Flashed with Mobile Odin and everything seems to be working on my 5113. Wont be able to test the IR blaster until i get home, but Peel is not giving me any errors and loads right up.

Yes you can but i´ll advice not to b/cos p5100 is wt 3G while 5110 without
edit: best way to flash this firmware is with mobile odin if you want to keep root and CWM recovery

Thanks for the fast reply. I know the difference between the P5100 and the P5110. I'm not using the 3G, only wifi or tethering from my phone. Reading the instruction for the update it's "forbidden" to flash it into other variant of the tablet, so I'm a little scaried...
Will it work with the GT-P5110 ?

A) I assume this will work on my P5113, correct?
B) In the tutorial linked in the first post, it says something about clicking PDA in Odin and looking for the file that says "CODE". However, the file that I downloaded and extracted does not say "CODE" anywhere in its name. Is this a mistake in the tutorial or am I doing something wrong?

My p5110 status is "Official"...I came from the stock not rooted 4.0.4 Rom.

I know the answer, but I'm gonna ask it anyway just to be sure... I have the BLH4 (NEE) 4.0.4 rom (P5110)... There's no issues if I just flash this rom into my 5110?... does it have the spanish language?
And the battery life?... it's better?... the wifi reception?... the butterness?... all in comparison with the 4.0.4 rom.

The rom runs fine, but when booting the screen ****s-up for a second (just before the samsung logo). Second thing is i don't have lockscreen shortcuts (not that i care) and it says modified in the status, but i think thats because i rooted it an removed some samsung crapp

Firstly Thanks to Gary for all the rooting stuff and then chrisrotolo for his tutor on how to deodex stuff... while waiting the CM9 port, IF Samsung ever release ICS and we got nothing to do... and it happen that i got free time at my work today... sooo i just deodex the latest Thai Firmware release on MArch 2012 - Build Number HTJ85B P6200DXLC1
Only test it on that firmware... so can say you cant try on others... got nothing much on that firmware... samsung just added some google software like google+ and its messenger... other thing dont have much different... maybe they fixed some bug that we dont know... cant find the released log...
Deleted some unwanted stuff so it is really light version... most of samsung software gone... including widget...
how to use it...
1. make sure you are on official DXLC1 firmware.
you can download the official firmware from here...

You need to flash this using Odin.
2. download the deodexed files here

my tab7plus becomes kindda fuk'ed up after flashing dxlc1.. random reboots, for the first few hours, then.. stopped booting correctly.. reboot on every boot!
Guys did you see your build base before flashing this one? If you're coming from example KL7 or others you should NOT flash it! It's basic!
If you had the right build then things change but be sue before flash
For the language pack Just use MORE LOCALE app and you'll get your own lang

I have the same language pack issue flashing some themes. I don't know why but it pissed me off.
A quest , why are you flashing this one? Don't you have the European build EUKL1 CSC based on XKL7 PDA???

Hey dude, you don't need no Odin if you got the CWM Recovery. You only need to flash it with this one by "install zip from SDCard"
Before flashing anything (ROMs or kernels), it's always good to wipe at least dalvik and cache.
If you're flashing the same ROM that you ALREADY OWN on your device, you won't need no factory reset! By the way, for more cleaning, you're free to do it (even 'cuz you'll be able to restore all Google backups such as contacts or Gmail or passwords or apps in Google Play - you won't never lost your SD partition if you wipe your data factory... You'll lost it only with a full wipe)
Why don't you flash the DEODEXED instead of the odexed one? Better performance with the first one

I won't never advice you that...
First, I've seen such different firmwares (instead of the european one - XEUK7L1/XKL7) with no european language pack! So you're gonna risk if you flash this Thai firmware.
Second, with your XKL7 you own a radically different CSC instead of this one (which has OLBKK8) so you're gonna risk a weak modem for your country
Finally, even if you can flash it by full wiping, you should never do that

I am reverting back to stock firmware as I am having 2 issues with CM9 ROM
1. Always receiving incoming calls in landscape mode
2. USB OTG is not working

how can I use them in ODIN for reverting back to stock firmware?

As i know open Odin 1.85 tick repartition put pit file by browsing for it in pit area and put the other file in pda area by browsing for it then hit start you should install kies or Samsung drivers for Odin to work

I don't think CM10 will help. One of the most annoying issue of CM10 is the home screen always stay landscape. And this is still not solved yet...
I have just flashed the JB leak from CM10. Everything is working well now!

I am also considering reverting back from CM9 because I would like to use the Samsung hardware keyboard.
Is USB OTG working in CM10?
I have tried using bluetooth but I live in a Spanish-speaking country and have not found a way to map the Spanish keyboard layout correctly. CM9 pairs nicely with an Apple bluetooth keyboard but special characters don't work, some keys are not in the same place and so on. Also, the Samsung keyboard dock is so nice, wish I could use it

Uhmmmm is it open line? I think thats your main problem.. you can check if theres a firmware for your country in www.samfirmware.com or just use the latest firmware mentioned by someone above..
If you want to flash to flash firmware.. not in the recovery mode but in odin mode.. power button + volume down..

You wont be bricking your tablet by flashing roms from different country.. my tab was from the philippines and i flashed UK ICS rom..
No problem with it..
A way of bricking you tab is wiping from ICS STOCK RECOVERY..
Remember that well.. but wiping from HC Stock recovery is safe and from CWM..

Get CWM from the dev section.. use the repacked 6.0.2.7 CWM.. flash it via odin.. the from CWM recovery.. flash root.zip

It should, I think. I remember in the CWM for 4.1.2 thread there was a disclaimer that it wasn't tested on the non-P in the beginning as there wasn't a non-P user posting any feedback back then but as we know, it worked.

Besides this if anyone can answer, if all the firmwares are the same then why does Samsung bring out a Different Firmware for every country?

Ok, Jerry's CWM works with our device.
Been fiddling with my phone for the past couple of hours. No noticeable increase in battery drain nor heat issues so far.
The 4.2.2 features have been posted by our I9105P brethren, e.g most welcome for me is that moving apps to ext sd is now supported.
Developer options is hidden. To enable it, "about device" -> "built number" and tap it 7 times.
That's it. I've nothing else to add for now.

I can't download. The link is just way too slow and it gets stuck somewhere in between. Have to put it download from the starting again.
Can anyone mirror it somewhere where download is resumable ?
Will download and try that one instead of I9105P version. Had some strange error with libEGL and hopefully it has been fixed :fingers-crossed:

Besides this if anyone can answer, if all the firmwares are the same then why does Samsung bring out a Different Firmware for every country?
Cant they just have one firmware for one phone universal around the world (except for network branded phones).

I'm guessing one reason is that the size would be bloody huge if they included every supported language and character module in just a single release. This 4.2.2 itself is almost 1gb

Well we do have all the languages in the firmware available right now. Dont we ?
Like the Firmware from Germany almost everyone around the world is using it. There must be some other major point

Nope, there's no Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese character input modules i believe. While non Russian/Balkan firmwares don't have support for cyrillic script.
By the way If you make a factory reset after flashing this new firmware, your phone's default language will be Russian
