz help!!!

Its a hardware limitation. Its the same for anyone playing the game on a tab 2.

The minimum brightness is still very bright in my XL .....at night i ve to use night filter, a kind of app that puts a black colour filter over screen.....
This lowers the contrast and screen looks washed out .
I found a fix in Gravity box......i managed to lower the brightness to a lot lower level.....now i dont even use night mode filters....screen has good contrast at night too and my eyes are not strained anymore ......this likely improves battery life too .
Steps :
1. Install Xposed .....set it up
2. Download Gravity box module .
3. Under the Display tweaks and go to brightness settings
4 . Set minimum brightness level to 5 as shown in the screenshot .
5. Reboot

Yeah soft reboot ll b fine too....and i ve used pie controls but i m more comdortable with this nav bar...though , i ve reduced its height

I ve clearly mentioned why screen filter is not as good as this method.....screen filter lowers contrast and does not save any more battery

I too use screen filter but as he said it lowers contrast ratio too, and this tweak will save battery too thus more useful
Can you do something similar to this, but with the volume, and instead of reducing the high-volume limit, increase it?

Sorry , i cant do anything in this regard.
But in my Xperia Tipo , the volume level was higher in cm10 with DSP Manager compared to Sony stock rom with xLoud.
So, dont lose ur hopes until cm11 arrives .

Why Galaxy screens and the shots taken from their camera are so over saturated? For that matter I changed the Adaptive display to Basic it looks much better.

you can tune down a bit on screen > adaptive display to photo
and on camera, use pro mode, with all auto but saturation toned down to your preference.
Im still looking for a proper way, though
