Great app just install and reboot. Only shows up once the battery gets low. which should be only when you care about your percentage.

Not sure this works with TouchWiz, this was meant for AOSP ROMs initially. Have you actually tested this on an S5 before posting?
(Not criticizing just being skeptical, I'm only getting my device tomorrow evening)
I'm using nova launcher and it's shuffling great. Never used touch wiz since I bought it. I'll post results one my battery dies

You are using TouchWiz. Nova is just the launcher you are using. Touchwiz is much more than the launcher.

Same exact as in AOSP so working as intended. Just surprised it affected the TouchWiz UI as well. I guess Samsung didn't do too much modding there.

It's actually code written into KitKat. As openyoureyes mentioned, it's surprising it made its way all the way through Samsung's modifications. The app doesn't create the feature, just allows you to see it. Can't touch the framework.

Why should you care what percentage your battery is at? Once it's getting low I start to panic. I'd say it's as designed

Don't you want to know prior to when you can see it with this mod though?
Once it hits 50% I can see the top of the number. As long as I know when I can start to see the numbers I'm starting to get low

ok, a few years back, my windows phone had this really cool app, it was a bar across the top that was 1 or 2 pixels tall, multi colored that displayed the amount of battery left. someone told me it was in a rom, but I can't find it to save my life. maybe one of you has seen it or knows which mod, or anything about it, because I would LOVE to have that stupid little bar back.
Thanks
Pat.

It's built in to Cyanogen mod, if that's available for your particular decide. Not multi color as far as I know though.

sorry if im mistaken, i dont think this feature is on cyanogen mod. It is however on most of the 'MIUI' roms, i think it is standard on there.
Is this possible to have standalone? This would complete my device.

damn, wish it was standalone.. I'm pretty loyal to my current rom, at least until I get the new samsung infuse or whatever it's called.
+1 here, i still use LvmTopBat in my winmo, in colour and its the best. easy to read and always there.
hoping for a port

tried an miui sd build (by 3dak, very smooth build) and the top bar is sweeeet. a thin green line which filles up from the right when its charging, and on lockscreen.
i want, i want, want, but i dont want miui ;-)
it would be worth a few dollars even as a paid app,
anyone???
anyone know of a battery app that either puts a % over the stock battery icon
or removes the stock battery icon in the task bar and replaces it with a % reading
i really hate to have 2 battery bars and i dont like the widgets or live wallpaper much.

They should work. There is a backup there so download that also and go try things out.
Got tired of the stock AT&T boot animation so decided I needed to do something about it. Everyone is hot for the Galaxy Nexus animation so I decided to go another route.

Do you have a theme in the backround after it booted or was that just an image. If where where can I get it.

If I look at the AT&T boot animation for too long I all I can see is white for the next couple minutes... ugh...
...but whatever suites you. Even if it gives you a migraine .
Thats hot!!! :-D
If my phone was rooted, I would so use that!
Two questions:
-Does the boot animation slow down boot time at all?
-How did you change the battery icon in the notification bar? Does it show 1% intervals?
Thanks.
No, not anything you would notice.

http://dnbr.org/other****/batterybar%20widget.png
Hi guys.
Back when I was using my Desire HD I'd rooted my phone and installed Miui. My favourite feature was the battery bar that ran across the top of the notification bar (see http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/222/f/b/wip__by_chrisbanks2-d464k4m.png)
Anyway, now I'm on GNex and I totally miss this feature. I was wondering if something like a 4x1 widget that could display a battery line along the top of the widget to be placed on the top of a page as I've photoshopped above. The first image shows a 100% battery and the second 40%.
Anyway, just an idea someone might wanna follow up I certainly wouldn't mind paying a couple of quid for this and I'm sure other people would agree.

Big THANK to you noranyan for giving us this link !
I was looking for a MIUI-like Battery Bar for days, and now, it's done !
So thank you !
@kaineshutler : you're right, the color sheme is a bit iffy, but stay tuned because perhaps the dev will implement a color selection in the future...
Recently, he added the ability to put the bar on bottom.
So it means that the dev is still working on it !
Thanks for pointing this battery app out. Probably would have never found it. Hope the dev keeps updating it.
On thing I noticed good or bad is that the battery bar is always shown in any app so far, even games. I like it because some games do not show battery, and this is pretty unobtrusive.

This is a 1% Battery Mod for Clean Rom 4.5. You can use it as is or use it to apply any of my real icon theme batteries.

edit: hey guys. Sadly, my 1% battery mod works BUT NOT WITH MY THEME. What irony. so please dont try themtogether , you will lose your status bar. Beans and Synergy have one built in already so those are ok with my theme. These work if you just want them by theirselves.
