I'm not sure about it but I think that 8960 has 1.7 Ghz. Coz it's inside Xperia SP. Cores of both phones (XL and XSP) are same (Krait 28 nm) the only difference is frequency. And that might be why it shows 8960 i've noticed it too when I used custom kernel.

This is because custom kernel and oc. Thunderzap and Phantom use some stuff from msm 8960 kernel so this kind of apk with hw detection can see ur cpu like it is msm 8960 not msm 8230 which is really inside our XL

Adreno 220 GPU update results

Applying Adreno 220 GPU update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1636752
Here are the results with quadrant (faux123 006+ ondemand governor) :
Before (ARHD 6.6.3 XE with Hardware 2D checked) :
Total : 3780
CPU : 7420
Mem : 3042
I/O : 5768
2D : 505
3D : 2166
AFTER (ARHD 6.6.3 XE with Hardware 2D checked)
Total : 4023
CPU : 7341
Mem : 3225
I/O : 6179
2D : 1042
3D : 2316
so this is what i experienced with the new drivers:
i'm using open sensation cm9
1)
before: browsing was fast, but some sites like nytimes (non mobile version) had a little lag because of the huge content
after: all the lags are gone --> super fast just like with an iPhone 4s
2)
before: contacts app --> cold start actually very fast but not instant
after: cold start of contacts --> instant --> no waiting
is it safe? will it clash with other ROM in the future?
i am using ARHD 6.6.3, but if i decided to flash other ROM, will it causes problem?
Should be safe, CM9 already has it.

[AIO][DEV][RESEARCH]BLU ZOEY SMART 3G Development and Research Thread

}
The BLU Zoey Smart is a bad phone. There's no getting around that. KaiOS stutters at the best of times with 512mb of RAM. The BLU Zoey Smart has 256mb of RAM.
Here are the full specs:
RAM: 256MB
Internal storage: 512MB
Micro SD Card: Up to 32GB
Processor: Spreadtrum SC7731ef/SP7731ef
Front Camera: VGA
Back Camera: VGA
Network bands: GSM quad band, 3G - 850/1900/2100
Display: 2.4 inch 320x240
Battery: 1,000mah
Device Codename: Pike2
However, all hope is not lost. Every manufacturer I have asked has not released the kernel source for their KaiOS phone. BLU on the other hand, was all too willing to give it out.
Here is the kernel source for the BLU Zoey Smart: https://github.com/Qiangong2/android_kernel_blu_pike2
NOTE: You will need to clone https://github.com/yonglongliu/vendor in the same directory as the source code.
NOTE 2: I am still piecing together the kernel source to get it to build properly.
There is no touchscreen on this device, so CWM or PHILZ are most likely the only recovery options.
Here is the build.prop: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/Xw3ngwKcFx/ if anyone wants to look around
Also, here is a link to the firmware in case you destroy your Zoey Smart: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/blu-stock-firmware-repository-mediafire-t3853065
NOTE: You need Spreadtrum ResearchDownload to apply the firmware, which is found here. A guide to use ResearchDownload is found here
I have not extracted the pac file to view the actual firmware, just viewed the build.prop, so if someone would be willing to do that, it would be great.
Unusual additions:
The build.prop manually sets and reports the SAR value, which I am pretty sure is illegal or at the very least, very shady.
Reserved for future
No surprise, but the kernel source is broken. Yay -__- Thanks Spreadtrum.
sprd_dcam is the issue, I'm currently looking for a fix, but Spreadtrum kernels are infuriatingly not filled with commits. Most kernels usually have "updated kernel" as the commit message instead of cherry picking.
If anyone has experience with SPRD Kernels, I'd appreciate any assistance.

I have questions about my phone's hardware specs

Hello everyone, I'm new here, I don't mean to take your time but I have questions concerning my phone and I hope I get an answer. I use a Tecno spark go 2021 and I'm trying to check which cpu my phone uses cuz I didn't see it in settings, I only saw the CPU type. So I downloaded two apps to check the info
The info from CPU z showed I have Helio A22(MT6761V/WE) 1.8ghz but on Mediatek site, Helio A22 has 2.0ghz so I decided to use another app(devCheck), and it showed that the device uses Helio A20, with the same details but different name although I think it's using an Helio A20 but I'm still confused cuz I don't know which one to believe. Guys please do you Know the exact processor my phone use?
Here is the image from my device settings

}
This is the one from CPU z app
This is the one from devcheck app
My second question which is what brought me here is,
I'm trying to download a game, I met every other requirements but I need armv8-a cpu which my phone doesn't have, I tried to check the specs for the two processors mentioned above since I didn't know which one is on my phone. articles I saw online for both CPUs showed they use cortex A-53 and they have armv8-a (Helio A20 and A22). But using the hardware checking apps, it shows that the CPU uses Armv7 which makes me wonder if mediatek is not being truthful about their CPU specs.
In every Android OS's file named build.prop, located in /system partition, it is written which CPU architecture ( instruction set - 32bit or 64 64bit ) is supported. IMO all other CPU related infos given are irrelevant.
