[Q] Request for CM 11 on P3113 - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been having this problem for a while
I need CM 11 for my Galaxy Tab 2 7'' (P3113) and I have CWM Recovery
This is the problem, whenever I see a link for what I'm looking for
It doesn't work
What I think is since the P3110 and the P3113 are identical, no one bothers to make a ROM exactly for the P3113
Just the P3110
So if someone has a ROM exactly for the P3113, I'll be greatly appreciative

The p3110 Roms are made to work with the p3113 and even have built in IR blaster drivers. They will definitely work

Maybe I should use a different recovery

Most likely; i also had a similar problem before.
Always flash a p3110 recovery, even if there's a recovery for the p3113.
Most mods/.zips i used were not edited for installation on the p3113 but the p3110 always works.

It is for P5110. I made a huge blunder with the titles. Sorry! It has been fixed above
lucky you!! still nothing for p5100
Works on P5113
Flashed with Mobile Odin and everything seems to be working on my 5113. Wont be able to test the IR blaster until i get home, but Peel is not giving me any errors and loads right up.
Hi guys, is it possible to flash the p5110 firmware into a p5100? I've the p5100 from a gift, but I don't use the sim, I'm not interested.
Bye
Yes you can but i´ll advice not to b/cos p5100 is wt 3G while 5110 without
edit: best way to flash this firmware is with mobile odin if you want to keep root and CWM recovery

Thanks for the fast reply. I know the difference between the P5100 and the P5110. I'm not using the 3G, only wifi or tethering from my phone. Reading the instruction for the update it's "forbidden" to flash it into other variant of the tablet, so I'm a little scaried...
Will it work with the GT-P5110 ?
How is the rom btw ? Laggy like ics ?

two questions:
A) I assume this will work on my P5113, correct?
B) In the tutorial linked in the first post, it says something about clicking PDA in Odin and looking for the file that says "CODE". However, the file that I downloaded and extracted does not say "CODE" anywhere in its name. Is this a mistake in the tutorial or am I doing something wrong?
Statut of P5110 is modified !!
Is it normal ?

I know the answer, but I'm gonna ask it anyway just to be sure... I have the BLH4 (NEE) 4.0.4 rom (P5110)... There's no issues if I just flash this rom into my 5110?... does it have the spanish language?
And the battery life?... it's better?... the wifi reception?... the butterness?... all in comparison with the 4.0.4 rom.
Thanks in advance
How about Danish language??
Dansk included

The rom runs fine, but when booting the screen ****s-up for a second (just before the samsung logo). Second thing is i don't have lockscreen shortcuts (not that i care) and it says modified in the status, but i think thats because i rooted it an removed some samsung crapp

I also hope someone is gonna make a custom kernel for it with a overclock option in it
Thanks for the links! Could we get a rooted flashable zip? I'd rather not have to re root.

[Q] NEWBIE ONTO SGT2 P3110 : 2 questions please...

Hi all,
I'm a newbie with my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 ( P3110 ) bought yesterday...
I've used android with other devices, like my wonderful P990, but with P3110 I cannot understand some things...
1) every flash ( rom or other ) increases FLASH COUNTER right ? But I can reset it with TRIANGLE AWAY app, right ?
2) I'm on 4.0.3 now. Just bought. I would like to flash latest STABLE rom... But I cannot understand where it's necessary to change the boot loader ( I think, with this device there're 2 bootloader like with other devices... OLD BOOTLOADER up to 4.0.x and NEW BOOTLOADER from 4.1.1 and newer... ). I would like to flash 4.1.2 multilanguage 'cause 4.2.x is not enough stable for daily usage, it's correct ?
3) GAPPS are the same as other devices ( like my P990 ) ?
4) ... thinking in course...
Thx u all ! :cyclops:
1. Only when you use ODIN.
2. No, there's no reason to ever flash a bootloader on this tab.
3. Yes, cm gapps are universal.

Other question :silly:
4) this device has not a 3G inside, so only wifi / bt / gps... It's useful to update the BASEBAND ? There're basebands to flash ? :highfive:
No, there aren't modems for the 3110.

5) Up to now... There's no way ( rom, kernels, etc ) to mount internal and external memory with USB Mass Storage Mode... right ?! :crying:
No... What OS are you running?

No, i'm assuming that the reason you asked #5 is that you're using a PC OS that doesn't support mtp, e.g. mac or linux. Which one?

I'm using in my 5 PC Win XP, Win 7, Win 8, Linux Mint, Linux Pinguy :silly:
But more quickly : MTP works well... but it's s**t ! I hate MTP ! :crying:
I would like to use my android based devices, like this new P3110, with USB Mass Storage mode... :good:
There is no UMS unless a dev tries to put it in. There is actually a way to mount mtp on Linux, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22570487

No you can't. However you can go onto cm's website and download the one for this phone. Or follow the links in original android development section.

That's probably not a good idea, as the kernels are different between different carrier versions. Generally.
Flashing a rom for the international version is the fastest way to get a true brick. Jtag is the only way to fix. Flash roms for your version only.

just to add to whats alraedy been said you might see your verizon s3 come up as d2vzw on some rom downloads.
