Control PC through X10

Can someone tell a good app for controling pc through phone?i mean like showmypc with desktop capturing.Thank you

GMote but not sure it will do as much as you want. Still good though.

Thanks to all of you who whelped me. I am using Temaviewer now.Tryed Showmypc but for some reason it's not working.Dunno why...

Try phonemypc its so easy to setup all you gotta do is installed the program on phone and computer and that's it!

PhoneMyPC works flawlessly any time i use it. I got overly frustrated with all the other programs out there. Sometimes i get lazy and I use it as a mouse when i'm lying in bed.
The pc software has been running in win7 for months and it never seems to conflict with any other programs.

I have used Unified Remote with good success on several android devices with my multimedia pc that's hooked to the TV in the living room. My wife likes me using my tablet or phone better than the wireless keyboard.

The app Logmein is very good.
I can control 2 PC's at home and 2 works laptop using it.
It also has no issue with the proxy servers at work.

same goes for me... only thing i couldn't control with it: games

log me in ignition is the absolute best, I even have the sound (phone only not computer, so i was up stairs it wouldn't blast from downstairs

Hp Touchpad Keyboard

Hey I just bought a touchpad and all the things to go with it and I would just like to confirm that it does connect with our sensations. But just warning i am rooted using android revolution 3.0

The keyboard does although only the volume media keys work along with the qwerty keys. The card button does not work.

Useless only if you don't want to type any text....
I paired mine with my desktop and the card key acts as the windows key, so we should be able to map it to something in android.

Its really nice when your useing the MHL cable to put something on your screen. All i need now is a bluetooth mouse and i have a mini pc

hey, sorry to reopening old post, but I just got my HP TP bluetooth keyboard and I have 32GB TP.
I also have HTC Sensation 4G.
Keyboard works fine with TP, but I can't make my phone see it. You mentioned you made it work. Can you please walk through how you did it?
Seems like Scan for device in Bluetooth settings in the phone can't find it.. it finds and uses my headset and PC just fine, but not the HP keyboard.
PS
I have S-OFF but I haven't rooted, still using the stock rom (didn't find a need to flash so far...)

Peel Smart remote with Windows Media Center

Anyone have this working? I got the app to work with my TV and Receiver but it doesnt seem to support Windows Media Center.

try it out, I would just be happy to get the damned thing to turn the channel on the Directv box and not the tv. I can't figure out how to assign the priority to the set top box, I CAN'T be the only one

Infra Red & Virgin Media TiVo

Hi Guys!
Just thought I'd point out, the ir works with the Samsung TiVo by Virgin Media!
I read a review that said it doesn't and neither does the HTC One.
Very pleased I can control TV and TiVo now

Watchon really is a great app , it only took me a few minutes to set up two tv's and two sky boxes and it all works very well .

If you're talking about TiVo, select Virgin Media in the brand.
It works a treat plus its awesome that you can put the remote widget in the lock screen so you don't even need to unlock the phone to change channels

Tbh I'm not sure...
I got mine installed about 2 weeks ago and it was Samsung, that's why I was surprised when the review I read said it didn't work. Bet they chose TiVo rather than Virgin Media.

Does the App have learning capabilities or just the device list from Sammy?

As I know NO learning capabilities...now trying to find out if its only SW problem (stupid sammys apk) or HW is only IR transmitter not receiver...somebody?

I wonder if the camera could be used to capture the IR codes. If it's refresh rate is high enough. Otherwise some low-volume devices would need them hardcoded somehow.

I too have been unable to get my Virgin Media Cisco CT8620 Tivo box to work with WatchOn. I've tried the "Virgin Media", "Cisco" and "Tivo" options that it offers, trying the next code in each when prompted, but with no luck.
I filled out the contact box with details of the model information at the end when prompted, but I've no idea how long I'll have to wait for them to add support for this box.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have this working on Cisco VM TiVo.
I selected cisco as the box manufacturer on setting it up. Make sure you have the latest watch on installed from play store.

hi i have same problem my lg tv is brill but it wont find tivo its saying i have to get ir something of other i put in the brand virgin media tivo box but codes dont work now asking for serial no on tivo box did you do this or am i doing something wrong

IR Blaster is Awesome

When I got the phone, I assumed the IR Blaster was a gimmick and that I would hardly use it. Therefore it was not a selling point when buying the phone. Now I use it everyday. It is just so convenient to control my TV and be able to change channels while looking at the channel guide!

I wish there was a way for it to open the app directly to the remote to turn tv on. there are about 4-5 button presses I need to do to get the tv powered on

I dont know why but I cant get the app to work. It keeps saying that it cannot connect to the server. Ive seen other people mention this problem but I dont know if theres a fix for it yet.
Sucks because I would like to use the feature.

The IR blaster on this device is much better than the LG or Samsung versions, IMO... And when it works apparently (sorry for the luck). It does upset me that you can't add it to the lock screen like Samsung though. With viper, and probably other ways as well, you can add the shortcut to the lockscreen, so that save a few clicks.

There is a universal remote app that is amazing. Its 10 dollars but is worth every penny. I have been at the bar and turned off tv's as a joke. No one would think a phone can do that

Maybe I'm blind, but where is the guide button? Works great, but I can't figure out how to open up the guide on my AT&T U-Verse box.

What is it called exactly there are loads of apps titled simply ' universal remote'. Having an app like that that needs so little setup sounds pretty cool.

If you didn't sign up for an HTC account at start dot htc dot com then it will do that. Once I went through that, the TV app worked fine for me.

You can set it as lock screen. I just did. Your doc at the bottom is the same as your lock screen so you have to change it to one of those.

Yeah, I didn't think of that. It would be nice if we could set up as a widget. Be nice to double tap and there's the remote. Since its stock on other OEMs, I'm hopeful someone will make it happen on one of the great ROMs we have to choose from.

That's what I've been using. It has more remotes in it and you can input the hex codes. I've made some ir controlled switches and it has worked well for me.

Just an FYI, you can tap the add button on the top right in the TV app to set up any button from your controller. Don't think many people know that from reading this thread.
