Reroot tab plus - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

Hello all I need help. I rooted my tab plus and it installed superuser then I installed the slimkat 4.4 kitkat rom from this forum section. Well after rooting I had the superuser app icon but after installing the rom it's not rooted anymore and superuser disappeared. How do I Reroot is my question? Without a PC. I made a recovery in order to install the rom with an app called root tools from google play.. Please help.. I am pretty savy with these things but I searched and tried all kinds of things but I'm stumped

Out of box rooted??

So i just bought this today from bestbuy. I have a GS3 rooted anyway, I know what I'm doing for the most part. My question is, my tablet is rooted out of the box? I was installing my apps and it installed root explorer, rom manager and superSU. When i opened rom manager and R/E supersu asked for permision. I can also go in R/E and edit or delete apps as I can with my rooted S3. The only thing is clockwork is not installed, i go to install it and only gives me 3 options for samsung phones. My status evens says normal and it has no flash counts. I know they could be cleared, anyway has anyone else seen this?

Try writing a file to "/system". If you can't, you're not actually rooted. Installing apps that require root doesn't mean you're rooted either. If you need root and CWM, check the CF-Root thread in Original Development.

Need help after rooting

Hi all i am new to this forum.
I bought this Samsung galaxy note few days back from a frnd of mine...i have rooted this phone after researching for so many days as to how to...got it rooted also got the su icon..but as i was expecting to be able to uninstall all the stock apps after rooting...probably it was not so...i did read instructions online n used ESFile Explorer to uninstall those stock apps such as Google+ but could not find it there, tried to uninstall crayon physics, deleted it but there is ghost like icon still
there showing memory card against that icon. I want it fully gone n also to be able to find other apps such as google+
Apart from this please help me as to how to install a custom rom n what does that have to do with kernel flashing..i tried to search but found so many kernels n roms that do not know which one would be the first one (rom or kernel). The current android version is 4.0.3 n i would love to install Jelly bean if u guyz can help me. My current kernel version is 3.0.15-N7000XXXLPY-CL-474507...i am probably asking too many questions but i would really appreciate if u guyz can help me..n yes forgot to mention that i did install ROM Manager n backed up my current ROM...thanks

Answer to first question: Get Titanium backup you can un install apps or freeze them but be careful what you get rid of
Galaxy S3
Omega rom V34
The system apps will be in /system/app. Go there, with R/W, delete the app u want. And as said above, BE CAREFUL! U delete the wrong one, u might have to flash the whole ROM over again to get that back!

Hi...what i was trying to say before thatvi wad able to root the phone but had no idea as to how to flash kernel...i went through xda forum yesterday n tried to flash CM10 n ended up with samsung first screen n nothing else...i again went throught xda forum n downloaded stock firmware n flashed using pc odin n followed instructions...now i have it rooted via ExynosAbuse n have Titanium back up as well
Now wen i go to recovery mode it shows multiple csc installed coz i previously had firmware from different csc code...please tell me how to get rid of it n now that i have already tried to flash kernel once can someone guide me what to do n what not to...n is it possible to install Jelly Bean firmware using pc odin with stock kernel....

Complete noob here. I am wanting to root my Rogers Samsung Galaxy S3 i747M. The reason for this is that I would like to uninstall all the Rogers apps and the stock Samsung Music Player. Also, will my phone appear the same after rooting? All apps would still work as they do now?
If I use ChainFire AutoRoot will I be able to uninstall the above mentioned apps without problems? And would I have to do this by installing/buying Titanium Backup? Should I also install/run? Triangle Away to reset the flash counter? I am still under warranty and would like to remain able to use if necessary (I believe I would have to unroot if warranty work required)
Any help would be greatly appreciated

[ROOT] Straight Talk: Samsung Galaxy Centura

It's been successfully rooted with POOT.
It has also been rooted via CWM by Area51 Here for CWM and then Here for Root! I did find some ROM development going on at Area51 as well here. Area51's CWM does not appear to play nice with any phone rooted with Poot however so it's best to install CWM from Area51 first and then use their root method.

The root method used at A51 is out-of-date, and can't be updated. Therefore, you'll continuously receive an update notification and won't be able to stop it.

Not True! All you have to do is just not install the update when it boots you into CWM. This will be fixed when they complete the ROM they're working on. I don't get update reminders after accepting the first one and just not installing it once in recovery mode at the install screen!
My roomate just got this phone, gonna root it for her. Thanks for posting methods.

You might want to wait for Area51 to complete their first ROM for the phone. Currently it has an annoying update that keeps trying to install over the rooted stock OS that will break root if you install it. Of course you can just keep clicking on accept and then selecting NO when you get to the install update screen in CWM like I do, but it's an annoyance.
Is area51 still working on a ROM?

Galaxy Centura 4.X
Is there any roms for the Samsung Galaxy Centura on StraightTalk that is Android version 4.1, 4.2 or above?
Not yet. Something that Samsung broke in the kernel is preventing the ROMs from booting up.

Cool just rooted one of these and uh, any recommendations on a root required app to use the phone as a wifi hotspot free of charge?
I just installed cwm with Odin and I did a backup. I downloaded all the files for root and place it in clockwork backup folder. When I go to cwm and restore backup folder I get a md5 mismatch error. Is their anyway to fix that?

Did you rename the backup? If it has spaces, it will cause that error.

What's the best method of returning this phone back stock is there a flashable firmware or tar file?
Does anyone know what has become of Androidarea51 ??
I've been trying to access that site for some time and it always fails to load.
It has been mentioned in this thread as a source for rooting this model of phone and I've just been given one & would like to root it...
Thanks.
Did anyone get the ROM to boot up? I've been trying but all I get is a black screen

Lost root!?!?!? Help!

So I have twrp and slim Kat 4.4 on my tab 2 and I tried installing xposed framework and it says I don't have root... then I downloaded root checker and it said the same. No idea how I lost root but what's the best way to get it back without starting all over?

So you've rooted that bad boy previously, right? If so, on Android Andi's Omni build you have to flash SuperSU after ROM and gapps. Maybe Slim is the same?

Flash supersu.zip in twrp. By this you should get your root back

brother just flash super su zip file from recovery and everything will be fine
If you want to make root permanent then open titanium backup hold super su and select " convert to system app ". By this you will not loose root again until you flash a new rom. Factory reset your phone and see still you have root

Help me out guyz

I have rooted my Galaxy Grand Neo Plus using instructions from one of the threads from xda itself. I used kingo root ( not King root) to root my device. Well, I was glad when it was successful but....it installed another superuser app instead of SuperSu . I installed supersu from store and that asked to update binaries....i tried to solve that problem by flashing a su bb installer attached in a video....but..it failed. My su binaries are still not updated....and my root is not stable bcoz of that....please help me out guyz

i would re-flash stock and start over with the correct files. once you mess up root it usually not a simple fix to get it straightened out, and in many cases its not fixable at all without starting over.
Thanks for responding me....
I understood you when I said " it's not a easy task" but.....
There might be any recovery for my device to get out of this trouble.
Or...should I root it once again with any good tool..m.could I suggest for specifically Galaxy Grand Neo Plus

i really dont know if there is some way around this for your device. it has been my experience with many devices that there is not, but i didnt want to say there is no way ever, because i obviously cant be familiar with every device ever made.
your best option, and the only one i know of, is to start over with clean stock.
Okay
